Pokemon had a bad track record with subplots, didn't it?
Wake me up at your own risk. He's only up to Bugsy's Gym, the second Gym? Man he has like 100+ Johto eps to go. He'll probably never be done with it.
It's kinda funny that Johto as a whole is 156 episodes, meaning it's a little shorter than AG/DP were but longer than BW, XY and SM...yet for some reason while watching it, it feels twice as long as any other saga. Probably due to the sheer mass of filler, and since Misty didn't have any real goal to follow they couldn't even break the screentime between Ash and his female companion like they do every other saga. Also Ash's Johto pokemon being undeveloped compared to his other teams didn't help either, aside from Bayleef I suppose.
Suede has confirmed that filler episodes will be tackled two at a time to keep things going, and plot relevant episodes like Gym Battles, Captures, and game plots will be singular.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Well that explain why he was only releasing things a weeks at a time for a while; I figured he just had real life obligations to attend to.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.If you want to know where Suede is right now, I'll tell right here.
He's just done with Vulpix's departure episode scripting. Yup, Johto Journeys was pretty much done and Johto League Champions is in process. And a heads up, he's preparing to do Pokémon 2000 soon.
- WARNING, SPOILERS FOR NEXT EPISODE BELOW.
....So, Goh caught a Suicune. Awesome! And now I'm already seeing complaints.
Judging by the events that transpired, I'm guessing these poachers were hunting it down for so long that it would eventually tire out. Which to me makes sense, if Nightcrawler was being hunted down for an entire day without rest and needed to teleport across the entire globe with no energy or rest, and then got knocked out without warning by someone he didn't know was actually his enemy? Yeah I can totally buy that.
His goal is to catch every Pokemon so far hell it's in the opening, so I feel people need to chill the hell down.
Like seriously. Even Ash has caught a hell of a lot more Pokemon since journeying with Gou.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.First up, Citation Needed. And, even if true, I wouldn't rule out Superdickery. Specifically: that Goh made a temporary capture to get the Legendary to Cherry Blossom Labs and that there will be an episode where said Legendary is released later.
Even without viewing the comments, I'd imagine that the outrage is due to the old canardnote of Legendaries being critical to the biosphere or some such Green Aesop. As a counter to that, we've had multiple Lugia before, so why not multiples of each Gerbil that is nominally subject to Lugia's nominal equivalent, Ho-oh? Side Note: Why haven't we had Regional Forms for Raikou, Entei, and Suicune based off of 3 of the remaining 5 Eeveelutions? Of course, we just got Regionals of the Birbs, so maybe we'll get Gen 2 Regionals in Gen 9.
But, yeah, Goh's goal was controversial from the get go and this is a potential step towards it. I guess everyone was expecting a Downplayed/Heroic version of what Shudo wanted to do with Ash: Let Goh drive himself partly mad on his quest until he realizes the costs involved with capturing 150+ species. At which point, he "settles down" from his "childish dream". The difference is that, rather than quitting Pokemon like Shudo would have Ash do, Goh would either continue as an Assistant in the Cherry Blossom Labs or go on his own world-spanning adventure. (Taking the camera with him?) Not to say that that can't happen even with these events, but said event still demonstrates two closely-related dichotomies: The Shudo era to the Post-Kalos era and Post-Kalos!Ash to Goh.
Ketchum's corollary to Clarke's Third Law: Any sufficiently advanced tactic is indistinguishable from blind luck.My only complaint is while wanting to be a living Poke Dex is fine, it’s way too early to be catching Legendaries.
It's been 3000 years…Please tell me he used something besides a regular Poke Ball...
The Protomen enhanced my life.haha nope
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. The next episode preview scene is also framed as Suicune likely going in a normal ball willingly to escape the poachers.

Ash had Melmetal in Sun and Moon.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. There was also Brandon with alll the regis, an earlier Frontier Brain (forgot his name) with Articuno, that asshole Tobias with Darkrai and Latios.
They've kinda been moving away from the Legendaries too awesome for humans to train attitude.
One Strip! One Strip!Noland didn't capture Articuno, he befriended it.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru! Is Meltan/Melmetal treated as a Legendary? Also, Tobias and Brandon were and srill are kinda outliers especially considering we knew nothing about Tobias.
‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’Yes. Specifically a mythical like Arceus, Mew, Darkai, Victini, etc.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I think Meltan and Melmetal are supposed to be Mythicals.
Mythicals are a sub-category of Legendaries.
There's also Gladion and Silvally.
