I was trying to see if there were any places where one could simply download the MK Vs of Frenchy Anon's translations, but whenever someone puts them in a permanent location, Ankama is pretty quick to C&D them.

Oh damn', I was working on a Abridged Series too... Since January, in fact, but I had to wait to make it, lacking a microphone and stuff like this. And now, I come here and see that there's another one in the works! sad

Well, I hope this won't create too much interference between our works.

You could try collaborating.

Totally. I'm actually completely uninterested in the video editing side of things. So if you want me to do most of the heavy-lifting in terms of voice acting that's fine by me.

Heh, I'm not really into editing either. I'm competent at it, but what I really like is scripting and voice acting. Plus, I found that a collaboration moves slower than a personnal project, and I've wasted enough time already!

But, considering the Loads And Loads Of Characters involved, maybe I'll need help on voice acting. I'll contact you if needed. Good luck otherwise! ;)

"Nox didn't have a road paved with good intentions as much as he had a slide greased with them."

I'm undecided on if this quote is accurate or not.

Real or not, that should totally be the page quote for Well-Intentioned Extremist.

According to the page, there are dubs. Has anyone seen them?

The first two dubbed episodes are on youtube. The voices vary from somewhat okay (Yugo) to terrible (Sadlygrove).

I don't really understand all the fandom rage at Dudelygrove. It strikes me as a legitimate take on the character. Yes, it's very different from the Manic grammatical train wreck that is the French Sadlygrove but I'm not convinced it's an overall negative.

Probably because the english Grovy is really, really nasally. :|

I saw that, the voices were fairly okay, but Nox's was just awful. It would have been acceptable if he was just a ominicidal Large Ham, but not for our Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds.

That dub was supposedly just a placeholder, anyways.

What exactly do you mean by " Manic grammatical train wreck"?

From what I've seen of the cast lineup, there's no Sacrier's Blood characters. LAME!!!

@Latia. It could be the fansubs I've got, but Sadlygrove is depicted as always fucking up his grammar because he's talking too fast and Eva is constantly correcting him.

^...that's oddly endearing. If they do a for-real's dub in English I hope they keep that.

Oh, and someone clarified that the dub they were talking about was the German dub. Which is a really good sign, if they're dubbing it for other countries, they'll probably eventually do a full Englsh dub! -cross fingers-

Come on, English dub on Cartoon Network. With Grey DeLisle as Eva.

@Latia. Specifically, he gets the gender of his nouns wrong pretty much all the time. This is depicted in the fansubs as awful grammar.

I'm think this is the best place to discuss this... is Nox an unusually sympathetic Chaotic Evil?

Nox is perhaps one of the first villains where I've ever gone "Hey, maybe we should just step out of his way and let him do his thing?".

Mind you, in the end, Grougal was (sorta) right and Nox was (very) wrong. It's tempting to say that it was pointless for the Five-Man Band to resist him, but I'm pretty sure if they hadn't, he would have just gone on a psychotic homicidal rampage in his clockwork tank For the Evulz. As it was, their main achievement was giving Yugo and Adamai a chance to wreck his shit.

Not just a rampage, he would have just gone about killing everything in sight, thinking he couldreverse it all until he decided he had enough Wakfu, only to travel, like, an hour back.

This is a weird case in that the heroes manage to stop the bad guy by pure chance. By failing, they succeded. And were unable to save a team member and god-knows how many people in 200 years of well intentioned extremism. Some kids show.

@Korgmeister "...he would have just gone on a psychotic homicidal rampage in his clockwork tank For The Evulz." That's horrifying. And something I would like to see, paradoxically.

@ozaiangels Add Mark Hamill as Nox and you'll have a thing of beauty.

I've just saw that ont the french community: Wakfu, the MMOG, will be released in the USA, and distributed by Square Enix. And as for the series, the first episodes should follow shortly. Must be a good news for all the fans! :)

I'm kind of hoping they add an Ecaflip as a permanent member of the cast for season 2.

It'd be fun if the Ecaflip was a dude, though. Catgirls have kinda been done to death.

I seriously wanna see a Pandawa, male or female. Ninja pandas that fight by getting plastered and setting themselves on fire? Sign me up!

A girl Iop would be cool too, as we've seens a lot of guy Iops. It would be like a Valley Girl with the bloodlust of a grizzly.

^^^ Did I mention, HELL YES.
