Urban Fantasy RP -Another shade of the world-

Basically an All Myths Are True version of our Earth. You start as an Ordinary High-School Student Muggle on a school trip to a museum until you get separated from the main group and then things are never the same again.

Right now I wish to start with from one to three normal human characters for the opening scene, afterwards more and more magical PCs can be introduced.

The setting is an unespecified medium sized city in the United States which we'll call Volwick City. The tone of the game may vary depending on the players and since it's me who will be DM it might be a little animesque.

As for your character I just need a name and general description.

Idea sounds interesting, although I'm still not sure if I want to play as a muggle or not.

Well I don't know if this changes your opinion but the muggle characters may become magical themselves or have a secret talent or such. All that I require is that they think their world is totally normal until the event at the museum.

Also you may have more than one character, so you can make a muggle and later on something a bit more special.

Dario Wünsch

A typical decently smart but lazy kid who would actually get somewhere if he worked hard. He still does half decently in school despite the fact that he doesn't study. He's good looking but a tad quirky and is sarcastic. Good at acting. Likes video games. A bit of a Chivalrous Pervert. Emphasis on pervert part. Does want to learn a lot of different things like art, piano, etc, but is too lazy to actually start trying seriously.

Felix King

A Ridiculously Average Guy up to his amazing luck, Felix Just Wants To Be Special. He constantly daydreams, and is often forgetful because of this; he rarely wears shoes, socks, and, recently, has had to keep shirts in his backpack so he doesn't show up to school half-naked.

I am going to use The Rain Crow, Karasu, who I described...very specifically in the IJBM thread about Japanese Folk Legends.

Dork of a girl that reads too much sci fi. Almost 15 years old. Completely bald due to a Noodle Incident. Covert Pervert. Wears a beanie, and hippie style clothing.

As for the Crow... it might be a bit too much for them to handle in the beginning. I cannot imagine any outcome that doesn't involve somebody dying horribly.

Anyway since we have our three first muggles we can now start this. The RP and discussion thread will be made shortly. We'll see how to add Prince's character after he submits one.

Yeah, at first he won't do anything but influence Mooks, since his powers will be Sealed Evil in a Can. He pretty much at first is only able to be a Manipulative Bastard, ala First Evil.

What mooks?

He basically recruits bullies, and turns normal, human problems into intense situations.

I see... in that case he may enter but later on in the game. And try not to overdoit, for now I don't want the game to be Grim Dark.

alright...aiming for later Cerebus Syndrome, Daltar?

Not so much a Cerebus Syndrome... it might get a little more serious in time, but not quite Grim Dark.

A Crazy Prepared homeless guy who lost his life to seeing something he shouldn't. He keeps a knife, a large knife. Just in case.

A nerdy guy that was on the field trip. Museums, Hurray!!!

Think your stereotypical nerd/geek. (Einstein hair, big glasses, he is even half German, so he speak in {Gratious German). He is despite that a fantasy nerd and dot a sience nerd.

Why he did not showed up earlier? He is quite absent mint minded and have probably been walking around the museum without him noticing that it closed and and everybody left.

I highly doubt they are all from the same class. Usually in highschool multiple classes go on the same field trip. And one of them isn't even on the field trip.

Approved, then the only modification would be that he's from the same class as just one fo the other characters in the trip.

So, how long before we can make magicky characters? I've got two ideas, though admittedly, one of them is a serious Game-Breaker in terms of raw power. But his premise is much more interesting.

Right about now. People are now allowed to present supernatural characters.

Aw but I haven't put in a muggle sort of person yet. A-hem.

Irenaeus Quentin Jones. His parents gave him a cool sounding name because his last name was so common. It's a first name that old timey folks adore because it's an old Roman name and a good catholic name. He just goes by Ira. He's kind of a kid with problems. Not that he goes out and looks for trouble so much as trouble tends to find him. And then he gets blamed for it. it's made him somewhat of a brawler, but he actually hates fighting. he's just good at winning. it's earned him a reputation at his school as something of a badass loner that all of the bullies want to try to take down, but really, he's a very good student who enjoys sculpture and the leatherworking toolset that his dad, who was in the army, gave him before he went off to go get killed.

he's a skinny, tall kid that doesn't smile much. his ancestry seems to be some mix of Latin, Spanish and Irish. and has pale skin, black hair and blue eyes bordering on gray. He also has a pretty prominent nose, but that doesn't detract from his handsomeness. You can tell he'll be a heartthrob when he gets to be an adult. He tends to wear wolf themed t-shirts and torn up jeans.

After his dad's death His mom has had to work three jobs to support him, so he's pretty much on his own most of the time.
