Who else has beef with Vin? I only know of Dwayne.

I'm...actually not sure. The article just gave me the impression that Vin kinda likes butting heads with more than one person.

Which is ironic given that he's Groot. And the Iron Giant.

Man its not like Johnson needs to come back here, the guy is doing far better than Vin is in the movies.

I guess Dwayne and Vince are just incompatible.

The thing I've understood from the stories of their feud is that they both have rather fragile egos actually. It seems like Dwayne's character might have become more grandiose than it already is had Johnson got his way during production, which would've actually hurt Vin Diesel's presentation as an action star a lot. Johnson is a much bigger star, with a larger fanbase and more box office clout.

But this is ultimately Vin's franchise. Once word got out on the feud, it was a matter of time for Hobbs character to be completely written out.

I feel that's why Russell's Mr. Nobody was introduced to begin with, to continue being the liason to government agencies once Hobbs was out of the picture. And was probably the behind the scenes impetus for rewriting Statham's Deckard Shaw into an ally, as it seems they still have plans for him going by F9's stinger.

Yeah, I can see where Vin is coming from there. Dwayne basically stealing the spotlight from his own movie franchise is a bit much.

The Rock can't help it if he gets more attention than the guy who's supposed to be the lead!

I jest, but...okay, when puts it like that, then maybe Vin has a bit of a point?

(Hobbs & Shaw was still a lot of fun.)

I truly admire their refusal to follow a consistent numbering scheme for their sequels.

The funniest thing is that people had been wishing for/predicting that they would go to space sooner or later, and that's exactly what ended up happening.

That sounds very suspicious to me when no reason is provided.

It does make you wonder. He practically made this franchise at this point, so it’s unlikely to be a Creative Differences thing.

So, should we be worried?

I'd say it's a bit early for that, but still, this is not a good sign.

So word is is that Justin Lin didn't want to deal with Vin Diesel anymore and that's why he stepped down.

I think that was kind of what everyone was guessing...

Anyway, Variety is reporting that Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk (2008), Clash of the Titans (2010), Now You See Me, Lupin (2021)) will be stepping in to finish the job, a few days and a few million dollars out of Universal's pocket later.

Leterrier? Jesus wept.
