Ten bucks says the Season Pass will include at least one COFFIN-enabled plane. The FALKEN or the RAVEN are pretty much shoo-ins.
Season pass is suposed to be all fictional airplanes last I heard.
So my money is on the Falken/Raven... The Shinden II (Thing is insanely popular), and then the last one is up in the air.
Maybe the Nosferatu?
My bets have been
- FALKEN/RAVEN
- CFA-44 Nosferatu
- XFA-27
A lot of people have been clamoring for Fenrir or Delphinus, too.
Also, it's a damn travesty that the RAVEN isn't available in the base game.

Personally I'd bet on Raven, Shinden II, and Delphinus.
They seem to be trying to tie AC 3 in a lot with a reference to one of it's characters, emblems for all of it's factions, and the story starting to line up so I think one of the three will be a tie in and the Delphinus seems the most likely.

FALKEN/RAVEN should just be assumed, IMO. Frankly I think it should have been in the base game, but oh well.
Fenrir won’t even exist for another year after the Lighthouse War, though. X takes place in 2020 and the Fenrir is quite explicitly stated to have been made using data taken from the Gleipnir.

You guys might want to look up a game called Sky Rogue on Steam, or the Switch if you have it.
It basically takes the Ace Combat formula and applies it to a randomized set of sorties. Just like in a Rougelike you only have one life, but during each unsuccessful run you can collect technology, which can be used to unlock new jets, weapons and upgrades. The weaponry starts out rather grounded and basic, but near the end you'll be using macross missile-massacre-style missile pods, railguns, lasers, and even dual plasma cannons.
And since the graphics are extremely basic - it looks like one of those Sega CD old-school 3D games, or the original Star Fox - I'm pretty sure anybody here on TVT can run it.
The Falken, which you may reconize as the Raven this time around is a series staple
The XFA-27 is very pointy, but to be honest I dont see it returning myself
And while it has no chance to return, I would feel bad if I didn't bring up my favriote fictional plane in the series the YR-302... it is a mid level attacker that isn't really any thing special..... but it has 4 ENGINES, FOUR I just love it for its simplicity and.... well 4 fucking engines

I feel ripped off flying those planes based on real life models now those jets are sick looking.
Imagine doing the tunnel run in the unspeakable lardass that is the Fenrir. Like, say whatever else you want about it, but it's a big fucking bird.
.... If we get it, I totaly plan too.
I would love a title like Electrosphere. I had a blast playing the first one.
Who watches the watchmen?Fuck yeah, Not a Scratch GET
Now for all machine guns (gonna do it on normal mode)
And then the speedrun, which I'm like 80% sure I can pull off on hard.
Then after that, I'll start slogging through pulling off S ranks.
EDIT: And pulled off TDM MVP. EML on the Flanker-D is such an amazing combo. Also, you can nearly guarantee a free kill because most players start off going straight ahead... right into the path of my EML.
As an aside, the EML and TLS look much better on the Flankers than the American jets because of how they can be mounted right between the engines instead of hanging below.

Can I just say that I love that "Stonehenge Defensive" is exactly deep enough into the story that you can grab an Su-37 Terminator right as you start it, so as to maximize the Role Reversal of 04's "Stonehenge Offensive"?

Ok so I got the missile power upgrade for damage but I am still having to two shot every common fighter. What gives? I am playing on Normal difficulty if it matters. I am loving the Gripen's cruise missile for ground attack missions. Great range and great blast radius.
Who watches the watchmen?I'm kinda glad I didn't pre-order this one; the Steam reviews and /r/acecombat are rife with complaints about lack of general joystick/HOTAS support besides two very specific, cheaply-built models marketed more toward console owners of the game.
Needless to say, it's a deal-killer for a lot of PC gamers, albeit not quite Porting Disaster status since the game itself is still as playable as the console versions. Our standards are just higher to the point that not supporting non-16:9 aspect ratios and ridiculously high resolutions strikes us as developers not caring enough.
Yes, some might say that HOTAS is overkill, but I should mention that I actually do own the Hori Flightstick 2 setup bundled with AC5 back in the day. There's an established precedent (even farther back if you play AC2 or AC3 with the SCPH-1110 joystick), and a promised feature for the PC version that's been broken on release.
Hopefully, if it is indeed just a bug, they'll patch it soon enough.
Lv 1 Missile Power Up does absolutely nothing. It does not change how many missiles it takes to kill anything.
Naturally, the one that can actually make a difference is multiplayer-only because enforcing balanced play in single player is vastly more important than doing so in multiplayer.
Hopefully it is, because I'm hearing grumbling that even the officially endorsed joystick from Namco themselves has problems playing with AC 7. Can't imagine their PC compatibility team missing that issue so easily.
And yeesh, has the online community already turned brutal within so few days... got my ass handed to me HARD during one match in the Shinxi Mountains in a TDM match - so badly, that only two players managed to score anything at all while me and another guy got ZERO score.
Took me a bit before I realized there's a reason you don't want to jump into any match immediately; matches that lack a MRP limit on the planes mean that you can potentially wind up in some horribly unbalanced matches - think Mi G 29 and F-14 vs the F-15J and F-22 Raptor. No matter how many stunts and maneuvers I tried, I was constantly in missile lock and couldn't get those guys to stay still long enough to land a single missile or bullet.

The worst, though, are point-limited, no SP weapon matches. You bring metagaming min-maxed MiG-21s with overpowered MP-only missile buffs that turn regular missiles into DIY QAAMs, or you desperately try to keep up with the people who did.
From what it seems like, they included the stuff to work with controlers that use XInput.....
....
Which is sadly not most flight sticks.... they use the legacy system of DirectInput instead.
To what exactly was Project Aces attempting to achieve in terms of multiplayer balance, I have no idea. It's like a F 2 P game's system in complete reverse: the one mode you'd want to strictly limit and control happens to be the mode where you can equip almost any upgrade as you please, whereas the mode where players wouldn't mind bringing an absurdly over-powered super-fighter into battle (aka the campaign) is limited to campaign unlocks related to the fighter tech tree.
Multiplayer was a second thought in this sequel, wasn't it?
Maybe they still think Call Of Duty is the biggest game in the west and wanted to emulate it as much as possible.
They wouldn't be wrong sadly, even with its dwindling sales it still tops the chart, and gets more sales then its closest competitors combined.
Only thing that really competes is FIFA.
I have no idea, but TBH I think your right that they have multiplayer and campaign upgrades reversed.
Yeah multiplayer has gotten absurd since most people have gotten most of the upgrade parts; the only way to be competitive is either join the QAAM mob or get insanely good at EML sniping into the fuball.
Best ways I can see to fix it would be either what everyone else has suggested and flip part restrictions or expand the disable spacial weapons option to allow for specific weapons to be banned.
Personally I'd prefer both as getting spammed with unmodded QAA Ms from multiple sources still sucks pretty badly. Alternately allow all parts in both single and multi and add each part to the expanded ban option; would probably take more coding and new menus/room search critera than is feasible but gives the most options for players.
I’d like to get a proper electrosohere release outside of Japan before a sequel to it. Or better yet, with it.
