[up][up] I half expected that to lead to a rickroll... Who is Luna Snow?

[up] That remake's full of such neat little extras.

Speaking of Punch-Out, I randomly remembered this hilarious tutorial video from 2008 on how to beat Soda Popinski in the NES version that uses stuff from Back to the Future and Eye of the Tiger.

[up][up]Luna Snow is a Korean Popstar with ice powers created by Marvel for the mobile game Marvel Future Fight before she became Canon in the Marvel Comics.

Anyway, here's the official trailer for that new Overwatch-like game, Marvel Rivals.

Yeah I realized after I was actually familiar with her, she was in Agents of Atlas. Good stuff.

Contra is so good ya'll.

I was hesitant to get Contra: Operation Galuga for some reason but it's so good.

I finally, after actual decades, got a english version of Contra: Hard Corps to play with the three hit points and it's so damn good.

I love Contra.

Anyone got any favorite video game commercials? The Bomberman 64 one singlehandedly convinced lil me to get the game.

This post-Christmas N64 commercial was really memorable too...

And this hilarious commercial for Donkey Kong for Atari.

And this Mario Bros. commercial had Luigi's first role in a commercial!

It's not a particularly special commercial, but this commercial for the first Kingdom Hearts game always had a bit of a soft spot in my heart, since it's the first commercial for the franchise I had ever seen.

It does, sadly, make me feel a bit melancholic after seeing how many years have passed since the first game came out.

[up] I remember that! I feel like I saw it on VHS somehow. Maybe I had recorded something and the commercial was part of it.

I was really invested in the visiting Disney worlds part of the game.

I'm loving all these commercials! But I sadly don't remember any except the Bomberman 64 and Kingdom Hearts ones.

Oh yeah, there's this series:

Yup, in the style of a reality show!

I like the commercials for Punch-Out!! Wii. In fact, they might be one of, if not, my favorite video game commercials of all time.

Help me. I can't get it out of my head.

I guess the reason we don't get much unique commercials for video games nowadays is because social media is quicker and cheaper.

I GUESS I could get the Resident Evil 4 remake this year on PS4, assuming the game still has “assist mode”. The difference being that there isn’t any “infinite ammo” that can be unlocked with IRL money like in 2 and 3, and I’ll most likely die against the first enemy.

My favorite has to be this Legend of Zelda ad featuring Robin Williams and his daughter Zelda Williams.

One of the first video game commercials I ever saw was for Kirby's Dream Land 2, and it had some major American Kirby Is Hardcore vibes to it. This was my introduction to Kirby, so little me was a little confused when Kirby didn't look quite as mean on the boxart.

"Play It Loud."

That famously stupid slogan. Because the music of games of that era is what people would want to play loud.

I tell you, Nintendo of America succeeded back then despite their advertising!

Uh. That's... Not what it meant. It was a direct response to Sega's famously effective "Cool" advertising campaigns that jumped off sonic's Mascot with Attitude. They weren't literally telling you to play the game's sound loud.

Remember when the Sega Genesis's slogan was "Genesis Does What Nintendon't?" Guess after the Dreamcast, the slogan became "Genesis Did What Nintencouldn't."

...yeah, that sounded funnier in my head.

I know it didn't literally say to play the games loud, but what does that slogan sound like? It's just a dumb slogan, I think.
