So, I was thinking that the opening to WhatAnIdiot.My Brave Pony Starfleet Magic should be revised to make it sound less like complaining. Here is what it currently looks like:

So, uh, bit of a necro but if we want to tackle other works, I noticed a few issues while browsing the Friendship is Failure pages. This example, for instance, on Characters.Friendship Is Failure, Talon Ted's folder:

• Cut Lex Luthor a Check: Never thinks to use his welfare payments to set up his own acting agency.

Like... this reads like serious fridge. People can't just set up their own acting agencies and expect to get somewhere, especially on what seems to be a pretty low amount of money. Even if it's not, it's a pretty big leap to suggest "just make your own company" if someone can't get a job.

Additionally, the examples have the same issue we had with Starfleet: they inject audience reactions instead of just describing how the characters are portrayed. These characters are not meant to be seen as jerks and hypocrites.

Agreed, that's a valueless entry.

I agree that it's more so Fridge Logic (if that's the right way to describe it).

I'll cut that one.

It will take some time to compile all of the obvious "this character sucks so we're giving them negative tropes" examples on that character page; may have to go one folder at a time. (Some folders meanwhile are fully blank and should be hidden)
