Image was added by ~Space KABOOM way back in 2017, less than a year after the previous thread. Amazed no one brought it here or even removed the admonition not to add an image in that time. Someone even changed the caption a little less than a year ago.
Yeah, I'm the one who added that image.
The reason I picked it was that lots of fighting games by SNK had strange English translation, and that intro from Samurai Shodown II is one of the best known ones. There's something inherently funny about it, especially when presented without context, and it's immortalized as a meme for SNK fans. SSII got released in 2018 for Hamster's Arcade Archives after I posted that, and at least one reviewer also found it pretty funny.
I agree about the readability issue and am open to change.

Pretty sure “jack in” is an established term in MMBN. There’s nothing wrong with this translation. Honestly, I think the current is fine and can read the text.

Yeah, the translation in 7 isn't inaccurate or grammatically incorrect. Though it would be good for Funny.Mega Man Battle Network, which is currently imageless.

Current beats Suggestion, as Suggestion , as "jack in" is slang/a game feature in the MMBN games, seems more lime Accidental Innuendo than Good Bad Translation (although agreed in that it can go on the funny page for the work).

Current beats suggestion; I'd been about to say that the improvement in legibility doesn't make up for how much better the eccentric grammar demonstrates the trope compared to what could just be slang or jargon, and finding out that it actually is slang or jargon just reinforces the point. :P

It's late and I need to go to bed so I can't dig through the history (on my phone so no CTRL + F), but somebody added an image without coming here. I don't think current is that bad, but the pure white text against the detailed background makes it a tad too hard to read.
I wanted to suggest some hilarious lines from Mega Man Battle Network 4: Red Sun and Blue Moon (the game's entire translation is a train wreck), but my Google Fu is failing me
