Ready, Aim, Fire! 2.0

This is a simple, chaotic and fun game I’m rebooting. The original “Ready, Aim, Fire!” on the forums was made by Nine Tailed Cat, but it seems inactive. You can read through it here Here are the rules:

• The game is played in rounds. Each round lasts for 24 hours, or until all players have sent in their actions.
• During a round, each player may send the host (me, for the first game) a PM stating which of three actions they want to take:
  • Shoot the air: Basically, you target nobody and nothing happens. If a player doesn't send in a PM before the day ends, they will shoot the air automatically.
  • Shoot another player: In this case, the player specifies another active player who they want to shoot. The target player dies (obviously) unless they shoot themselves (less obviously; see below).
  • Shoot yourself: This is where it gets weird. Normally, if you shoot yourself, you die. However, if you shoot yourself while anyone else is shooting you, you survive and everyone else targeting you dies.
• A player who has submitted an action may send another PM with a different action if they change their mind. The original action will be ignored in favour of the new one.
• At the end of each round, the host will announce what actions were taken by each player and narrate the results. Dead players will be removed from the game at that point, although they may still provide a bit of commentary.
• The game ends when there is no more than one surviving player. The survivor, if any, wins.
• Feel free to comment on the game or roleplay a bit, as long as you don't derail the thread. I want everyone to have fun with this game, so I'm counting on you to keep it lively.

So, we'll be going to the ice town of Verkhoyansk for our first game. Post in this thread if you're interested. Sign-ups will close on Sunday, and then the actual shootout can begin.

For this round of Ready, Aim, Fire, we will be in one of the Real Life coldest cities in the world, Verkhoyansk. Several tropers have been trapped here, forced to hunt each other, each with almost nothing but a gun.

As the tropers wander around in their attempts to become Cannibals, Round 1 begins. As Taco Badger wanders around, when suddenly, he hears something! BANG! He shoots, but he just missed Playing_with_boy. As he readjusts his pistol, he shoots, and seconds later, is lying on the ground. "Who puts one bullet in their gun?" Playing_with_boy says as he walks away... for five feet. Autistic Alivia shoots him, too. "Who doesn't look behind themself?" Autistic Alivia mocks.

On the other side of town, Golden City Bird argues with Tabby Girl 4 and William Radar Storm in the middle. "I will shoot you out right now!" Tabby Girl 4 says. "Not if I shoot you first," Golden City Bird responds. As Golden City Bird shoots, his bullet is lodged in William Radar Storm's skull. When he drops dead, Tabby Girl 4's bullet has a clear path to Golden City Bird's head. Suddenly, Routeferret rushes in, trying to find and kill Tabby Girl 4. As the bullet whizzes by, Zanreo appears. As she shoots Routeferret and the latter bleeds out, Tabby Girl 4 hides in the shadows, realizing that her gun is empty.

As the three remaining tropers wander around, Zanreo runs into Autistic Alivia. "Poor guy. Enjoy your last seconds of life," Autistic Alivia says as her bullet grazes Zanreo's arm. She begins to bleed out, realizing that she's about to die. Unless...

"You forgot two important things." Zanreo replies smugly. "A, I'm a GIRL, and B, I have a BANDAGE!!! As she lines up her pistol, she sees something in the distance. BANG! Tabby Girl 4 shot Autistic Alivia from afar. As Zanreo runs, she hopes Tabby Girl 4 isn't coming for her next.

As you can see, I am very sorry that I messed up Zanreo's gender during last round. Ergo, I have dedicated this round to ensuring that everybody refers to her as such.

As Zanreo runs, she realizes that she has some ammunition, and turns around. Tabby Girl 4 is right next to her! Zanreo is too shocked to shoot, and BOOM! Zanreo is finally dead.

Throughout the game as a whole, shooting yourself always worked, and shooting someone else did in the first round. Almost nobody shot the air, and it was a bad choice anyways. But, I guess Tabby Girl 4 won, so congratulations! Maybe someone else will host the next game. Who wants to try?
