Just nearby this so called strange creature is a definite spider. Well. An anthropomorphic spider.
Well, a specific kind of anthropomorphic spider.
Well, point is, he's there but he doesn't seem to pay anybody attention. He sits there, one of his eight eyes cut to shit (you don't notice this stuff when you have seven spares) and in a pretty cheap looking suit and hat.

A small, purple winged demon in a top hat and bow tie is also flying around nearby.

(A short fish-like creature (cyan and with four limbs) climbs in through a hole in the fence and lands on the ground with a splat. He sits up on his back end and begins eating a trash can (contents and all) while observing the antics of the various monsters in the courtyard, not expecting to be spoken to.)
"Don't worry, Lucian, we'll make it through this."
The shaggy creature notices the spider and the demon first. Taking a deep breath, she starts walking closer to them, trying to decide which one to greet first.
I haven't played the particular game that Tango is from, but still... robo kitty. :D

A seemingly normal(?) young woman with long white hair and a school uniform that conceals most of her body is standing by the fence where the fishlike creature plops in. She observes him curiously, not saying a word.

"... Oh no, they're coming this way." The spider mumbles, pulling out a cigarette and taking a long drag, seeming to be already lit.

Meanwhike in a nearby pond, something stirs. A stalked eye slowly emerges from the depths and watches the ceremony.

Looking for someone to talk to, the demon approaches the shaggy creature, flapping his wings.
"Uh, hey there!" he says with an awkward grin.
A great Mascot Mook.The creature smiles and breathes a sigh of relief. She's glad that the demon started the conversation for her. 
"Ah... hello! Nice to meet you. I'm Alice."

A small green slime slowly crawls along the ground, seemingly minding its own business.
If I don't clash, I don't change. The world ends at my borders, and the best moments slip away.
Not stupid or expendable.
(A purple creature with round ears, blue hair, even bluer eyes, and a golden dress with pants and shoes rushes in. She had accidentally slept in a bit longer.)
"Hi, sorry I'm late..."

The instant that Alice comes into contact with the little blob, there should be a sudden, warm, fuzzy sensation in her head.

The magical island of Graveholm, hidden from human eyes, is home to all sorts of creatures. Ghosts, vampires, dragons, werewolves, and many more creatures of myth live here to hide from humans, only leaving to scare humans or whatever else they do. Whatever the creature, they don't have a very good relationship with humans...
Until now. One of the monsters has decided to lead the monsters in integrating into human society. To do that, they need to learn human things, in a human way. Monster school is about to begin.
It's orientation day at Cardalu's School for Monsters to Mesh with Man. All the teachers and students are gathered in the courtyard, waiting for Principal Count Cardalu to make his opening speech. But for now, they're just mingling.
A strange creature roams around by herself. She's covered in shaggy dark gray fur, with no visible feet. For arms, she has four tentacles. She's slinking around the courtyard silently, wondering who she can talk to...
