The current page image for Use Your Head doesn't actually depict using one's head as a weapon.

Hmm... for alternatives, that scene from Toy Story 2 where the gang uses Rex to headbutt open an air-conditioning vent comes to mind.

Rex: "But I don't wanna use my head!"

That actually is an example of the trope, at the moment of impact; it's just a really, really bad picture, because even knowing what the character looks like, you have to stare at it and squint for a bit before you realize, "oh, she's headbutting the boulder!"

Toy Story would be perfect.

If someone can find a pic from Toy Story, I say change it. It isn't clear what's going on in the current picture.

Best I can find are ordinary headbutts. The Glasgow Kiss redirect ain't helping much since that's what a Glasgow Kiss is... and the character is Glaswegian.

Eh, that just shows violence IMO. I'm casting my vote for the scene from Toy Story 2 - it's clear they're going to use Rex as a battering ram, rather than it just being fairly generic fighty stuff.

But does anyone have a picture of that?

If the Toy Story image is too difficult to find, what about the headbutt Scott Pilgrim used against the vegan guy?

From the comic: link It's got a crease down the middle though.

^ I agree, I like the Toy Story 2 image idea as well:

"But I don't wanna use my head!"

We could also use this one:

Do we have a picture where Rex's head and what he's supposed to be rammed into are clearly visible in the same frame?

The two pictures above just look like the other character's are hauling Rex somewhere against his will. Mind you, that's exactly what they are doing, but that alone doesn't convey the actual trope we're supposed to be showcasing.

The Toy Story 2 scene is hard to get off You Tube. Appx. 1:20 in the official 2nd trailer, but it's moving so fast that the moment they bust the grate open just blurs.

Is this the only place available to us to pull screencaps from that scene? If so, then it doesn't look like any still images from there look like they can convey the trope as well as a lot of people here have been thinking.

The second one is a bit unnerving, but the first is pure lolz! [lol]

I rather like the Strontium Dog image, or the Scott Pilgrim one if we can find a creaseless version.

Bear in mind we want an image where it's obvious that the head is hitting something in order to do damage to it. The Toy Story picture is cluttered and requires you to know what's happening in the scene.

The Toy Story image is shitty. As stated above, it's unclear as to what's actually going on. And they are using him as a "human" battering ram against his will. I think that's another trope, or at least it should be.

The Strontium Dog image is great. It's a classic Glasgow Kiss, which is what the page should be called anyway. I'm a huge proponent and effective practitioner of the move in casual brawls, so I guess I'm biased.

How about the Zidane headbutt image?

^If we allowed animated .gifs on pages, that would be fitting. As a still image, Zidane hitting Materazzi's chest doesn't work as well on its own without showing additional frames of Materazzi's subsequent fall.

Animated gifs are strongly discouraged, to the point that only one page has a mod-approved animation on it.

I'm all for using a still of Zidane and then linking to the animation, though.

Personally, I'm generally supportive of linking images to other images only if the link is leading to a larger version of the same image on the page. Clicking on links to learn about context that isn't already present in a still image just doesn't sound right to me; and I already made a fuss about doing that when the True Art Is Incomprehensible image was briefly replaced with a .jpg still with a link to the original .gif.

I still don't see what's wrong with the Toy Story 2 pic. No, you can't see the grate and the head in the same image with decent quality, but in both presented pics above the general message is conveyed. In the first it's clear that Buzz is pushing him headfirst, which implies battering ram, and in the second you can, while not perfectly, see that there is SOMETHING up ahead resemblant of a wall, and given the position of the characters even someone holding an Idiot Ball can guess what's about to happen.

Of course, that also assumes that they haven't watched Toy Story, in which case shame on them (Kidding).

It's also not a matter of choosing something to match the action so much as it is channeling the image invoked by the Trope itself. Like with Oh, Crap!, that image of Quatro about to be owned from across the ship fits excellently, not just because whats happening therein is the trope, but because that's exactly the expression that comes to mind when someone mentions an Oh Crap Face. In that context, the Toy Story pic is perfect because when I first read the title Use Your Head, the first thing that always comes to mind is that scene.

The man who smiles when things go wrong has thought of somebody to blame for it.
