Send back to the TLP you mean, haha. I think I made that mistake before.
Anyways, I am good with renaming (if there's good name suggestions) and sending this trope back to the TLP for example gathering.

Macron's notesIt says "A Snowball Lie may be involved", but is it meaningfully different?
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupThat's a good point. It's a subtrope of Snowball Lie at the least, in my eyes.
Vehicle-Based Characterization | Grief-Induced Split | Locker MailIt's technically thriving, so let's rename and do an example drive on TLP (without cutting the page).
Edit: Actually, I think we can just merge this with Snowball Lie.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I think it stands enough on its own to be a subtrope. But we'd need a crowner to truly decide.
For every low there is a high.Renaming.
There are exactly 10 works that link back to this article. That is terrible for a page that has 23 on-page examples and has been around for over a decade.
I'm fine with cutting the page and merging the contents with Snowball Lie. Anyone who wants to TLP a subtrope from there is welcome to try, but the name isn't even good enough for inbounds.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Merge with Snowball Lie.
Merge away!
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportWe could Yard the original concept if anyone wants to start over, but as crazysamaritan pointed out, the amount of wicks is deceptive when you see how many of them are actually on work pages instead of other types of pages.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. To me this trope feels like Lying to Protect Your Feelings crossing over into Snowball Lie. Which would make for a notable subtrope of both. I'd rather push this back to TLP than doing a straight-up merge into Snowball Lie.
Hooked a crowner.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I think this can now be called.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallCalling in favor of merging Dug in Deeper with Snowball Lie.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Dug in Deeper's grave has been dug and covered in snow, so locking up.

Crown Description:
Dug In Deeper, while not technically wick-starved, only has 13 wicks on work pages, and there are concerns that it's redundant with other tropes, such as Snowball Lie. What should be done with it? Note that none of the options for cutting or merging preclude sending the original idea to the Trope Idea Salvage Yard.
Dug in Deeper was launched in 2009. It concerns "pretending someone's good at something even though they aren't due to not wanting to hurt their feelings, except oops now they think they're good at it" which is definitely A Thing, but the trope's non-descript name isn't doing it any favors. What hurts it more is its similarity to Digging Yourself Deeper, a trope launched half a year later that now has about 1.8k wicks. The latter is named after its real-life term, which benefits it.
Dug in Deeper has 25 wicks, of which 13 are work examples. All Main/ pages are in descriptions or indices. As for on-pagers, there are 23 entries soft-split between singing and non-singing examples.
My proposal is to rename the trope to something more indicative, then crosswick everything and hope it grows naturally from there. If it can be sent back to TLP for more examples, that would be beneficial.
Edit: TRS > TLP. Massive facepalm, thanks Mac.
