Welcome to HGS: Another Side Another Story. It is a roleplay spinoff for the Hunger Games Simulator forum game, akin to both the RP's in the Roleplaying section as well as the ITTs in Forum Games. It tells the story of the Hunger Games in the Arena of Panem, the nominators who sent the tributes, the tributes themselves both in and out of the Arena or even other people relevant to the Games. In addition, it also tells their stories beyond the Arena.
You can jump right in with any character, like your nominator self, your tributes, etc. The structure of this RP will be open-world. Don't worry about not being skilled/experienced enough or being new to RP'ing. Finally, ASAS accepts any skill level or RP style. Other than these, there are some important rules to note, which are:
- No godmodding will be allowed or tolerated here. The offending player will be given punishment depending on the severity.
- Please communicate anything important you plan on another player with the said player first. Don't just execute it without their consent.
- Don't be rude to other players, both out and in-universe. This extends to RP offenses like railroading, guilt-tripping, coercing, or other forms of forcing them.
- This RP is related to the Hunger Games Simulation:Beyond the Possibilities forum game. Thus it will have events based from that game, including the tributes. This means if you want to RP as tributes, please nominate them officially on the thread first, with misses not being counted. This has to be done after an incident with a player who hasn't joined the game itself yet.
- Since this RP is Loose Canon in relation to the main HGS thread, the host's interpretation of events isn't necessarily 100% canon. Every player has the right to deviate from what the host says and go with their own interpretations. If multiple players have their tributes involved in the same event(s), please communicate with each other so that you're on the same page regarding how you see them.
- This RP chronicles the lives of the nominators and their tributes behind the scenes. While dark plots are acceptable, the overall tone of the RP should be light-hearted and comedic. This RP is not a Cosmic Horror Story or action story about defeating evil. It is a Slice of Life comedy with some adventure to it, first and foremost. Our previous RP, Convergence, is not representative of the intended tone, and the grimdark tone of that RP is one of the main reasons it was retooled.
- Nominators and tributes alike can transform into Pokemon whenever they enter a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World (but they can bypass this with certain items/methods or shapeshifting) or via other means outside it such as a season event, Transformation Trinkets, or shapeshifting. The players are free to choose the Pokéforms that best suit their characters and even give them color schemes outside the standard and Shiny colors, but there is a hard rule for this. If you want your character's Pokéform to be a Legendary, Mythical, or Ultra Beast, please ask the RP mods for approval. Outside the Arena, these Pokéforms are still OP, but we want to give leeway for tributes who theoretically can have them such as deities.

Detective Gamechanger's Base
A sharp-dressed man in a green suit and yellow tie is standing by the entrance of the base. He is of average height and has whitish skin, though still a bit darker. He is Billy, one of the nominators and the organizer of the party.
Indeed, after the nominators' returned and settled their problems, they decide to have fun with a party. Billy also sent invites for all the other nominators out there, as well as basically anyone else, including tributes, non associated parties, interested nominators who haven't participate yet, or even those who just wants to hang out.
The place itself in the base is refurbished for party purposes. Fancy chairs and tables are set everywhere for people to relax, as well as put food and other objects for the latter. There's also various collections showcased, including those belonging to the Detective, like his classic cars. Various themes to the base are set too, including detective noir as GC would have preferred.
Billy is now awaiting for other guests to arrive. He is also ready to give them a pleasant surprise during the party pertaining to his nation.

Morgan's room
Eventually, Cerberus grew bored of the fight. Without warning, she rammed at Susie and restrained her with her secondary heads. The Hydreigon moved her main head at Morgan, awaiting his orders.
Mine cart
"That's a lovely idea! I hope she will accept." Aaron said to Ralsei as the goat proposed to offer him and his rival crystal balls to communicate with him.
"I am surprised that also includes me, considering how close you and Aaron are. But why not? I will gladly help you if needed, dear Ralsei." the Inteleon said.
The two leaders gave a thumb up when Ralsei added that a true hero should save everyone in need, and not just their friends.
"You took the words right out of our mouths. Now, you are starting to think as a true rescuer would." James said, putting his hand on Ralsei's shoulder.
"Yes! That's the spirit!" Aaron laughed, patting Ralsei on the head.
Eventually, the mine cart started to go faster, much to Aaron's discomfort.
"W-Wow... We're really going fast." he stammered, holding tight to the cart.
"I am aware. But the quicker we will reach Ralsei's friend, the better it will be!" James exclaimed. He grinned upon seeing that Aaron didn't felt good.
"Ohoho, what is this? Do not tell me the brave, famous leader of the Rescue Squad is afraid?" he teased.
"A-A bit... It's going way too fast for me " Aaron admitted.
"You look like you want to hug me or Ralsei." James kept teasing, patting Aaron's back.
"You mean like you want to hug your teammates whenever you see a spider?" Aaron sharply replied. James looked at his younger rival with shock.
"How do you...?"
"Aura." Aaron answered, smiling playfully. James smiled back.
"Hmph. Touché. Consider that we are even, then, filthy Lucario. But... I do admit we are going alarmingly fast actually." the cocky Inteleon said, before gasping upon noticing what was waiting for the trio.
Aaron widened his eyes in dread as he saw the tracks was leading the trio towards a litteral Rollercoaster Mine with big slopes and inclines, tight turns, rails going upside down, loops and jumps.
"Oh... Oh no..." Aaron whispered in fear. He gulped and his face became pale.
"J-James? What do we do?" he asked the Inteleon, who didn't seem very reassured either. Still trying to put a brave face, James pulled his arms around the duo and gripped tightly each of the cart's sides.
"L-Listen closely, gentlemen. Do not panic. In the end, we are on our way to Susie, even though it's a... special one. Therefore, as the full grown-up adult here, I hereby suggest we all hold on tightly for our lives!" James said, his shaking voice slightly higher than usual.
Aaron gave a scared look at Ralsei and gripped his hand tightly.
"I-I'm maybe exaggerating, but if we don't survive this-"
"Please do not say that!! Pessimistic thoughts like this might bring us bad luck!!" James shouted, sweating.
"A-Anyway, I want you to know... You are a really good friend." the Lucario said, smiling nervously.
Then, Aaron yelled in terror with James as the cart dropped down its first slop.

Psyche's Fanfic School
The reserves are announced. Psyche sighs with annoyance. This is the third time I applied Suga to be a reserve for these Nominator Games, and the third time he wasn't chosen... do I just have shitty luck or what?
Oh well. She'd managed to test her data clone technology with Jake and Rosé a couple of seasons ago, and it had worked out well. She'll have to use it with Suga some other time...
She announces her departure to the Arena to Ms. May and all the other teachers, who wish her luck and promise to watch her performance. Once she's said goodbye to everyone, Psyche heads off to the Arena, feeling quite nervous about what this season might entail...

Eye-Sicle's Lair (Inside)
No no NO! It ain't fair!! RRGH! (Bisicle shouts as he pounds his furry fists on the chamber console. He just found out he wasn't chosen to be one of the eight reserves for this season and he is not happy.)
Aw, pipe down, you'll get another chance. (Eye-Sicle says.)
(Bisicle keeps grumbling to himself.)
(At this point, Stanford turns the chamber on and pulls Henry in. He shows up alongside a Golisopod companion, and the both of them are holding what looks like a very large wooden tub full of sparkling water.)
Greetings, citizens! Here is your delivery of some Danjor Island spring water! (Henry says cheerfully as he and Shelley set the tub gingerly on the ground.)
Freaking finally! I'm ready to be me again... (Eye-Sicle grumbles, entering the chamber and preparing to jump in.)
(But just as he's about to jump in-)
PUNG! (crash!)
(Bisicle suddenly fires a laser from his eye through the glass window and straight at the tub, busting a large hole in it and starting to send the water inside pouring out through it.)
Wha-? YOU!! (Eye-Sicle screams.)
(The Golisopod quickly jams one of her claws into the hole, causing the flow of water to stop pouring out as fast as it does.) Sir, please hurry. This tub might give away! (She urges Eye-Sicle.)
(Bisicle tries to fire another laser at the tub and Shelley, but Liesl springs onto his back and knocks him down, causing the laser to fire off into the ceiling instead.)
Someone help me hold him down! (Liesl asks. Gloria and the June clone in the room oblige.)
GET OFFA ME YA JERKS!! (Bisicle protests.)
(Eye-Sicle clumsily tumbles headfirst into the tub. After a few seconds, he pokes back up out of the water, a polar bear again.)
HELL YEAH!! I'M ME AGAIN!! (Eye-Sicle says. He glares out at where Bisicle was standing.) No thanks to YOU...
(At this point the tub gives way and the water inside shoots out everywhere, soaking Henry and Shelley and sending Eye-Sicle spilling out onto the floor on his stomach.)
Well, thank goodness we don't have to summon anyone else for this season, because this will take a while to clean up. (Stanford says.)
(Eye-Sicle stomps out of the chamber and straight to Bisicle. He hefts his clone up to his feet and decks him right in the face, knocking him right back down.)
WHAT THE BLAZES DID YA THINK YOU WERE DOING?! I know you're upset that ya weren't picked for the Nom games, but that was damn uncalled for! (Eye-Sicle shouts.)
Whatever. I'm outta here. Go ahead and get yourself a new bodyguard. (Biscle says, standing up and stalking out of the room, rubbing the side of his face.)
Sheesh, talk about your sore losers. (Gloria remarks.)
I am not sure why, but I feel like we may not have heard the last of him. (Stanford says.)
Whatever. He ain't our problem right now. (Eye-Sicle says.) Let's get ready for the nom games already. And tell those two kids to quit lookin' for the jerk who did that to me, Stokes.
Alright... (Stanford says.)
Eye-Sicle's Lair (Outside)
Well, what are we waiting for, people? Let's go find 'em. (Kay says.)
(The group moves further into the woods.)
(A lone June clone is touching up decorations she put on a tree when she thinks she heard something in the bushes. Her ears twitch as she turns to look. She doesn't see anybody approaching.)
Uh...hey? (She calls. She finds herself wishing she hadn't strayed so far away from the Junes she had been with. She cautiously climbs down out of the tree, her claws emanating with Dark energy. A bush shakes again. June #19 braces herself...)
(And what should jump out of the bush but a Thievul.) June??
Whoa! Hey, how'd ya know my name? (June #19 asks.)
Oh, uh, m-man, I figured you wouldn't recognize me. You haven't seen me since I was a Nickit. (He says.) It's me, Wednesday. Your old classmate in Foxfell?
(June #19's eyes go wide in recognition and he probably throws her arms around the Thievul.) Ozzyyyyyyyy! My gosh, it's been sooooooo long! How long have ya been a Thievul? Are y' still makin' costumes? Oh man, there's sooooo much we need t' talk about!
Yeah! Yeah! (Wednesday says.) What are you doing here? Did someone invite you to visit a new world, too?
I was gonna ask ya th' same thing! How'd ya even get out here? Did somebody else pull y' in? (June #19 asks.) 'Cause I know nobody here did.
Y-...Yeah, somebody else did. (Wednesday says. He seems a bit nervous.)
(June #19 notices that he seems to be trying to hide something on his foreleg underneath his extremely fluffy chest fur. She looks closely and sees a bracer on it...one just like the ones that Kenny and Joaquin's old "friends" and the Burgermeister were wearing a while ago.)
Ozzy, how'd ya get one of those? (She asks him.)
...Uh, um...I can explain...
You aren't doin' mean stuff now, are you? (June #19 asks, suddenly very concerned and worried.)
I...I...
"Okay, yeah, I guess Ollie fits the goofy sidekick role, but being a princess doesn't mean I spontaneously sing about everything, 'kay?"

Infinite Darkness HQ, Exegol
Eventually, the recruitment team for Heinrich and Patrick is assembled. They will comprise of Palpatine himself, as well as Talulah and Cioccolata. Before embarking into the Trauma Center universe, Palpatine says, "since your appearance is rather unnatural to their world, Talulah, we must eliminate any witness to us as soon as possible."
"I understand, Palpatine. They can burn to the ground."
"I'm also looking forward to see the faces they make when they suffer! I'll be relishing in their painful torment!" Cioccolata gleefully expresses before laughing madly while holding his recorder, as Palpatine smirks at the sight.
Eye-sicle's Base
As Squidward continues chasing Cirno, he eventually crashes into one of the other June clones. He just screams angrily to Cirno and then the June clone, "curse you, you idiot fairy! Also, get out of my way!"
Patrick then notices Cirno as he says, "wait, is she holding Squidward's clarinet?" Spongebob quickly responds, "so this must mean that Squidward is generous enough to let another musician try it!"
"That's amazing. I never expected he would be willing to train new talents like that."
Uraraka then decides to do something, seeing she is a pro hero. She declares, "Hey, I must get Squidward's clarinet back t' its owner!" She then charges forward as she tries to stop Cirno.
Meanwhile, Billy finishes his talk with Libre by wishing him luck in the Nominator Game, then checking news about it next. He soon finds out that Arcturus has been chose for the season, out of him, George, or Kayla. The two servants immediately give their well wishes to Arcturus.
"Hey, congrats Arcturus! I know you would make it! I'm wishing you the best of luck for your outing!"
"I also share the same sentiment with Kayla. I hope you will stay strong together, Mr. Billy and Arcturus. I do not want to see you betray each other."
"I also hope this is the case when we get to the Arena. Anyway, you know the drill, Dr. Shrnietr."
"I do, Mr. Billy! It's to resurrect you as usual in case you die, resurrect Arcturus if he gets killed, and perform the rehabilitation when necessary!"
"I also wish the programming of the Arena will show both of you mercy." Chris says.
Natalie is the final one to speak, "Hah, as if the running simulation is predictable enough in the first place. No hard feelings though. If anything, I still wish the best for you two, especially you." Natalie refers to Arcturus.
Billy then decides to dial his phone to call Sancaka, wanting him to have his words with Arcturus before he and Billy have to go to the Arena. Sancaka already knows about Arcturus' entry few minutes ago as he has a special communicator that gives him news in Panem.
PMD Universe
Tsubakura says, "I've dealt with few leaders and youkais before. I suppose they are not different from these youkais I had to exterminate."
Then the battle starts. When Ridley rushes Tsubakura, they fly away, then launches another Air Cutter at the pirate. However, this time it seems imbued with a strange black substance that comes from their Senri hat. Tsubakura has secretly brought their nanobots that form a part of their danmaku with them, integrating them into their Pokémon moves. Meanwhile, Patchouli decides to assist them by firing a Psybeam at Ridley, hoping to distract and confuse him. Finally, Sandy takes a berry from her tail, eats it, and uses Belch against Ridley, hoping the smell will provide further distraction in addition to harming him.

Battle
Kraid's skin proved to be too resistant for Glimmer's Dazzling Geams. As she was firing, the titan threw one of his claws at her.
However, one of the rays hit his eyes, causing the monster to roar. Arthur took this opportunity to fire dozens of arrows at Kraid's mouth, effectively damaging him.
"Not so tough now, are we?" Arthur mocked as he dodged Kraid's arm.
Underwater, Draygon analyzed the situation and noticed that Big Mac was preparing to counterattack Phantoon.
Breaking the floor near the pony, the crustacean spitted a bunch of gray mucus at him, hoping to immobilize him, allowing the giant Evir to drag him underwater.
While Ridley dodged Patchouli's Psybeams with ease, Tsubakura launched a special Air Cutter at the pirate, covering his wing with ink and slowing him down. Eventually, Sandy hit him with Belch, hurting him more.
But Ridley couldn't care less about the rotten berry. With impressive speed, the dragon viciously slashed at Sandy and prepared to brutally skewer her. Fortunately, a Fire Punch in the face prevented his attack.
"Hey ugly! How about you fight real fighters here?" Alex mocked. Ridley screeched furiously at them.
After that, Phantoon focused on Billy's tributes, invocating its rage hands to grab them while keeping firing phantom eyes at them. Eventually, the monster materialized again and opened its mouth, sending waves of guided phantom eyes, which, unlike the normal version, followed them until they hit their target.
After failing to catch Tsubakara, Ridley took on the 3 remaining Pokémon. He fired fireballs at Tokage, attempting to burn him. The Grovyle dodged the attacks and slashed at Ridley. Snarling, the dragon took flight and caught the Grovyle. Roaring in delight, Ridley slammed Tokage against the wall and started to strengthen his grasp, attempting to crush him.
"HEY, YOU BIG BITCH!!!"
Ridley roared in pain as Alex used Outrage at him, ramming into the dragon with great strength. Nick followed and threw a Pyro Ball at Ridley, who deflected it with his tail. The dragon used said tail to bounce erratically on the floor, shooting fireballs with his mouth.
As for Undyne and her "dark" counterpart, they fought equally, at first with spear against spear.
"You have improved since your last battle... But in the end, it is pointless to resist."
While striking at Undyne with her spear, her eyes flashed and she also threw a dark punch at her. The evil doppledanger levitated away, noticing that her allies were struggling, and raised her hand, covering the area with dark fog and lighting the heroes' shadows.
"You are all helpless against the Dark Power. Succumb to the darkness!" Dark Undyne roared

"Who knows, really? Maybe they're just lurking around, waiting for their time to strike... But we shouldn't be worrying about them right now. What matters is that you both do your best in the Arena."
Eye-Sicle's Lair
The Pearls follow Kay into the woods and keep an eye out for any more June clones. They hear some rustling in a nearby bush.
"Could that be one of them?"
"Maybe, but let's keep listening..."
"Either way, we should go watch the Nominator Games after this."
"Where? Here or after the party?"
"I'm not sure..."
Scipion's Lair
While Susie struggles to breathe when Cerberus restrains her, Ralsei holds on tight when the mine cart goes down the tracks. He uses his still-damaged scarf as a third arm to hold onto one side and bleats loudly when the cart drops. Memories of the train ride to the first Reboot Nominator Games flash in his head as fast as the cart's moving.
Meanwhile, Glimmer gets scratched by Kraid while Big Mac tries pulling himself out of Draygon's grasp. He's naturally strong as an earth pony, but he's even stronger as a Mudsdale. As for Undyne, she commends her "Dark" counterpart for being equally matched, but gets punched in the gut before the latter unleashes her darkness upon everyone. Alphys signals Glimmer to shine a brighter light from her staff and warns everyone to watch out for incoming attacks.
The Database Library, Basement
"So Mom... what should I do with my feelings for Arky?"
"Well... if you feel ready for it, you can try confessing them to him. Maybe drop a few hints here or there that you like him and maybe he might be the one confessing to you!"
Mimi blushes. "But what if he says no?"
6k1 sighs. "It's gonna hurt for a while, or maybe a long time, but it's not the end of the world if he rejects you. But don't worry, I'm sure he'll like you back!"
"Awww..."
"Now, remember your Uncle Dave?"
"Yeah?"
"He got engaged to Fira a few Earth Prime months back."
"Really?!"
"Yes, you were at Fluttershy's when they popped the question."
"Aww... but why did you bring them up?"
6k1 sighs wistfully as she remembers how she helped them get together.
"Because they've known each other for a looong time before they decided to become a couple!"
"Ohhh... but what's their secret?"
6k1 smiles. "They trusted each other, made compromises with their plans, and most importantly, showed mutual respect. Being in a healthy relationship requires all three of these at least, along with always being there for each other when one of them feels down."
Mimi nods in understanding.
"However, loving your partner also means respecting their boundaries on what they want and don't want to do with you."
"But I like cuddling everyone! And doesn't Arky like that, too?"
"Yes, but if he doesn't feel like it and says no, then you should leave him alone until he's ready. And this goes the other way, too: if you feel uncomfortable with him cuddling you, then you should tell him no, and he must respect that, too."
Mimi nods again. "So... I should ask first before cuddling him?"
"Yep, and I'm so glad that you understand this, because not all couples feel happy about their relationships and decide to break up."
The Starble's antennae droop. "But why is that?"
"Sometimes they drift apart because of other things they have to do, others feel that they're not good together after all... but a few of them end up hurting each other during their relationship."
Mimi shakes at the last part. "But that means they don't love each other anymore!"
"Well... it's more complicated than that, my lil' furball. Since I know you can trust Arcturus, I'll end this discussion here and talk about this when you're a little older. But if things don't turn out well with him, then just remember that you'll always have your friends, your family, and me to count on."
6k1 gives her pet a loving embrace and lets herself feel soothed by the warmth of her fur. It was an awkward discussion for both of them, but it didn't feel so bad after all, and they're both relieved that their thoughts and feelings about this were validated.
"Mom..." says Mimi at last, "thanks for helping me understand why I feel this way towards Arky."
6k1 smiles. "It's no problem, my child. Hopefully I properly explained everything that you need to know. If you have any more questions about this, you're free to ask me anytime."
She gives her pet one last headpat before putting her down and getting up. As 6k1 double-checks her things and heads out the door, Mimi starts following her.
"And Mom, before you go, I just wanna say... good luck to both you and Arky, and tell him that I'll just be in my room, cheering for him!"
6k1 smiles. "I will!"

Power smiles and gives Ichi one last hug before following him to the Teleporter Room. Once she sees him off, she teleports herself back home and opens her presents from her family: most notably, a set of black shoes from her aunt and a Lancer plush from her sisters.
"Heh, can't wait to tell Ralsei about this when he comes home..."
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"

Mine cart
James and Aaron were screaming at the top of their lungs and holding for dear life during the entire trip. To say that the ride scared them would be an understatement. While Aaron gripped the cart and Ralsei's hand like he never did before, James particularly struggled to not faint during loops and jumps but held on to protect Aaron and Ralsei, if they were to lose their grip and fall off the cart.
"AAAAAHHHH!! THAT'S FUCKING SCARY!!! I WANT MY MAMAAAAA!!!" Aaron yelled at James.
"I KNOW!! WHY DID I EVER THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA TO BEGIN WI-OH MY GOOOOOOOOOODDD!!!" James answered back with his high-pitched voice, before being interrupted as the mine cart jumped from one railroad to another. Needless to say, their hearts skipped a bit at that part.
After several other intense (and ridiculously dangerous) loops, sharp turns, and drops, both leaders noticed with horror that the track abruptly ended with a drop leading to what seemed to be a long fall down.
"HOLY SHIT!! WE'RE GOING TO DIE!!!" Aaron screamed hysterically.
"S-SHUT UP AND B-BRACE YOURSELVES!!" James squealed. Aaron tightened his grip on Ralsei, rapidly wrapping his arm around the goat, shut his eyes, and clenched his teeth as the car seemingly fell down to its doom.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!"
Scipion and Lucian
As they were searching for a good place for battle, Scipion and Lucian stopped when they heard the trio of rescuers' loud cries coming from above.
"...What's that noise? Sounds like some people having the time of their lives up there." Scipion grunted, raising his eyebrows.
"It looks like Ralsei, James and..."
Lucian widened his eyes in realization and laughed.
"It's Aaron! He's alive!!" he cheerfully said, his eyes shining with happiness and relief.
"Oh, goodie. He brought the goat and the so-called secret agent with him. They sound like they're shitting themselves though, I wonder why." Scipion sighed, rolling his eyes. He grunted upon seeing that his nemesis wasn't going to participate in the nominator games.
"Well shit, I guess I'm going in by myself. I'll still nominate Aaron eventually. Perhaps next season, who knows?" he said to himself.
After several minutes, the duo entered a dark room. Lucian instinctively stayed close to Scipion and shuddered.
"Don't be scared. Nothing's going to bite you. In fact, I'm the only one who would." Scipion muttered, patting Lucian's back. Noticing a torch, Scipion breathed a Flamethrower at it.
The Zoroark grinned evilly as the room lighted up. Lucian gasped in awe.
"W-Wow..."
"EYAHAHAHAAA!! A perfect place for our final battle!!" Scipion cackled excitedly.
Morgan's room
"Sigh... I've seen enough. You're disappointing. But don't fret, it'll be all over soon." Morgan sighed.
"Scipion is going to be mad at this, you know? Oh well! Such a pity... You'll die as you have lived... Alone." Morgan said as Cerberus prepared to launch a last, fatal Hyper Beam at Susie in front of Kris. But at the same time, the four of them would hear three familiar hysterical yells.

Suddenly the cart that James, Aaron, and Ralsei were riding on miraculously burst through the ceiling and rammed into Cerberus and Morgan, saving Susie at the last second. Kris's cage also fell and broke, freeing them in the process.
When Susie and Kris would look up, they would see the terrified (and honestly priceless) faces of the trio as they were holding on to each other.
"Oh by the mighty Arceus... We-We actually survived this nightmare! Ahahaha!" James exclaimed, letting out a terrified laughed. He put his hand on his racing heart and trying to regain back his normal voice.
"A-Are you two okay?" he shakily asked Aaron and Ralsei.
"U-Uh? S-Somehow..." Aaron gasped, panting and still hugging his friend.
"I-I'm sorry for swearing like that, but I-I freaked out." he then apologized.
"I-I understand... T-That was quite an intense ride, even by my standards." James nervously laughed, trying to adjust his bow and regaining his composure.
"T-This is the first and last time I'm ever doing this. I literally saw my life flashing before my eyes." Aaron moaned, shaking his head.
Recovering a bit, Aaron finally studied the environment around him. He noticed Morgan and Cerberus at the corner of the room, unconscious, although it was very likely they were going to wake up soon. And there were also...
"Susie!? Kris!?"

Alright, Stokes, the "wiped from existence" failsafe I asked ya to put in is in place, right? (Eye-Sicle asks as he stands in the chamber.)
It is. (Stanford nods.)
Wait, you can get erased from existence in these games?? (Gloria asks.)
...There is the slight chance, yes. None of it has happened to us yet, but Eye-Sicle doesn't want to take any chances...and neither would I, personally. (Stanford says.)
(Suddenly, Gloria is even more glad she didn't personally participate in the games.)
Quit yappin' and send me in already, will ya? (Eye-Sicle grumbles impatiently.)
Alright, sir. I have some things I need to attend to, so I may not be able to watch the season, but good luck nonetheless. (Stanford mashes several buttons, and off Eye-Sicle goes to the Arena.)
Well, now that Eye-Sicle has gone off for now, I can start sending everyone back to their respective places. (Stanford says.)

(As everyone gets close enough to hear what's going on, it becomes apparent to June whom her clone is talking to.) Ozzy...?

(Without answering Cleo, June jumps out of the bushes and sees the Thievul.) OZZY! Is that really you?
Wait, have I been speaking to an illusion?? (Wednesday is very confused.)

(As the others come out of the bushes as well, Jared and the rest of Stanford's group see the bracer on Wednesday's foreleg.) He doesn't realize at the moment that these words likely won't mean very much to the Pearls and Billy and his friends.)
(June realizes this as well.) Oh no, you haven't been burnin' stuff down have you?
Absolutely not! (Wednesday says.) But I...I...
(He stammers for a moment, seeming like he's trying to figure out the words to say and also seeming nervous upon seeing the large amount of people nearby. After a moment, he simply says:) Good-bye, June.
(Wednesday pushes a button on his bracer with his nose and suddenly vanishes into a strange portal.)
Ozzy, wait! Aw, man...I hadn't seen him in years... (June says sadly.)
(Bisicle, meanwhile, rides away from the lair on one of Eye-Sicle's mopeds and doesn't look back, an enormous scowl on his face.)

"Jace, get the spiders to log the events ok?" Libre texts to Jace. Then he sees Kafka, causing him to briefly forget that his voicebox's busted and yell: "HELLO! KAFKA! I'M SORRY FOR THE SHITTY GREETING-" He stops midway, realising something that hadn't happened since weeks before. It's not just that he can speak again.
He sounds human again. He liked his synth voicebox so much that he'd forgotten what he originally sounded like. "HOLY SHIT! I CAN SPEAK! I SOUND LIKE A HUMAN AGAIN!" he comically exclaims to the confusion of some.
Far away in the sky, a group of rather large spiders can be seen flying, with large triangles of web in front of them.

Power's Home
While writing her letter to Starfall, Power watches 6k1 and the Ichi's go to their podiums. She then rolls the letter into a scroll and mails it to her brother's place, then waits for the season to start. As the others meet up in the Arena, with some being dropped off by the Capitol Train, Power can't help but wonder... where is Dave, and why didn't he show up this season?
The Database Library, Basement
After confirming that 6k1 has arrived safely on her podium, Ally emails the Science Center for the contingency plan in case the DM gets erased from existence: summon Data 6k1 until the original is restored. Ironically for the time traveler, she's immune to the effects of seeing tributes being erased, but not from erasure herself.
The Databot also picks up Mimi so that she can watch with the others in the family room.
The Arena
6k1 waves back at Psyche.
"Glad you made it! And it seems that you're going alone for the third Nominator Games in a row. This'll be my first solo season, so wish me luck!"
She also waves hi to Libre and the others, and looks around at the other nominators who have shown up. However, she notices that someone's missing...
I know that Starfall's staying behind for his health while Tabby retired, most likely for personal reasons... she thinks, but brother... where are you?
Eye-Sicle's Lair
Suddenly, Wednesday pops out of the bushes and meets up with June, only to teleport away with his bracer.
"What just happened?" asks Yellow.
"Maybe he didn't feel like talking to us?" adds Blue.
"Either way, we should catch that clone if she's not that far away from us!"
"That being said, who was that fox friend of yours?" Blue asks June.
Scipion's Lair
Cerberus was about to fire her Hyper Beam when suddenly, the mine cart crashes into the room and knocks her and Morgan away, also breaking Kris's cage in the process. Kris and Susie collapse for a while, then slowly look up to the shocked looks of Aaron, James, and Ralsei huddling each other after the ride.
"Ralsei...?" Susie groans. "Is that you...?"
The young goat gasps and recollects himself before getting down from the cart and approaching her. "Susie, are you alright?!"
He kneels down and heals her. "We've been looking all over for you!"
Susie gets up, stretches her arms, and yawns.
"I... I'm okay..."
"Thank goodness, Susie!" He hugs her, which she groans at.
"But what about Kris?" she asks, pointing to them.
Ralsei turns to their direction and rushes to them. He quickly heals them and helps them up, then gives them a big hug.
"I'm so glad you're alright, too! What happened?"
They tell him about everything that went down in Morgan's battle.
"Oh no..."

Aaron and James followed suit and got out of the cart, approaching Kris and Susie. The Lucario immediately hugged Susie right after Ralsei.
"Please don't leave us again like that. Everyone was really worried about you." Aaron gently said to her.
"You should be more careful in the future young lady. But I am relieved to see that you are well." James added. The two Pokémons then turned toward Kris as they got up. Likewise, Aaron couldn't help himself but hug the human. But the Pokémons noticed the several bruises and cuts they had.
Then, Kris explained what happened during their time in Morgan's grasp, including Susie's battle. Aaron cupped his mouth and sighed.
"I'm... sorry, you had to go through that. M-Maybe if we had got here sooner..." he said to Kris and Susie.
"Really Aaron? You really cannot help yourself to feel sorry at everything, do you? Besides, we did as fast as we could... And I am not saying that because of our insane ride earlier." James said, attempting to comfort him.
Before Aaron could continue the conversation, the mine cart was suddenly thrown at the group, literally bursting a hole in a wall in the process. Cerberus emerged and snarled. Morgan got by her side, groaning. Aaron and James couldn't help but shudder at the pure insane look on his face.
"Of course, Scips's tributes would allow you clowns to ruin everything. You cretins did it... You actually pissed me off." he hissed, an angry smile on his face.
"Well I guess that's a good thing, then." Aaron answered.
"So, you stood your ground against this Hydreigon? Those monstrosities are highly destructive. I commend you for surviving for so long against it." James said to Susie.
"Ermm... I think I know it, or rather her. She's Cerberus, Perseph-"
Aaron yelped and dodged a Dragon Pulse coming from Cerberus.
"Oh right... I forgot it wants to be referred to as being genderless." Aaron grunted, summoning his aura bone.
The two Pokémon leaders put themselves between the Delta Warriors and Morgan as the Morgrem summoned clones.
"So... I guess you two are here for the wolf." he mocked.
"And Kris, not just Lucian. You won't touch them or any of their friends anymore." Aaron sharply growled back.
"Hah! We'll see..."
Seeing that Morgan took on Aaron and James, Cerberus shook wildly her three heads, studying her previous's opponent' friends. The Hydreigon immediately deduced which one of them was the leader.
Screeching a Hyper Voice, she charged at the Delta Warriors at the same time, wanting to fight them with her mouths. The main head used Crunch, the one against Susie Fire Fang, and the one against Ralsei Ice Fang.

He was an old friend of my sisters and I from back home... (June says.) I hadn't seen him since he was still a Nickit. I wonder why he left so fast.
I didn't like how he was wearin' one of those things the 'Brijes were wearin'. (Kenny says.) Was it like him to cause any sort of trouble?
Nuh uh, not at all. (June says, now sounding a bit worried.) I hope he isn't doin' bad stuff now...
(Cleo scans the immediate area, but doesn't see any apparent sign of any other Junes.) I do not believe there are anymore clones of June over here. Perhaps we should start back toward the Lair.

(At this point Eye-Sicle spots the other nominators who are currently here.) Hey! Over here! (He calls to them.)

Elliot swished his tail to and fro as he watched the sun set from the window. Behind him lured Ichabod and Barnaby, playfully batting each other in the face. He was thinking about the nominator games more than anything.And Thistle.

"Ichabod? Barnaby?" Elliot turned around to say, "I believe it's time to go."

Elliot looked at the other nominators on the podiums, having sat down and idly licking his paws.He felt oddly distant to them. How much of a game even is this, anyway?

Tsubakura stays silent after they successfully land the hit on Ridley, observing his next move instead. Meanwhile, Sandy successfully gets her hit on Ridley, only for her to let an "uh-oh" as she gets rushed by him. The Greedent manages to dodge most of the attacks, but one attack connects, causing a small slash over one of her cheeks, as well as a berry to drop from her tail.
Sandy then says, "ow, gotta get that berry again." She then manages to grab it, before quickly biting on it to Stockpile. At the same time, Tsubakura prepares to use Sky Attack, focusing their energy into it. They also manipulate the ink-like nanobots again to form knives that will be thrown with the Sky Attack.
Meanwhile, Patchouli prepares a Psyshock as she says, "watch out for those hands." She then tries to run away from them before using her move, but as she is still not used to being physically fit, she almost stumbles upon a rock. However, she then fires her Psyshock before the hand can grab her, though she's then hit by a phantom eye.
As for the other two, Tsubakura and Sandy both manage to fly and run respectively to dodge the eyes and hands, while Tsubakura tries to fire off some of the "ink" as danmaku against the eyes and hands. Eventually when Phantoon materializes, Tsubakura fires Sky Attack and the knive danmakus at Phantoon's eye, followed by Sandy using Spit Up. Tsubakura also fires more danmaku at the homing hands that are following them and Sandy.
Patchouli, still hurting from the hit while trying to avoid the homing hands, then realizes something about Phantoon's pattern and says as if she's also out of breath, "...it looks like... that Phantoon... will materialize every... few minutes." Knowing this, Patchouli starts setting up Future Sight, hoping to have it deal damage when Phantoon materializes again.
The Arena
Some time later, Billy eventually shows up in the Arena, alongside his pet in a separate podium. He then starts looking at the other nominators and feels concerned when he notices Elliot's unusual expression. He then hears Eye-sicle calling to the nominators, so he answers back, "greetings, Eye-sicle."
Next, Billy hears Libre shouting about how he can speak again. He's unfazed by the sight, seeing his usual stoic personality and thus little reaction to unusual happenings, as well as the knowledge about what actually happened to Libre's voicebox because of the talk earlier. Perhaps he may not need his offer after all, Billy thinks.
Meanwhile, Arcturus is confused as he asks about the Libre situation, "Huh, what'dya mean?"

Arena, after the Rescue arc
"DON'T YOU DARE START WITHOUT ME!!!" a powerful roar echoed through the arena. Scipion, visibly in a hurry, jumped out of a portal and landed into the arena, getting himself into a feral position. He quickly ate an Oran berry to regain his strength, grinned evilly, and let out his signature laugh.
"Eyahahaha!! I can't wait for the massacre. You'd all better not be disappointing, I'm expecting a good fight." he cackled, before studying his various opponents, glaring madly at them.
Battle
Surprisingly, despite his big size, Kraid was the least threatening of the pirates. With Glimmer and Arthur combining their projectiles to harm the giant reptile, they eventually defeated him after a long struggle. Kraid roared in agony as he sank into a cloud of dark smoke.
"Hmph. Sounds like the Dark Star is responsible for bringing those aliens here. Defeating them will send them back to their universe." Arthur remarked.
Phantoon was the second pirate to fall. The creature gave Patchouli a lot of trouble, especially with its phantom eyes. Tsubakura and Sandy faired better, as they were faster.
Both of their attacks connected and Phnatoon immediately retreated. Noticing how Patchouli was weak against it, it attempted to grab her itself with its tentacles.
Fortunately, Patchouli's Foresight hit Phantoon as it reappeared to grab her. The attack was powerful enough to destroy the phantom's eye and it silently disintegrated in the same dark smoke as Kraid.
Draygon was tougher to take care of. Despite grabbing Big Mac with its claws Draygon groaned in pain as the Mudsale kept violently hitting its belly. But the pirate was stronger and resilient. It started to dive in the water. Seeing this, Nick got a bright idea.
"I'm really glad I took those swimming lessons!" he said, plunging inside the water. Draygon was prepared this time and firmly held Big Mac to protect its belly, like a living shield. Nick couldn't help but grimaced at Draygon's cowardice, not that it was going to stop him.
As Draygon tried to flee with its prey, Nick summoned an Electro Ball and threw it at Big Mac and it. Being a ground Pokémon, Big Mac would feel nothing, yet the attack was devastating on Draygon, giving its low resistance to electricity, just as Nick planned.
In a last-ditch effort, the Evir tried to skewer Big Mac with its tail, but its grasp became weak enough for Nick to pull the Mudsale out. Smiling, Nick gave a thumb up at Big Mac for still kicking in before both swam back to the surface as Draygon sank into the cave's depths, defeated.
Finally, after a long battle, Ridley was defeated as well, even though he gave a lot of trouble to Alex and Tokage. Both have received burns and vicious cuts from their opponent.
"Owww... Take that, you stupid dragon..." Alex groaned, smirking mockingly at Ridley. The pirate grunted in disbelief and collapsed on the floor, disappearing as well. Only Dark Undyne remained. Unfortunately for the team, both Alex and Tokage fainted.
Dark Undyne stared at the team with utter contempt.
"You may have defeated these fools, but in the end, it means nothing. Let the Dark Power crush your puny hopes!" she roared everyone's shadow gathering around her.
She summoned waves of dark spears at the group with one hand. With her other hand, Dark Undyne fired electrical bolts at the shadows, harming the one it belonged to if it was touched.

Elliot perked his ears at Scipion and gripped the podium with his claws, softly grumbling to himself. If it weren't against the rules which he still ultimately respects, he would probably shoot him with a magic missile right then and there. But he didn't. Instead, he made eye contact with Billy, drooped his ears, and forced a smile. "I'm okay," he lied.

"The 'Brijes?" asks Blue.
"I've no idea who they are," says Yellow, "but that sounds bad if Wednesday's wearing the same bracer as them..."
"Could they be controlling him like White Diamond?"
"Maybe, but we don't know for sure."
"I just hope he's okay..."
"Anyway..." Yellow says to Cleo, "looks like our job here's done!" She then turns to Blue, smiling. "Let's go back inside, shall we?"
She smiles back. "Sure thing."
The Arena
6k1 feels her heart drop. How could Dave fail to show up for such an important occasion and miss her birthday? Could he just have been busy these days? Did something happen to him after he went home several Panem days ago? Or did he...?
She tries shaking it off. At least she wrote to him earlier. Hopefully, he's just back home, cheering for her like her friends and family back in theirs. Or maybe he and Fira are just preparing for their wedding, who knows? 6k1 hopes that she won't think too much about him this season, but looks at Psyche and wonders if she feels the same about him.
6k1 then distracts herself by waving hi to the other nominators who have just arrived. She wonders how Elliot's doing after the Morths have been restored, but hopes not to get too close to him because of her allergies. She also tells Arcturus that Mimi says hi, and asks Ichi how Power's doing back home. 6k1 then notices his Dark counterpart, and she also wonders if hers exists somewhere in the Multiverse.
An hour passes, and Scipion's among the last to show up, and 6k1 shakes her fists at him. She'd ask him what happened back in his world, but instead, she takes a quick glance at the bespectacled Scorbunny and asks Scipion:
"Who's that Pokémon? Uh... apologies for the anime reference, but if he's a nominator, then I guess you're not the only Pokénom around!"
Still curious about the Scorbunny, 6k1 asks him if he wants to talk with her after the season, in case they don't directly interact in the season itself.
Scipion's Lair, Before Scipion Left for the Arena
Susie grumbles some more when Aaron and James join in the group hug while Kris accepts them.
"I... uh... was so desperate to save Kris, I forgot why I came here in the first place..."
"We were talking about that earlier, Susie," says Ralsei, "and I said that a true hero rescues everyone in need!"
"You think?"
"Yeah!"
"But what if the one needing rescuing's a bad guy?"
"Oh... Depends on how bad they are, I suppose."
Susie was about to try apologizing to him and Kris for the trouble when Morgan and Cerberus suddenly attack them again. Kris asks Susie and Ralsei if they're ready, and they quickly get into their battle stances. They cover their ears/ear holes and get blown back when Cerberus screeches at them with Hyper Voice, then Kris tries striking the main head with their sword while Susie and Ralsei try defending themselves. The former resists the Fire Fang but gets burned, while the latter gets badly injured by Ice Fang.
"Brr... this Pokémon's nothing like Clover!" he says, flinching.
Meanwhile, the tributemons defeat the aliens, with Glimmer and Big Mac thanking Arthur and Nick, respectively, for the help. They all get ready to finish off Dark Undyne, but Alex and Tokage faint from their fight with Ridley.
"Crap..." says Undyne, "do we still have that Revive Mint, Alphys?"
"No we don't..." she replies, "it's with Ralsei along with the Dark Candy, but at least we still have the other healing items with us!"
Undyne tosses the cup of Sea Tea to Big Mac. "For such a tough Pokémon, you need a speed boost!"
He drinks it and gags at the taste of marshwater, but his hooves feel lighter after finishing it.
Dark Undyne then throws the spears and summons the shadows before zapping them with lightning bolts. Big Mac and Undyne tank the orbs but get hit by the spears, but they get up and try slamming her with Body Press (which got boosted from Stamina) and Liquidation, respectively. Glimmer, on the other hand, buckles down when her shadow gets zapped, but she teleports away from the spears and fires her regular magic blasts at Dark Undyne.

Scipion gave a weird look at 6k1 before noticing the Scorbunny she was referring to.
"I have no fucking idea, honestly. On one hand, he does looks like a Pokémon, but something's off about him..." Scipion answered shrugging.
"But who knows? I'll get to the bottom of this if I have his corpse around." the Zoroark continued, cackling.
The Zoroark did not notice Elliot being mad at him, given how little he cared about the cat. He did however notice 6k1 shaking his fists. He was smart enough to deduce why she was angry.
"Oh and before I forget... I trust your tributes will tell you the whole story about "you-know-what" after the season, Sixty." Scipion said, waving his mane with a mischievous smile on his face.
Morgan's room
Morgan fought James and Aaron with two clones. Morgan wished to make it quick and he and his clone kept using portals to protect themselves and trapping the heroes while firing various attacks at the duo of rescuers, or directly attacking them with his claws or hairs. Aaron managed to dodge, mainly relying on his aura. James, although he dodged well too, received a Dazzling Gleam right into the face and screamed in pain.
"James!" Aaron shouted. He threw himself between the kneeling Inteleon and took the Throat Chop from one of Morgan's clones instead of James. Aaron gasped at the vicious attack and kneeled right next to James.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
"Nothing to worry about... But your help is noted." James answered, shaking his head.
"He is strong when he is fighting seriously..." Aaron growled.
"Perhaps... But we have something that he has not. A teammate." James said, grinning despite his bruises.
Aaron looked at him, surprised. The Lucario then smiled back and nodded.
"Hmph. Good. I don't even need to explain the plan to you."
Both Pokémons raised their hands, preparing an Aura Sphere and a Snipe Shot. James's eyes got covered by his nictitating membranes and Aaron focused on his aura.
The two Morgan's clones rushed in to attack the duo physically while the real deal fired a Dark Pulse. Immediately, James used his sharp tail to slash at one of the clones while Aaron forcepalmed the other one. Right after that, they throw their projectiles with a common battle cry right at the real Morgan, with great precision.
Morgan was hit before he could use his portals and was quickly knocked out, defeated.
"W-Wow... It's already over?" Aaron exclaimed.
"It seems he took badly the hit with the cart earlier. He is a frail one. Well done, dear rival." James said, looking at Aaron with pride.
Meanwhile, Cerberus's very teeth clashed against Kris's sword. Susie and Ralsei resisted her attacks with more or less efficiency.
Perhaps their battle with Scipion helped, but Kris managed to land a critical hit on the Hydreigon. The Pokémon roared loudly and backed away.
Her patience disappearing, she prepared for a devastating attack. She combined her Hyper beam, Dragon Pulse, and Dark Pulse with her 3 heads into one powerful laser attack before firing it at the trio. The destructive attack got miraculously blocked by Kris's sword/shield, blocking them and their teammates.
"GUYS!!" Aaron yelled in concern. Protecting his head with his arms, he tried to approach the Delta Warriors, but James restrained him.
"What the hell James??? They need our help!!" Aaron protested.

Cerberus was strong, and she slowly approached the team. The more she approached, the more her attack became stronger against Kris's weapon. Her destructive beam could maybe be deflected back at her, but if it was possible, Kris won't be able to do this on their own.

Oh, right, sorry 'bout that. The 'Brijes are some old enemies of mine who we bumped into while at the North Pole with Eye-Sicle last Christmas, and they were causin' a ton of trouble. (Kenny explains.) Joaquin used to be one of 'em, but he ain't with 'em anymore.
(By this point, all of the June clones are back in front of or inside the lobby the lair. Joaquin and Wanda are back here as well. Dialga, Palkia, and the Pigeon appear to have left, having been fetched by Stanford shortly before everyone came back in. The TV is still on the channel showing the Games, including the now upcoming Nominator games.)

(He also notices Scipion spring in. Having not really noticed him during Hazemaster's Halloween party, he raises an eyebrow as the bloodthirsty fox Pokémon gleefully awaits the start of the season, noticing just how much differently he is from fellow Zoroark June.) (Note to self...watch out for THAT guy...) (He thinks to himself.)

Power then hears the announcement of the reserves and smiles even wider when Dark Ichi is qualified for it.
"I guess your Evil Counterpart's going in after all! I just hope he doesn't harm you or 6k1... That being said, I wonder if her or my Dark self's out there..."
The Database Library, Basement
6k1 sighs at the announcement, but picks up Mimi and pets her.
"Well then," she says to her assistants, "looks like I'll be going alone this time..."
They nod in understanding.
"And Mimi, even if you're not joining Arcturus this season, you can still cheer for him, right?"
"Yep!"
"Now let's go back to your room for my final advice for you, alright?"
"Alright!"

Scipion's Lair
Susie tries firing more Rude Busters at Cerberus, even if the Hydreigon keeps tanking them. When she runs out of magic energy, Susie tries dodging Cerberus' attacks, only to be beaten up every other move.
"Ghhh..." she grunts as she looks at Kris's cage. She's tempted to try breaking it open, but they're too weak to help her right now...
Meanwhile, Ralsei rides the mine cart and discusses with Aaron and James about leadership.
"I'll only fight if Kris orders me to or if I absolutely need to, and even then, I'll only KO my enemies at worst. And I'll admit that I need to be more assertive, like my friend Fluttershy. She's sweet and kind just like me, but she's not afraid to put her hoof down when she needs to! And thanks for sticking with me, Aaron, James! I'll see if my friend Power can give you crystal balls so we can talk in real time!"
He then just remembered something important.
"As much as Susie wants to save Kris as much as I do... doesn't she realize that we came here for another reason? It's not just about them, but Lucian, and a true hero goes out of their way to save other people's friends!"
