"Dr. Tenma: born into a long line of horseradish farmers, in the particularly unlucky year of the horse, in Gunma ("horse herd") prefecture. Real name is Taro Uma ("horse"). Graduated from the university of Nerima ("walking horse"), and though a complete dark horse, through an amazing demonstration of intellectual power rose to be the head of the ministry of science — in an area of Tokyo known as Takadanobaba, which loosely translates into a "high pasture for horses". Among those wishing to unseat him, he is known as a real horse of a different color."

Kratts Creatures is awesome.

It used to come on following either Bill Nye The Science Guy or Wishbone, can't remember which.

I remember that show! It was weird when how he fell in love with humans though...

It was also weird how he was the only dog musketeer.

It was also weird how he was the only dog musketeer.

This now my favourite sentence of all time.

On another note, I haven't read much JSA, but my reaction to what I have is this: screw Power Girl and her disturbingly large breasts (and that's "screw" as in "disregard", not as in "have sex with"), Cyclone is where it's at. Redheaded, genki, highly educated (Harvard, no less) and heroic. Definitely pushing a lot of my buttons.

I remember Wishbone! Man, I almost starting to think that was another twisted figment of my imagination.

Since we appear to be talking about old shows, does anyone remember this thing with these guys who were named after Greek philosophers or something playing number games in a floating building? Or something like that? My mind associates it with Wishbone, but I think it was actually the show that aired before or after it.

I guess it is.

Oh, hell's bells, I think I've gone and developed a crush on Spoony.

What? What? What.

I don't even play video games! Bad fangirl! Very bad fangirl!

It's the damn eyes! They're like a hokey 3D picture or something! Go look on the What Beautiful Eyes! page under Real Life if you don't believe me! Gah! It's like Linkara's April Fool's Watchmen review all over again! (Side-note to self: must add that link to aforementioned page.)

... you know, between TGWTG.com and the Photos thread over in Yack Fest, I really am starting to wonder how the hell anyone managed to convince normal people that geeks were ugly.

Made Of Meat's avatar as of this posting, which i'm assuming is Made Of Meat herself in some freakish clown costume.

Tenma is not funny looking.

Do we have a non-perverse sexual lust topic?

Clearly... I'm talking about non-fictional characters/real people.

If you're unlikely to ever meet them, I think it still counts as PSL.

By non-P SL, I meant Sexual Lust which isn't Perverse; i.e. feel free to derail a random thread. It seems to be the done thing around here.

@insofar: Look at the page picture of Expository Hairstyle Change. In the manga he was, but then went under some Adaptational Attractiveness.

what is this I don't even

Funny, I'm the one who made that picture.

Still, he gets a lot hotter even in the manga. This is a new low for me, calling a fucking 2D person hot. Kenji is hot, too

Non-PSL: I think Urasawa himself is adorable. And damn he looks good for a fifty-year-old.
