The Kane Pixels Backrooms series has seen a new installment, and only further validates the Half-Life vibes I was getting, diverging from standard Analog Horror slightly in the process:
I've watched a few analog horror stuff recently. One thing I wish more creators would do: don't have the music cut out when the creepy text starts popping up.
One of my favorite videos in analog horror is still the "Contingency" video by LOCAL58. I love how all the horror is delivered via the written text without having to rely on jumpscares.
Do we have a trope for Patriotic Fervor as it pertains to horror? Because that would be a prime example.

The Obsidian Archives have a few Analog Horrors. This one is especially unnerving. It is called Tape 47.
Didn't really want to necropost, but this was the only analog horror thread I could find.
I've been getting into The Noedolekcin Archives ever since I saw it's page on this place. Seismo now has a full compilation of the first 10 episodes for anyone who wants to binge.
Anything that really breaks the mold?
Proud member of the IAA What's the point of being grown up if you can't act childish?Angel Hare is probably one of the more unique forms of analog horror I've ever seen, especially since the supernatural entity turns out to be more benevolent than the usual fare you see in analog horror.
The few bits of analog horror I've seen had the same problem of too much buildup for half a second of nothing, or trying to convince me this ordinary thing is actually really scary.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.
We didn't seem to have a thread for this, if my looking back 6+ pages is any indication, so here it is.
Given how prominent some of them have become as of late, you probably already know what Analog Horror is all about, but the gist is that it's a subgenre of Found Footage generally centered around fictional television broadcasts or tapes that have been uploaded to the internet. This can range anywhere from hypothetical EAS scenarios (from which the genre initially spawned) to fully-fledged series with their own stories and established lore, like Gemini Home Entertainment, LOCAL58, and THE MONUMENT MYTHOS.
On that note, I present to you the latest in the Kane Pixels Backrooms series
I highlight this series specifically because not only does it display tropes common in the genre (implied Apocalyptic Log made to appear as if it were recorded to tape), but because it's pretty good in its own right, breathing life into what has arguably become a fairly trite creepypasta subject, feeling very Half-Life for framing it as scientific endeavor gone wrong, and in the process becoming one of the few instances where explaining the spooky thing improves it.
