Welcome to HGS: Another Side Another Story. It is a roleplay spinoff for the Hunger Games Simulator forum game, akin to both the RP's in the Roleplaying section as well as the ITTs in Forum Games. It tells the story of the Hunger Games in the Arena of Panem, the nominators who sent the tributes, the tributes themselves both in and out of the Arena or even other people relevant to the Games. In addition, it also tells their stories beyond the Arena.
You can jump right in with any character, like your nominator self, your tributes, etc. The structure of this RP will be open-world. Don't worry about not being skilled/experienced enough or being new to RP'ing. Finally, ASAS accepts any skill level or RP style. Other than these, there are some important rules to note, which are:
- No godmodding will be allowed or tolerated here. The offending player will be given punishment depending on the severity.
- Please communicate anything important you plan on another player with the said player first. Don't just execute it without their consent.
- Don't be rude to other players, both out and in-universe. This extends to RP offenses like railroading, guilt-tripping, coercing, or other forms of forcing them.
- This RP is related to the Hunger Games Simulation:Beyond the Possibilities forum game. Thus it will have events based from that game, including the tributes. This means if you want to RP as tributes, please nominate them officially on the thread first, with misses not being counted. This has to be done after an incident with a player who hasn't joined the game itself yet.
- Since this RP is Loose Canon in relation to the main HGS thread, the host's interpretation of events isn't necessarily 100% canon. Every player has the right to deviate from what the host says and go with their own interpretations. If multiple players have their tributes involved in the same event(s), please communicate with each other so that you're on the same page regarding how you see them.
- This RP chronicles the lives of the nominators and their tributes behind the scenes. While dark plots are acceptable, the overall tone of the RP should be light-hearted and comedic. This RP is not a Cosmic Horror Story or action story about defeating evil. It is a Slice of Life comedy with some adventure to it, first and foremost. Our previous RP, Convergence, is not representative of the intended tone, and the grimdark tone of that RP is one of the main reasons it was retooled.
- Nominators and tributes alike can transform into Pokemon whenever they enter a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon World (but they can bypass this with certain items/methods or shapeshifting) or via other means outside it such as a season event, Transformation Trinkets, or shapeshifting. The players are free to choose the Pokéforms that best suit their characters and even give them color schemes outside the standard and Shiny colors, but there is a hard rule for this. If you want your character's Pokéform to be a Legendary, Mythical, or Ultra Beast, please ask the RP mods for approval. Outside the Arena, these Pokéforms are still OP, but we want to give leeway for tributes who theoretically can have them such as deities.

Detective Gamechanger's Base
A sharp-dressed man in a green suit and yellow tie is standing by the entrance of the base. He is of average height and has whitish skin, though still a bit darker. He is Billy, one of the nominators and the organizer of the party.
Indeed, after the nominators' returned and settled their problems, they decide to have fun with a party. Billy also sent invites for all the other nominators out there, as well as basically anyone else, including tributes, non associated parties, interested nominators who haven't participate yet, or even those who just wants to hang out.
The place itself in the base is refurbished for party purposes. Fancy chairs and tables are set everywhere for people to relax, as well as put food and other objects for the latter. There's also various collections showcased, including those belonging to the Detective, like his classic cars. Various themes to the base are set too, including detective noir as GC would have preferred.
Billy is now awaiting for other guests to arrive. He is also ready to give them a pleasant surprise during the party pertaining to his nation.

"What's taking the season so long?! We've had a lot of delays before, but nothing like this!"
She receives an email on her computer and reads it. Shaking her head, she replies to Tabby:
I think it's best for you to cut off all communications with Akumo and stay away from him as much as possible. It's gonna be hard, but you need to get out of this toxic "friendship"!

"Knowing them, they'll send just their synths to worlds that are behind in terms of tech."
The Combine Overworld
Ordinal James reports back to Advisor Beta to tell it the news of the one-sided battle.
"Figured. I'll call in another Ordinal to help you out."
It then calls said Ordinal out.
"Ordinal Toga, come on down. I want you to work with James for the time being."
An alternate universe version of Himiko Toga appears, wearing the standard-issue Ordinal outfit without the helmet.
"Perfect! You two will be heading to Hydaelyn. That planet isn't as advanced in tech as Earth, so it should be easy for you two."
"Affirmative."
"Got it. I'm going to be making a ton of new friends today!"
"James, you'll lead an army consisting of Grunts, Elites, and Suppressors. Toga, you'll go undercover and use that apparatus of yours to disguise yourself as one of their leaders. Whatever you do, do not, I repeat, DO NOT cause a bloodbath in your pursuit of your own idea of friendship before James and his army gets there. Got it?"
"Yes sir!"
"Excellent! I'll be opening a portal to the planet shortly."

A beast stood there. A reaper, there to take his kill. The King of the Koopas died in a single stroke. He was the last living thing on the planet. Metallix had finally perfected himself, and destroyed everything on the Mushroom World.There is nothing else here. I shall go to the wider multiverse... to kill and reap. And get even more abilities that I can copy... The reaper has come.
And so he teleported into Panem using the power of Chaos Control. To rip and tear through the population of it... and the entire Multiverse.
Rulinia's Campship
"Hey, Elliot?" Aster asked."What?" Elliot, who was lying on his side, promptly responded.
"...You can create constructs, right?"
"If you're asking about the ship... then yeah. Is there anything you didn't like about it? In fact- Where's Rose and Violet?"
Aster paused for a short moment before Elliot gave off a defeated sigh. "I'll check the fucking closets."
Sure enough, Elliot shortly found Rose and Violet perched atop a shelf, their paws all over each other's bodies as they made the hell out. Elliot blankly watched for a couple seconds before clearing his throat, startling them both and causing Rose to fall to the ground, landing on her tip-toes.
"I'm lucky you weren't doing... anything worse," Elliot blushed, "But you still technically followed the rules, so.. eh. That being said, you wanna talk about the new ship I'm planning?"
"...You can build what?"
"I mean, I am a creation god," Elliot said, "Constructs come easy to me."
there was a pause.
"Why didn't you just make a new one immediately after the first one crashed?"
"I forgot."

She then returns to Oracle's flagship to see some dead Grunts and Chargers, as well as a few dead ARKS operatives.
Matoi runs up to Runlina, as if to give her some news.
"Runlina!"
"Matoi!"
Runlina hugs her.
"Did those bastards manage to hurt you?"
"No, I'm fine. I'm actually impressed they managed to make it this far."
"That's good. I almost got eaten by Double again, but thanks to this cat called Elliot, here I am, still alive and well."
"Thank goodness!'
Western Thanalan, Hydaelyn
James and his army chat about what this planet is like.
"Amazing...A lot of the creatures on this planet could make for wonderful synths."
"It's quite unreal."
Toga is simply more interested in becoming them instead, wanting to try out foreign creature blood instead of human blood.
"Heeeeey. Can we stop somewhere? I wanna become a toad!"
"For fuck's sake, no. You're only using that thing on this outbreak leader called Raubhan. Besides, Overwatch forbids it anyway."

"Hey, Billy, Just givin' you a status report," Elliot said over the phone."Ball's been stolen. Can't go anywhere near the person responsible. Don't want to. ...Yeah, she's a sadist with empathic abilities. Yeah, she made me fall in love with her after beating me the ground. The effects wore off, don't worry. I'm just... I'm just scared they'll come back when I'll see her again. She's fucking scary. I wonder if she can make me... never mind. The point is, I... I need help taking it back. Don't worry! I'll be at the back helping with strategy specifically working to minimize the casualties. The less contact I have with Vixen, the better. ...So, see you then?"
Elliot chuckled before closing the voice recording. taking his phone and putting it in his hammerspace, he proceeds to walk to the front of Aster's room.
"Hey, I'll be in my room if you need me, okay?" he said.
"O-okay," Aster replied.

"What? They had the audacity to do this?! I’m sorry but one of them had a Vague Age! It’s not entirely my fault! Great…"
"Hey Tabby,I got some bad-"
"Oh,you’ve already read it. I know that sucks but you should try working on something else on the other hand."
"I know but I need all the chances I can get just so I get a HOFer and participate in another battle royale! I heard about some underground sims so maybe I can get dangerous and participate in those."
"Surely they’re the opposite of peace making as I can surely tear them apart easily."

After what seems to be a long, excruciating wait, the season finally begins. 6k1 wonders if an intern at the Control Room messed up big time, but that doesn't matter anymore.
She makes another tally to the Snow Death Counter when Dr. Tennelli kills him before he could finish his speech.
"I bet Power's own mom's fuming at this... she just broke the Hippocratic Oath!"
Meanwhile, Mrs. Li receives a letter with a mission: to survive the Hunger Games. She goes off and looks for an article to write for the science magazine she's working for, then complains about Blinky, Serris, and Darth Maul for driving her to drink. As for Dr. Tennelli, she gives L3-37 some chocolate milk for boosting her server.
"Wonder if they'll do just as well as Mr. Ramon..."

"Ugh,fine. You are a personified version of an alt Tabby's shadow I made. The collapse of the OG Timeline mutated my body and thus I gained new powers such as giving life to such things. I was very lonely and looking for love at that time so I made you the way you are now. You’re wondering why you possess the same psychic powers as her? Well, now you do. Now, I have other things to do, now scoot."

She leaves the room.
Akumo goes back and smirks while looking outside a window.
"I’ll revise my plan again. Now once she dies for real,I can finally die happily and not live this burden. I don’t even care anymore If I live after she’s defeated for good,I don’t have a purpose to live afterwards so what’s the point? I’ll make sure she’s coming with me to Hell."

???'s Legion's spy cameras detected Metallix and recorded him. 5 particular villains at ???'s place whose names were Jathar, Villainous, Deathrog, Surai, and Glocken (They were an Alien Hipporito, a Temperor, a Deathre, a Mefilas and a Groza) were seeing him and analyzing his power. They were the Darkness Five, an infamous alien alliance that once served the malevolent Ultraman Belial.
Villainous: How curious... This creature is quite different from the usual ones we've seen.
Jathar: Curious indeed. I'll be keeping an eye on it... It's got terrifying power.
Deathrog: It is also a matter of being careful.
Glocken: That way, we can see how he can help in our plans
Surai: But for now, let's just watch and analyze the threat level of the Nominators and other beings we have yet to watch in full action... The Legion's War was enough for us to gauge the threat level of some Nominators and beings... But most of the others are still out there and capable of being pestilences to us if we don't know how powerful they really are.
Villainous: Fair enough, let's watch this spectacle of a Season in the meantime. It does look funny.
Glocken: Heh yeah, like watching that torture session, oh how I miss Master Belial at times.

6k1 rolls her eyes when Mrs. Li is thrown down and rolled up into a snowman by Sarge while Dr. Tennelli is killed by Akiyama and his allies while they're obscured. She simply hopes that Wanda and Ralphie are okay, if they're watching this season back home.
For now, she has to get ready for the party, so she goes to her sleeping quarters to pick her outfit. The invites haven't been sent out yet, but it doesn't hurt to be prepared.

Bale began writing the invitation letters for his replacements crew, and a few people involved in the War Against the legion.
Bale: So... Jamie, Ryuzaki, Lazuli, Charlie, Alastor, Pythor, Ultraseven, Zoffy, Amethyst and Ryutaros... Hope they can all make it.
He then finished writing them and stored them for later use. He then prepared to turn on the TV on his room before being interrupted by MD.
MD: Heyhey Bale, wanna see a magic trick?
Bale: Eh sure.
Bale was eating a bad of nacho chips. MD then proceeded with his trick, which had MD tear off his head, which didn't do much as he was a plushie and did not feel physical pain.
MD: This is only the first part!
He then threw a bit of fluff towards Bale's head blinding him while he stole his chips while imitating Daffy Duck's signature laugh and running off into the distance.
MD: So sorry, Bale. I'm just a crazy darn fool plushie.
Bale the removed the fluff from his face and sighed.
Bale: Goddammit, I should've seen that coming.

Kirby is loitering near the Spacepod, when suddenly Dedede appears.
"Hey, Kirby! I found evidence that the staff of that cafe have disappeared!"
Kirby then agrees to help them. He then calls Ribbon.
"What is it, Kirby?"
Dedede then explains.
"Well, why not?"
Kirby then gets his wand in the Spacepod, and leaves with the others.

6k1 checks herself in the mirror. She decided to go with a casual look this time: a violet short-sleeved shirt with Twilight's cutie mark on it, the blue hoodie that Sans gave to her as a Christmas gift, a pair of comfortable jeans, and bright blue sneakers with yellow streaks on them. She even managed to fit her Exoskeleton under her clothes, and she cloaked it so it wouldn't detract from her look.
She goes back to her office and continues watching, wondering who the host of the show Blinky attended was.
Power's Home
While watching the season as always, Power goes through her wardrobe and ponders over what to wear for the party. Ichi has given her so many options to choose from, it'd probably take her forever! But whatever outfit she wears to the party, she's gonna be the adorable, nerdy little belle of the ball.

"Well, the season went by really fast despite the delay. Too bad I can't participate but I wish them the best of luck. I was expecting Quiche to get far but died at the last minute,that's the fate of most of my tributes. Can't believe a little babysitter won the game..."
"Anyway,Pecan. Let's prepare for the party. I got some formal wear that I need to iron that is different from what we wore last Nominator Party. That tux-dress is covered in my nightmare fuel-infected vomit. Still,we're going to see everyone again for a long time and it better not end in disaster like the last two. Seriously, what is it with Villains and Nightmare Fuel at parties like this?"
"Maybe they liked to strike at our happiest moment. That's a theory! The parties I been to were as surreal as those."
"Yeah,I'm taking Parry, you, and Ichigo with me. Go tell them that.I got to admit, a lot of things here in Panem make no other sense!"
"Very true! Let me go contact them. You're wearing a tux this time, right?"

Eredars notices his tablet beeping like crazy. The words "COMBINE INVASION ALERT" are shown in large, red letters.
"Holy shit, already!?!"
He then switches the camera to the Cornucopia and relaxes once he realizes Beta simply nominated the Cremator and Guard.
"Oh, thank god. Just a false alarm..."

Faster than she could say, "when's the next episode?" the season ends in a flash. 6k1 takes note of the inconsistent schedule and pacing of the seasons, especially this one, and also notes that the base detonation that the Millionaire's Bane did is officially classified as a "natural death" due to it technically forfeiting the multiple kills it made because it died in the explosion. The Gamemakers are still using the outdated and faulty tally, and she hopes that they fix it come the Simulator.
6k1 notifies her tributes that they'll be meeting at the Conference Room, as always, but she promises to make it quick so they won't be late for the party. She does the usual security and inventory check, but realizes something else.
"Has it been... almost four Earth Prime years since this madness began?!"
In celebration of the OT Anniversary, she quickly writes to her very first Podium Finisher, Fluttershy, just that, and requests the Tribute Research Department to withdraw her very first Mass Murderer, Piplup, from the Pokémon Storage System. 6k1 reminisces how Fluttershy fell in love with Nappa in Season 11, only to kill herself after teaming up with him to kill Kars and Jason Brody. Nappa won the season for her, however, so it was bittersweet, at least.
As for Piplup, being the most murderous in Season 26 by just killing i-no and Elizabeth in a three-way fight isn't impressive by today's standards, but back then, the Phantom Tributes slaughtered majority of the cast in two separate Arena Events, causing it to end quickly. Not that it mattered, though, since it was still a Mass Murderer nonetheless.
6k1 suddenly feels something warm and fuzzy brush against her leg.
"Mommy? Can I come with you to the party?"
"I'm sorry, but you just might cause a ruckus there!"
"Pleeease? I'm also scared for Fluttershy..."
6k1 strokes Mimi's fur and sighs.
"Fiiine, but you gotta promise me not to run away from me or eat everything in sight, okay?"
"I'll try..."
6k1 puts her on her leash and goes up to the conference room with her, awaiting her beloved guests.
Power's Home
After finishing the season, Power finally picks her outfit: her tux! She excitedly calls Ichi to tell him about the party.
"Rarity, are you okay? We gotta get you and your friends outta here soon!"

"Heh, you prolly should've worn the Snoke robe for a real power move, know what I'm sayin'? Anywho, the party's at Bale's place, yes?"

"Wait a second. It's already over?" Scipion exclaimed. The Zoroark growled when seeing the results. Botwoon just had to have the fourth place's curse...
Speaking of four... Didn't the OG!Games started four Earth Prime years ago? He knew he wasn't even born back then since it was a different timeline but still...
The went to his personnal platform and took a sheet of paper about his past self's tributes.
"...So Dimentio was my first podium finisher... What exactly happened to him since that day? Last time I checked he was with the Legion. Guess he've got purged."
"Yes and no, Foxy fox!" Dimentio said, appearing before the Zoroark who angrily growled at him.
"Why the mad reaction? The Legion is gone now! To be fair, I found it more lame than ever ever since good old Valecor took some "vacations" in the Voidlands. Oh! Speaking of the devil..."
"Wait... Is that him? Nah, he looks different." Scipion wondered upon seeing the current tributes's list.
"Right answer! This is but a tiny little clone I made, courtesy of yours truly."
"That explains how shitty and pathetic he looks. Anyways what do you want? Be quick before I lose my temper."
"Impatient as always, I see! In celebration of the 4th anniversary of the Hunger Games and since my counterpart was nominated by your past-self, I would ask you if you could nominate 2 good friends of mine."
"Huh... Lemme guess. Jevil and Marx?"
"Alas! Yes and no. Marx is a bit too... round to my taste, like a red ball in a blue pool, it doesn't looks well. Instead, I propose Jevil and Gorebrand. Two fellow jesters! With their little scythes." Dimentio announced dramatically
Scipion sat down, annoyed by Dimentio's visit.
