One could interpret Raven Beak's obsession with galactic conquest as some twisted attempt to leave a lasting legacy behind in lieu of siring a new generation. It's a dark reflection of Old Bird and Gray Voice and their fellow Zebes Chozo entrusting Samus Aran with their legacy. Especially since it's been revealed that Raven Beak donated his Mawkin genes to her.
Heck, maybe that's why he originally agreed to do it in the first place. Before he saw Samus as a potential tool for conquest, he saw her as a means of leaving a legacy behind.
Which makes it rather fitting that he's ultimately killed in such a final manner that there will be no trace of him left to bother Samus again. With the Final Death of Raven Beak, the only remaining proof that the Mawkin ever existed is Samus herself.

Disgusted, but not surprisedOr maybe they were all gay if all the R34 pics I seen of them so far are to be believed.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Yeah, I speculated that Raven Beak was obsessed with his legacy like the Chozo and saw peace through Galactic conquest as his choice in contrast to Old Bird establishing Galactic democracy.
As for him donating DNA to Samus, I did get the vibe that while he mostly did it on a whim, he was interested in her potential should she grow to be a warrior, and kept tabs on her progress.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Perhaps male and female chozo look pretty much identical to humans. That's the case with plenty of real life bird species.
The Chozo probably matured past any hangups they may have once held concerning sexuality. The specter of inevitable extinction does put things into perspective.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI mean there's nothing saying Quiet Robe was male. For the record I consider that an Ironic Name since they're one of the most talkative characters in the franchise.
Samus was indeed raised by gay space birds though, that's canon.
Bleye knows Sabers. My girlfriend just had an Alternative Character Interpretation theory for the X in Fusion based on Dread. Figured it'd be interesting for discussion.
So, QR-X either retains Quiet Robe's benign nature or (for survival) was able to assess that the X of ZDR posed no chance of surviving so it would best live on as part of a Metroid's makeup. But in the former case, my girlfriend speculated what if the boiler room scientist in Fusion was trying to eradicate the X?
I know ADAM states afterwards that it was because the X viewed sacrificing all of the parasites on the BSL Station as a worthy trade for killing Samus, but hey. It's the nature of Alternative Character Interpretation to wiggle around things like that.

🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaI mean, ADAM himself is merely speculating there.
Trans rights are human rights.I mean, if the X are capable of long-term planning, then the most logical course of action would be for QR-X to sacrifice itself so Samus can get off-planet, while hiding one or two more X somewhere on her ship that Samus isn't likely to look until she's safely landed on any other planet.
The simplest explanation is that Quiet Robe's personality eventually bled into the X-Parasite enough for it to sacrifice itself to save Samus. It's a case of Assimilation Backfire.
Heck, maybe that's why that one gold Chozo-X still guards the way to Raven Beak. The likely indoctrinated loyalty to Raven Beak held by the original Mawkin may have bled into the X-Parasite.

Disgusted, but not surprisedIs there any agreed-upon name for those red biological growths that explode when shot?
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Problem with that theory is that ADAM can detect X parasites so there's no way one can hide in the ship.
Which means ADAM let Quiet Robe in, presumably either he gambled or Quiet Robe explained what happened.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I managed to finish Hard mode in under four hours IGT! (3:31:42, 37%)
Used the Amiibo for the extra E-tank and missile+ tank though, because initially everything was kicking my butt. Took some Save Scumming too to avoid getting lost. But hey, it's not like I'm aiming for the leaderboards, I just wanted the pictures.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Besides, they dont have to smuggle an X out on Samus' ship. There were other ships visible on the planet that were gone during the countdown. The X is likely still out there.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireRaven Beak has some nice comfy chairpod.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life.Latest Awkward Zombie is about Dread:
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."The Awkward Zombie forums are a nest of spambots D:
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! Not only that, but several of them seem to be carrying on some utterly nonsensical conversation. And even stranger, a couple of the human posters seem to be trying to egg them on into continuing...
It's like bored people abusing Cleverbot on a grander scale.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order. The important thing is that the comic was amusing
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
Like I said before, the Chozo problem of forgetting to propagate when too old, is sort of a reflection of Japanese issues.
Looking at guys like Raven Beak and Old Bird, I can definitely see the race being hyper focused on their goals that they forgot to fuck.
