It's a very good question isn't it?
He must have had something to offer, but damned if I know what though.
Maybe training the future Shidos of Japan or something like that.
One Strip! One Strip!Haru's a student at Shujin.
Maybe there are several other students of similar family status to her there that we just didn't see?

I think it was stated Humpty Dumpty was a client of the mental shutdown service.

So, I'm a few years late, but I'm finally going to start watching the P4 Arena duology stories. I've rewatched Arena story for the past week, and man, Labrys' backstory is as sad as ever.
I'm going to start watching Ultimax story soon. Is it as much of a trainwreck as I've heard?
Alright, watched the first two chapters of episode P4. Feels weird they mentioned Marie all of a sudden, when she never got mentioned even once in Arena. In a similar line, they avoided spoiling the murder case as far as they can, but here they mentioned who the culprit is in the very first chapter...
Adachi has story relevance. Marie is just there wasting spcenas a Minor Land Goddess would.
There's some cut content about whatever she was doing and that involved a Shadow Marie, but it never appears or even has a model for fighting.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I mean, both of those things can be chalked up to release dates. Arena was released before Golden and Ultimax was released after. Meaning Marie was more relevant and the Culprit had become a sled considering his additional ending was a selling point.

That seems like a waste. You know, what with her being the guardian deity of Inaba and all. Although they said she's a minor goddess, so I guess it's confirmed she isn't the same as the Izanami of myth.
EDIT: Okay, watched up to chapter 6. I think I like this style of storytelling way better than Arena's "watch the same story 10 times" format.
Sho sounded...way less threatening than I imagined. He sounds like a little brat. Well, he is, but they could've made him sound scarier than that. Especially with how actually chilling the "Eerie Voice" was.
Meanwhile, Yukiko gets to show her Cloud Cuckoolander-ness full force. That was quite a Mood Whiplash after what happened to Yu's group. Her plan made me chucke a little, though.
Naoto's chapter 6 ended with "Sho" attacking her in surprise and about to kill her. Oh nooo. If only it was a cliffhanger that will be continued by someone saving her in the nick of time. But that couldn't possibly happen!.
Rise gets to Take a Level in Badass. The entire battle feels totally out of place, though. I mean, her idle animation s swaying back and forth, she fights with a microphone stand, and her attack animations are all comical. But the dialogue surrounding the fight is serious. As serious as it could be when Elizabeth is involved, anyway.

There's a reason Sho's like that. Don't worry, it'll be clear once you get to the endgame.
It's been 3000 years…I actually already spoiled myself on the outline of the plot, so I know about the double personality stuff.
Speaking of which, Sho is so totally an edgy tryhard teenager I both cringe and laugh at his dialogue. He's totally the kind of guy who sings Crawling in My Skin unironically.
And the rest of the Shadow Operatives! AKA the Persona 3 playable characters. Although apparently you don't grt to play as them in the P4 side other than Labrys? Also Junpei and Ken's faces look off.
Wow, seriously Yukari? She arrives with Ken, but he got to do a Big Damn Heroes while she suffered The Worf Effect? Step up. And uh, a girl talk right after the fight?
I like that they try to acknowledge Rise is a beginner at fighting, at the very least.
I'm at the part where Izanagi fuses with Magatsu-Izanagi. Oh god this is so hilariously cheesy.
EDIT: I just finished Episode P4. My assessment for the overall story is that it starts out great. The tension and threat is real. It gets kinda wonky in the end, though. Hi-no-Kagutsuchi is a terrible endgame villain. Seriously, a Generic Doomsday Villain who gloats about killing everyone?
Sho and Minazuki has some interesting concepts, but the execution's not really well done. I never felt like I know them as much as Labrys, the previous "baddie". Also, his voice is terrible. Maybe Episode P3 will focus on him more?
The end also feels a bit rushed? We follow different perspectives of the different members, but some of them just suddenly stops where they are and it's Yu's group all the way through. It kinda bothers me that the entire team never even met up until the very end. I was hoping for more interactions.
Anyway, watchimg episode Adachi next.

Both Episode P3 and Episode Adachi are better than Episode P4 in my opinion, just because it focuses on the everyday lives of the P3 crew past that game as well as Adachi's thought process, respectively.
It's been 3000 years…Labrys is also the MC and is unashamedly better at it than YU.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I sure expect so .
Someone here once said that he finds Yu boring, and I agree with that. He's more of a friendship-speech machine than a character.
I recall an issue with the 4-route is that the 4-guys go way to far with bonds & all that friendship nonsense.
Ironically all it does is just make me wanna be an antisocial prick than value my bonds & shit.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. What he should be saying is friendship is for annoying people.
Cause seriously they are a group of truly intrusive self-righteous bastards.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The P3 Side was also full of bonds and friendship. It just had more interesting take on the plot.
Every Persona game is about friendship being magic.
As for being self-righteous, that was P5.
The only time I liked Yu was in the Animation where he feels like a PC during a run where the player doesn't really care about his choices.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. How does anyone likeany of the PC's? To the extent they even have characters, they mostly exist just for self-insert purposes.
The only Persona MC who gets any love is P3 Fem MC because she's perky and upbeat and that is contrasteed with the antisocial human block of wood P3 Male MC.
I thought Joker had a huge fanbase as well, but just the game version because the anime version is bland bread.
It's been 3000 years…From what I’ve seen of P5, Joker seems to have a fair amount of personality in cutscenes and dialogue choices. And I’d argue that the morose nature of the P3 protagonist can be used to infer some things, particular when his backstory is taken into account.
In that regard, Yu might be the only one I’d call bland, perhaps due to his relatively mundane circumstances, though the anime does give him a bit of depth.

Oh God! Natural light!
I wonder what Kobayakawa's exact role in the conspiracy was. It's implied Shido had Akechi rummage around in the heads of prominent Tokyo citizens looking for blackmail material, which Shido then used to force them to serve him. I'd assume Kobayakawa was one of those, but what'd he need a school principal for?
