See Sandbox.Web Original Wick Sorting for progress
The WebOriginal/ namespace (currently at arond 400 pages) has frequently been misused as a catch-all for any internet works, even when the work in question should probably go on other categories, such as Blog/, Fanfic/, Literature/ (in the case of Web Serial Novels), Roleplay/, WebAnimation/, Webcomic/, Website/ or WebVideo/.
Therefore, this project is dedicated to sorting or moving these works to their correct namespaces. Due to the obscurity of a large part of these works, a lot of these pages tend to also be low-quality (zero-context examples, poor grammar, red links, no crosswicking or indexing, Auto-Erotic Troping...) so general cleanup for these pages can also be discussed here.
(Note that the namespace isn't completely redundant, as a lot of works such as Creepypasta or Original Character Tournaments don't really fit any of the above namespaces.)

I already moved it myself, but thanks.
HqamiliciousThanks for moving all the wicks too.
I guess we can keep Blog/ as a redirect.
I'd like to apologize for all this.Oh also, the wicks on WebOriginal.Hamsters Paradise needs its wicks moved.

I'd like to apologize for all this.Done.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite. This exists, nice.
I would like to add WebOriginal. How Its Actually Made here. How it's been on the Web Original space has been bothering me for a while, it is entirely Web Video.
Not even stars last forever.I'll send a request.
I'd like to apologize for all this.Web Original Wick Sorting lists WebOriginal.Fluffy Pony under "Can be moved to a current namespace": "Fanfic/", but I'm not sure that's right. From the work page:
There's no fanfic titled "Fluffy Pony", and there's no requirement that "Fluffy Pony" works be in a particular medium. They can be text stories, comics, art... the examples even mention video games.
It looks like this is a case where Web Original/ is the best option.

I'll move it to the No Current namespace section then.
How do guys want to sort WebOriginal.Abandoned By Disney?
It started as an online written work
So...Literature/ maybe?

Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectI agree with Literature/ like most other creepypasta.
...speaking of which I brought up Jeff The Killer some time back but I haven't moved it yet cuz I wanted to clean up that page 😅 my bad, I got really sidetracked. I'm a bit stumped figuring out how to make the description less complainy. (Plus, the trope examples tell more about the story while the description seems to be more focused on the (in)famous image itself. Hmm.)
Then again, cleaning them up prior to the namespace move isn't inherently necessary (but it would be nice). Since I brought it up back then (with 2 other creepypastas) I'll hopefully handle those soon, like by the end of the week.

Creepypasta cleanup got two major pages for JTK and SlenderYeah Jeff The Killer is Literature/ for sure.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectWebOriginal.A Bright Flash looks easy to move but has one thing I'm concerned with.
The reveal/twist the of the story is that The Narrator is in fact Gojira.
So that should put it easily into Fanfic/
But using that namespace kinda diminishes the surprise reveal doesn't it?

Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectWell, it's in Fanworks.Godzilla so I say Fanfic/.
Creepypasta cleanup got two major pages for JTK and SlenderI'd previously wrestled with the concept of "the fact it's a fanfic is a twist", and I think Literature/ works better despite the surprise source material being under copyright.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Idk, the Godzilla reveal recontextualizes the entire story, so it feels like a fanfic after you know the twist.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectWebOriginal.Captains Log is written as a series of log entries. Literature/ definitely works for me, what do you think?
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectI say yes on the basis that other pages about stories on Bogleech are in Literature/.
Creepypasta cleanup got two major pages for JTK and SlenderWebOriginal. The Carn Evil Cult was written on 4chan
Maybe Literature/? But I'm not sure.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectIt says it's a creepypasta, so probably, yes.
I'd like to apologize for all this.OK
Honestly, so that this doesn't get repetitive, do Creepypastas (that aren't based on pre-existing IP) generally go on Literature/?

Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectI would say yeah, but maybe Word of Mod would be good.
I'd like to apologize for all this.WebOriginal.Suicide Mouse definitely fits Fanfic/ the best. It's based on an existing IP (Mickey) and the OG story is the source of most of the content.
There are the recreation videos and those are important to this Creepypasta, but I consider them more fan vids or if you treat the OG story like a short story, the recreations are "adaptations", the page itself refers to them as such.

Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectSquidward's Suicide is in Fanfic/ and it's the same category.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupWhat do you guys think should be done with Original Character Tournaments (OCT)?
Like:
- WebOriginal.Burning Avalon
- WebOriginal.Chernobyl Curs
- WebOriginal.The Publisher OCT
- WebOriginal.Zombie Spree Oct
Are these tropeworthy? The sorting page seems to suggest Roleplay/, but idk.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectWe have an entire index for it, but this may need a closer look (own thread?).
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup
You can use the Requesting for page moves thread to ask a mod to move it for you (edit history for the page is saved this way), just say to move Blog.Looming Gaia to Literature.Looming Gaia. (edit: mispell)
