Shows how out of touch they are.
Though personally I never got into nostalgia over the really old and arguably outdated stuff. The Reeves movies don't even have a good Lex Luthor.
It's why I don't jive with the Lynda Carter nostalgia in the Wonder Woman movies. I want more stuff from Diana's mythology adapted, characters like Artemis and the Wonder Girls or villains like Angle Man or Silver Swan.
Which we won't get with Lynda Carter wanking cause none of that stuff exists in her show.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."" This movie also considers Keaton and Clooney's Batmen to be different people despite the fact that they're supposed to be the same guy"
That one is a bit more understandable. Schumacher's Batman flicks already had completely different tone, takes on Gotham, did not really follow up things from Batman returns like Selina being alive, etc. It probably should have just been a flat-out reboot back then. So making them being separate official here works.

The First manRogue One set a really bad precedent with their CG-Peter Cushing, huh?
I mean, the eventual culmination here is having these CG dead actors star in their own movies instead of hiring new actors, if this practice goes unchecked.

Feels more like a Franchise Original Sin of sorts.
You can't kill art. It's ghoulish to treat people, who lived and dreamed and died, like IP keys to be jangled in front of the audience for easy attention. I sincerely hope the Flash bombs, there's no saving this soulless slop.
The worst thing about rogue one. Is that Guy Henry already looks like Peter Cushing. Their was no need for the cgi at all.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."This practice has antecedents older than Rogue One, to be fair. Tom Hanks acted with President Kennedy and other historical figures in Forrest Gump.
And in Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, the baddie is played by stock footage of Laurence Olivier edited into a Huge Holographic Head. Which foreshadows a pretty clever twist that the in-universe character is also long dead, but the hologram AI and other machines he left behind are still carrying out his evil plan.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."With the Flash. It's weird because all I have from professional critics is praise but bashing from fans online. Usually with DC it is either the reverse or they agree.

Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadI mean, it currently has a 69% rating on RT, so it's leaning more towards mixed than being widely praised.
And yes, it is a bit ironic a 69% rating is not considered nice.

Oh okay last I looked it 72 to I believe. Still it's strange that it is getting praised at all.
Fan-Preferred Couple cleanup threadBTW that cameo CGI Superman is up on youtube for anyone curious.

Mileena MadnessI had a little bit of faith for this movie. That got nuked hard by what we're discussing right now.
It's been 3000 years…I'm pretty sure the resurrection by deepfake had leaked well before the footage did.
I mean, it’s tacky regardless, but it’s only SUPER dreadful to me if they didn’t get the family’s permission.
Admittedly I’m not seeing it anyway because of Miller and because it just sounds dull.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."This could have been seen from miles away. The entire film and television industry pounced on the multiversal gimmick as soon as Into the Spider-Verse became a hit. But while Into the Spider-Verse used multiversal archetypes and logic to sell itself, its followers basically dug up their grandparents, because according to Hollywood the only childhoods that matter are the ones that came before 1985.
I think NWH does the Multiverse better than Flash's attempt... The George Cameo thing just sounds so silly is Flash in the Batman and Robin verse?

Mileena MadnessNGL I Do think it would be interesting seeing Clooney in the role again just to see how he would be without terrible writing. But not in this film
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I'm seeing the movie tomorrow. I'll tell you guys what I think.
Regarding the CG Christopher Reeve... er, this may be an unpopular take, but as long as they have his family's permission, I don't really have a problem with it. If I was an actor and people loved me so much, they wanted to keep seeing me in movies even after I died, I'd probably be touched.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I'm going to see this as a "surprise" gift because my parents and friends DID NOT know about Ezra Miller and their antics.
Can't exactly back out, since I was planning on skipping this but now I have to.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I mean you could tell them Miller's a sexpest, I'm sure they'd understand. Then sneak into Elemental or Transformers or something.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Just got out of the movie with them.
I did not like this movie. 4/10.
What the actual hell was that?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Any spoilers ?
Also yes that seems to be the consensus. Critics seem to like it but fans really don't......

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Blargh, I was so disappointed with Supergirl’s role.
Props to her actress but holy shit, they did not give her much to work with.
The return of Michael Keaton felt oddly soulless.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Other Barry was a right pain in the arse. Going by his role in the story, his annoying behaviour was obviously intentional, but it still left me thinking "they turned down Wally West for this?".
Sasha Calle was likable. Too bad she can't be used in the upcoming reboot.
Add another time where they failed to read the friggin' room.
Wake me up at your own risk.
