I also haven't played the game 8.2 is from, but fair enough on the lack of clocks in the image.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.19 is the best illustration IMO. It has a watermark in the bottom right unfortunately.
8.1.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."8.1 is perf.
Yeah, I'll go with 8.1.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I don't think my suggestion is too busy. The details are still visible enough at wiki size.
That crop might actually work.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.
The trope isn't just time travel in general, it's specifically the floating clocks, and the dinosaurs are the most prominent part of 19 / 32.
I'll go with 8.1.
I disagree. The trope is not simply about floating clocks, but the use of said clocks as a visual indicator of a transition between different time periods. Hence, the suggestions in 8 illustrates the trope name, but not the actual trope.

The trope is about floating clocks appearing during time travel. The current image has clocks, but no time travel. 19/32 has floating clocks, and the dinosaurs show that there is probably some time travel involved. The problem with 19 is that shrinking it to wikisize the details would be lost and the dinosaurs would dominate the scene so much that the clocks become hard to see. However, 32's crop is much better as it focuses on the time travellers themselves, the clocks are easier to see, and the dinosaurs are still there.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.32 looks good.
This. 32 works
32.
back lol32, then.

No caption discussion for a couple of days; locking up.
In 8.2, they are in some outer dimension or possibly floating in space, carried in green outhouses, accompanied by an equation that has nothing to do with time travel...
...none of that fits the trope of Floating Clocks.
This trope is specifically about depicting time travel with clocks and more clocks and lots of clocks. 8.2 doesn't do that.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!
