The point of this thread is to list your favorite tropers and say what makes you like them so much. Please be specific; we already have Gushing About Shows You Like if you want to gush about TV Tropes or the Forums in general.
EDIT: Chopped the list because it's now quite outdated, and there are some comments in here that only made sense back in 2009 and may have even been a bit creepy.

Thanks, Goggles. After all this time, I'm still trying to find a good balance between reading thread with the mod hat on (for instance, I was || <- this close to stepping in mod-style on the exchanges about Tongpu in this thread — so I went and got a cup of coffee and had a cigarette and came back and said "eh, it's sorting itself out...") and setting it aside completely.
That said, the folks in The Noodle Incident Thread are fun (even if y'all did leave me to the tender mercies of the plants.
