64/100 - Sits somewhere between anime opening j-rock and slightly less anime opening prog/power, utilizing the understated parts of the former to build up to lead playing and energy of the latter. Satisfactory though it doesn't rock or prog hard enough to deliver on its aesthetic.
Sorry, I don't have Spotify.
8/10. Still a pretty catchy song with really great lyrics. Great post.

Oh, good, it's on Deezer! So, the song is a neat illustration of the phrase "A whole is more than a sum of its parts": the riffing, the drumwork and the violin section, while competently played is rather generic and unimaginative. Yet, the song has enough flow and dynamicity for it not to be an issue, 4/5.
Oddly subdued yet at the same time has mischievous vibes to it, 4/5.
note This feels very ... tame for a Death Metal song. While I like the melodicity, in some parts the song feels downright Pop-y, and it seems that the band had no actual idea how to end this track, 3/5.

Spiral out, keep going.A pretty if slightly forgettable song with some decent guitar work. 6.5/10.

I decided to leave this track running in the background while I did something else, and honestly, that feels like the context it was meant for. I'm aware extended noodling is what Phish do, and they do it well, but I'd hardly consider this something I'd return to with any frequency. Nonetheless, it's succeeded at being what it aims to be, and I suppose that's all you can ask for. 7/10
Fela Kuti - Sorrow, Tears and Blood
be nice to benjamin it's not his fault he got beat up by a microbe10/10. Thank you for this. I have been meaning to become familiar with Fela Kuti's work for MONTHS now. Thank You. Truly.
7/10 Above average ambient pop. The composition and singing are very calm and relaxing, but the lyrics are hard to discern.
5/10. Although I like anime opener songs. I am afraid I have listened to too many for this song to have made an impact.
Explores its singular folk-ish (African? Carribean? Tropical?) theme far, deep and wide enough to not feel repetitive, 4/5.

Spiral out, keep going.7.5/10. A pretty good song with some nice guitar playing
Frank Zappa - Blessed Relief
70/100 - Pleasant and lengthy jazz number with excellent saxophone playing more straightforward than is usually the norm and excellently understated yet fulfilling keyboards backing it up. It can feel somewhat amorphous however; it works well as background music but not something to actively pay attention to.
5.5/10. The song wasn't bad. It did get slightly better towards the end but I honestly have no desire to go back to listen. I didn't really feel anything listen to most of it and I found the vocalist to be pretty boring.

The production here screams "mainstream", the song starts with the most generic heavy metal section you'd ever encounter, but in the second third it starts developing an identity of its own. Nevertheless, it does a poor job of it: despite the presence of admittedly impressive Middle Eastern-flavored riffs, the song feels disjointed in its mishmash of styles and rather awkward composition, 2/5.

Spiral out, keep going.9/10. If God of metal music exists, this will be the song for its prayer.
6/10. It's okay but I probably won't come back to it. I feel like the music doesn't change much throughout the song. Also, the vocals could be better.
7.5-8/10. Not what I normally listen to, but this was pleasant. I like the instrumentation and her vocals are nice to listen to.

9.5/10. The lyrics are incredibly uncomfortable to listen to. Which goes together perfectly with the claustrophobic, ready-to-burst nature of the song.
4.5/10 I'm going to charitably call that a nice bassline. I just don't like the singing style.

Joke? Why are you calling it a joke? You drew a picture of two dudes hugging and wrote "I love hugs!" on it.8.5/10. Folky-sort of blues rock with a slight psychedelic tinge. Love it.
One of the punk explosion's most delightfully bizarre entities takes on Ricky Nelson's sappy pop-country ballad, and... is it weird if I wish they'd fucked this up more than they did? The Cramps specialised in taking the 1950s rockabilly sound and turning it into a mutilated, savage horror movie version of itself, so I was expecting something like what the Dead Kennedys did to "Viva Las Vegas", transforming something inoffensive into a rollicking thunderstorm of raunchy energy in a way that's both hilarious and cathartic. Instead, their cover hews surprisingly close to the original tonally, despite the eerie warbling guitar part making proceedings seem distinctly wrong in that musical Uncanny Valley way. It's a nice enough subtle perversion, but... I wanted fucking crazy. Where's my fucking crazy? 7/10
be nice to benjamin it's not his fault he got beat up by a microbe7.8/10. Cerebral Dark Wave sound to what appears to be a Spoken Word poem about failed relationship. Not bad.
please don't hurt me I have your fucking crazy right here, sir:
Mostly an extended jam session with the vocalist losing his shit in-between energetic sections over repetitive rhythm section, 3/5.
The Cracow Klezmer Band - Sher
Spiral out, keep going.9/10. Very strong ethnic vibes yet feels very modern.

8/10. It feels very urban, yet still recognizably folk. The composition is quite spotty in a few moments, though.
