Ways we deal with stress

With short-term stress, I take a walk to clear my head, to let the fresh outdoor air distract me from whatever is bothering me. For long-term stress, I need uninterrupted time for something creative, like crafting miniatures or something similar.

A surprisingly nice combination: fireflies and cicadas. :)

Sometimes I try to think of nature and pretty scenery, and it can sometimes expel any negative thoughts as a result… Scenery Porn is one of my favorite tropes, after all!

Food.

Actually oatmeal with a baked apple is pretty comforting. I'm unorthodox by adding a handful of hazelnuts sometimes (they work surprisingly well), but for fast, not-terribly-unhealthy, can-make-for-myself comfort food it's pretty nice either way.

ETA: Do not recommend rice flakes, though. Someone gave me a bag in a misguided attempt to be nice and eeugh. Most of the bag still sits there, waiting for a better idea to use them.

Writing my frustrations down.

Surprisingly, it feels like this majestic and epic video has a calming effect on me. :)

Listening to Innocent Starter by Nana Mizuki, crying and then reading relaxing stuff.

Tea, video games, journalling. (Autocorrect turned that last one into "journal lingerie" for some reason, glad I caught it.)

Edit: Got rid of depressive ranting about guilt over needing self-care. I know rationally that there's nothing wrong with it, that there's a difference between self-care and selfishness, and I apologise to anyone it may have offended.
