Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

My favorite "original character", I think, would have to be (my interpretation of) Satan. He's obsessed with God and homesick but doesn't want to admit it, cos he's a proud jerk and stuff. Since he can't directly hurt God he gets his kicks from hurting things God cares about. A very insightful and foolhardy soul pushes him into Villainous Breakdown every once in a while.
Curious. My favorite hero now (of which I have dozens ;/) is a fallen angel who hides out on an island, occasionally helping out the inhabitants through visible philanthropy and invisibly-granted prayers...
He's a loner and bitter at Heaven, plus he lives pretty decadently.
Why would he want to be philanthropic?
A guilt complex, I think. Because he wasn't a good enough angel in Heaven, he's making it up to himself to be a better one on Earth.
Ooooh, this better not come out sounding like a religious tract...>_>

How does he feel toward other angels & God? Did he leave heaven by choice?
