This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

I would like to edit again, but what should i have to avoid?
- Deconstruction: Of fairy tales, specifically the homogenized children's versions. The original versions are pretty dark but don't have any Where Are They Now scenes.
- Deconstruction Crossover: The play combines no less than five seven if one counts Snow White and Sleeping Beauty fairy tales with some characters fitting into other roles, like the Baker saving Red and her granny, but at the same time, their interactions help pint out the issues the original characters must go through and the consequences their choices brought.
- Exact Words: The Baker needs to find "Hair as yellow as corn." Nothing says that the hair cannot come from an actual ear of corn.
Playing a Tree:
- Since the 2002 revival, Milky White has been played by a live actor in many productions. The results range from Tear Jerker to Funny Moment.
- In both of the outdoor productions, the magical harp that Jack steals from the Giant is portrayed as a sexy woman with a harp on her back. This gives Jack's line ("Mother, look! The most beautiful harp!") an entirely new meaning.
So here's my attempt at attempting to properly edit.
I've been wasting my time for nearly 3 months, I have a life too outside this place. I'm not even sure it's worth trying anymore. Should I just post my ideas here and have someone else post them for me?
My suspension is still not lifted yet so I can’t do any indexing yet. If I index a film saying “American Films” or “Films in the 2020s”, do I type it on the top or bottom?

- The doctor shows three types of food: smothered pork chops, smothered chicken fried bacon, and smothered chicken fried bananas.
When I first wrote the three foods part, that’s where the mistake was made about indentation being on the same level. It’s currently fixed.
Am I missing anything?

~Orror SANESS We already told you that we were tabling your appeal until you felt that you had a better grasp of ZCE and example indentation. That doesn't mean that you can post the same examples again the next day.
You were already told to stop throwing things at the wall until something sticks. Please take at least a month to review Zero-Context Example and Example Indentation in Trope Lists policies in these two threads before coming back here to appeal again.

I've been suspended, most likely for my use of first person writing on headscracthers pages, especially RWBY's . I was under the impression that it was largely okay on headscratchers pages so long as the points made were still about the work, not personal opinions, but I accept my mistake and will refrain from writing that way in the future.
Another possible reason is the troper suspended me, Wyldchyld, believing one of my posts on RWBY's Headscratcher page, was just talking about what other Fandom wikis were saying, and thus I was misusing the page.
- I looked on Rhodes wiki page, which says that Word of God (Eddy Rivas, the "lorekeeper" and writer supervisor) says that Rhodes was unaware of the situation Cinder was truly in, and says that Rhodes holds some of the blame for how Cinder turned out. I don't have the quote, but I'd assume that to mean Rhodes was aware of the verbal abuse and tough labor but not the shock collar... but how could it never have come up in the years they trained together? and why then did he have no evident reaction to seeing it used on Cinder as she killed Madame?

Hello, I just got suspended for edit warring.
Approximately two years ago I added headers on the Recap page for RWBY splitting each of the volumes into their respective arcs. Two days ago, I had noticed that someone had changed three of the header names without giving an edit reason and I reverted them back to what they were originally as those were the names that were being used for those arcs on every other page, though I admittedly did so without giving an edit reason which I probably should have included in the first place.
Earlier today I saw that that same person had changed two of the headers yet again, once again without an edit reason. Not wanting to repeat the same mistake as last time and to keep the situation from escalating any further, I reverted them back once again, this time with an edit reason.
If that user did decide to change the headers again anyway despite my edit reason I intended to bring this situation to Ask the Tropers, though as I am now aware, someone else already did and now we're both suspended.
I apologise for not including an edit reason in my initial revert as well as for not bringing this to Ask the Tropers sooner, I promise that this will not happen again.
I got suspended, but I don’t know why, I guess maybe it’s because I changed the RWBY story arc names without a reason. If that’s the reason I do apologize and I will add edit reasons for major edits from now on.

I appear to have been suspended from editing pages for a reason I don't exactly know (since my latest edits before my suspension don't seem to have been undone). Can I ask exactly what so I can make sure I don't do it again when my suspension is declared complete?

Let me try:
- AC/DC has cannons.
- Previously seen in Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. It's even listed on the tab.
- "Wellington's Victory," one of Ludwig van Beethoven's least-known orchestral works, which calls for cannon shots and musket fire from two sides.
- This is common on YouTube, with tunes made from floppy disk or scanner sounds. Really just about any kind of machine or device can be used as a musical instrument with some imagination and a little bit of work.
- Particularly notable is this cover of Radiohead's Nude, performed by a ZX Sinclair, a dot-matrix printer, a scanner, and an array of hard disks used as speakers.
- Or this version of Bohemian Rhapsody.
- Numerous videos have been made featuring antique hit/miss engines standing in as automated drum machines.
- Then there's the accidental music. Someone decided that this engine had an exhaust note like an automated digeridoo.
- Josef Pujol performed under the stage name "Le Petomane" at the Moulin Rouge in the 1890s. The name means essentially "The Farting Maniac", and that's exactly what he did. From The Other Wiki:
- Some of the highlights of [Pujol's] stage act involved sound effects of cannon fire and thunderstorms, as well as playing 'O Sole Mio' and 'La Marseillaise' on an ocarina through a rubber tube in his anus.
- According to The Other Wiki, flatulism dates back to at least the 12th century, when it was performed in Irish banqueting halls.
- And when it comes to contemporary flatulism, Ladies and gentlemen, I direct you to the one, the only, Mr. Methane!
