Jae/Wren – Forest (Squad 1)

As the fireball approached, Wren simply timed her 'port—dematerializing seconds before it would impact and manifesting herself again a short distance away. She didn't dare approach yet though; she seemed intelligent enough to wait for an opening.

Jae, meanwhile, didn't have the blessing of teleportation, and so instead had to settle for a short hop that shot him upwards a good twelve feet from the ground. He managed to land quite delicately on one foot, his hands having returned to his pockets.

“Elemental powers. Versatile, but easily counterable. Unfortunately I don't have anything that can do that, so bear with me for a moment...”

He stayed there for perhaps a beat longer, before suddenly bursting forward in a blur of speed—aiming to grab at Amalgamate's arm and lock it in a tight grasp. Regardless of his success, his appearance seemed to shift for the briefest of moments as he rushed towards him: his skin having become mottled and disgustingly veiny and his eyes having changed into yellowish, reptilian slits. The arm he was aiming to grab at Amalgamate's wrist with had also bloated into a grotesque, inhuman visage, but the rest of him barring that remained unnaturally pristine and perfect.

It was a very jarring contrast, even if it was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it timeframe.

Wren, meanwhile, was starting to encircle—studying intently for any slipups or weaknesses the villain might show.

Shane

Shane managed to dodge the burning hot magma as he considered the facts of this foe - it seemed he was always shifting between forms, and there was a human in there. Maybe he could end this if he targeted the human between shifts...

Shane decided to try something else then, and repeatedly sent blasts of ice at Amalgamate.

He knew that when magma cooled it became far less deadly, so he went forward with trying to forcefully cool his opponent down.

Xenocide - Terrans

Xenocide promptly looked down at his hand gripped by Dante for a moment, and then looked back at Dante. He then promptly raised his energy cannon and took aim right at Dante's central mass, "...We'll see about that, won't we? I'm proud to say I've ALWAYS found a way to hurt my opponents."

He then fired a tremendous energy blast right at the middle of Fatuo Dante.

Squad 1

"You know, I am tired of dealing with heat" Sam said, jumping forward and aiming a particularly freezing blast to the magma man "And it's kind of a cliche after this point"

His mind flashed through those trips to the Abyss with his father, pushing himself further than ever, to keep cold in that situation.

While he felt guilty about not visiting Ellie and Mikael, the only thing he could do was to show he managed to survive in this situation.

"Cool him off, then smash" Followed the freezing with a giant mallet.

Iridium Wonders

Ryuu's senses acted up as he moved, barely dodging the blasts, the buzzing making him react just before he shot, but the heat wasn't pleasant.

"Your aim sucks, loser" He yelled at him, as he put a shot to the head.

But looking at the guy attacking Sally, he aimed two air blades to his back, really wanting to hurt him. No one attacked Sally on his watch, not without him having anything to say.

Iridium Wonders – The Forest

What?! Why aren't the flames burning his hand? Did he miscalculate something?

He scowled at Xenocide. He needed to do something!

Fatuo Dante tried to make the flames that engulfed the villain's hand even hotter, but before he would even dare to do that, he got shot in the abdomen.

The force of the blast violently launched him towards the ground, knocking the Fatuo Mask off his face and making him land in a painful way, creating a small crater upon impact.

Dante now was in a...not pretty situation.

He was pretty much out cold. His jester hat was dirty and it was placed an odd position. His hair was uneven. His costume (around the abdomen, where he was shot) was pretty much gone, revealing the bleeding wound. There were some residues of the blast, which were starting to fade away in the form of steam. There was also some blood flowing down his mouth.

You might know everything I'm going to do...but that's not going to help you, since I KNOW EVERYTHING YOU'RE GOING TO DO! STRANGE, ISN'T IT?

Forest - Squad 1 - Ellie

Ellie was moving even as Amalgamate raised his hand, jumping in front of his shot to block it, wings and arms outstretched. Magma struck her, pushed her back a foot, but she stayed standing.

A human would have boiled, but to Ellie it was only a discomfort. In fact, it reminded her of the heat of her home.

Brushing the lava off of her, she drew out a handful of coins from her pocket in the same motion.

"Hey, jackass!" She called, grinning. "Catch!"

She flicked her wrist, crackling with electricity, and flung the coins. There was a series of sharp 'cracks' as the coins shot out of her hand like bullets, leaving the faint smell of ozone.

Forest - Squad 3 - Mikael

Mikael slowed and dropped his blades so as to not instantly kill the werewolf that intercepted him, grabbing the furry creature and tossing it aside.

Taking to the air to avoid the werewolf horde, he debated how to best incapacitate them when Chibuzo beat him to the punch. That was one threat dealt with, at least, but Renegade still had to go down.

Summoning a rifle to his hand, he leveled it at Renegade, and drew on the bolt he still carried on his locket chain, pulling at the fragment of Mahvash's aura within. "Block this." He spat, and fired.

The bullet that shot towards Renegade's chest was darker than vantablack, and away the very air it touched as it moved. Renegade would have a small fraction of a second to realize this before it struck him.

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?

Forest

Renegade was rather enjoying the chaos, even if his doggies got utterly destroyed it wouldn't really matter. This was all about testing the waters of these heroes to be, trying to decide on who would be the special someone that he would spend the rest of his life making miserable. However his fun was interrupted when one of the 'heroes' pulled out a gun and fired on him. "Right," he called forth a wall of rocks, but the shot ate through them like they weren't there. His smile dipped as he put a number of psychic barriers up, only for them to be eaten through just as quickly. "Shit!" he threw forward his arm and coated it with his own malice born energy, static noise clashing against vantablack shadow.

But his guard was hasty and imperfect, and it punched through. Thankfully his reaction was at the speed of thought, and the moment the bullet broke skin he created a blade of pure mental energy, sharper then any possible sword and cut his hand off. "F@#$" he roared and the ground around the area exploded up as if thousands of mines had gone off around him. It was sheer mental power that kept him from blacking out when he applied his pyrokinesis to the area, glaring toward Mikael. "Oh, oh oohohhohohohohoho," Renegade pinched the space between himself and Mikael to appear in front of him, locking him in a telekinetic hold. "Real heroic, trying to murder someone. I came here to test the waters and measure you out. But now, now I have to be serious."

Your brain is a very beautiful place to be Renegade spoke directly into his mind and flashed a grin as his monstrous appearance took hold. Worm Eater 5% Renegade opened his mouth and slowly drew a line of static from Mikael's mouth, drinking in and savouring the flavor of what he was stealing.

Squad 3-Forest

Martin was snapped out of the pressure held on him when Renegade took the hit, focusing on the battlefield only to see Mikael being held by the attack. "Hey, Renegade!" his call got the villains attention, but before he could react Martin leapt and drove his fist into his face, sending the villain rolling on the ground. "Are you okay?" he turned to Mikael, really hoping against hope that he wouldn't have to fight a crazed version of his friend.

Renegade-Forest

"This day keeps getting more," Renegade coughed out a blue marble. "Difficult," he slowly stood, pocketing the marble and looking around at the heroes. "None of you were exactly what I was wanting. Just jumped up killers. Not even one of you gave any option for surrender, maybe I am here against my will, ever think of that?" he sighed dramatically and used his still existing hand to rip open a fold in space, letting out more rage infused Nazi's and Gaea employees that he had been keeping in a warehouse. Most looked half dead from starvation, but were dangerous enough as people.

"When in doubt, more toys."

The Forest - Amalgamate

Oh. These kids were tricky.

For a moment, he was incredibly curious as to why his super heated skin wasn't melting this kids attempt to grab at him. Then, it clicked to him that he wasn't feel so hot himself, likely a result of the two blatant ice users pumping everything they had into him.

Sneaky, sneaky kids, they were.

Ptchew. Ptchew. His already slowly freezing body was suddenly peppered with what felt like bullets, when in reality the coins were thrown with such force that they may as well have been bullets. The force all but struck through the other side of his arm and it came apart with a loud CRUNCH, shattering like so many pieces of glass on cement.

And then, he looked up as the massive mallet came down.

Oh. These kids are gonna be fun.

WHAM!

The mallet came down with intense force, enough to indent the ground and all but shatter the villain, fragments of frozen solid magma bits flinging all over the battlefield like a frag grenade.

And all was still.

Mason Squad 1

"Wow..." The new hero said, as he slowly approached with a look of awe in his eyes. Slowly, that turned into a grin. "You guys that was...that was incredible! That was a villain, an honest to goodness villain and you-You just took him down! You guys were like a well oiled machine!"

He was all but gushing as he ran over to them, the excitement bright in his eyes. "If that's what it's gonna be like being in this squad, I can't wait! You guys are incredible!"

Shane - Squad 1

"Everyone, keep sharp, we haven't won till we've got him down for the count."

Shane shouted outloud, he was glad Sammy brought his full game today, but Shane didn't survive a Nazi Army invasion by being lackadaisical. And he knew just seeing the guy crumble like that it was most likely not over.

He scanned his surroundings, changing his body enough so he could detect any minute changes in smell.

Yoko leaving puts a huge fucking hole in my plans for these kinds of engagements. I never quite realized how lovely it was for her to be able to heal people up.

Xenocide - Terrans

The dragons breath washed over Xenocide as he took in the sight of Dante, down on the ground, a huge hole blasted right through his stomach - the fire again barely gave the monster pause. The cruel being promptly let out a keening cackle as he saw this, "Ohh look at that! I think I see his intestines! Oh wait, they're pretty charred."

He then promptly took one more shot with his energy cannon at the prone Dante.

He then turned and looked at Ryuu with a sinister gleam in his eye, advancing on him while the vile flames around them roared high.

"You're next, dragon." He then took off with a sudden burst of speed, propelled by jets of energy, launching a full arm lariat strike right at Ryuu's neck.

“Stop talkings. Not dead. Wren know. Bad things not die that quick. Kill more. Wait. Could kill us, yes?” Wren stated with somewhat of a reprimanding tone, glancing back at them for a moment before diverting her attention back to the shards of magma and hissing threateningly. “No bleeding. Wren not like no bleeding.”

“Hmph. He shattered,” Jae observed meanwhile, contemplating his hands for a moment before clearing his throat and letting his enhancements recede away. “Disappointing. I'd have expected something more from someone so versatile.”

His ignorance of Wren's warnings was blatant as it was dangerous. He'd let his guard down.

Squad 4-Vivian-Time To Say Hi!!

As the Suit came down, Viv scowled. They'd all just rushed in like idiots without a thought as to strategy, and she was the impulsive one? Oy vey. She checked her equipment as she climbed in and took off. Flying high over the battle, she spotted the "robot" fellow, then the weird static guy, then the guy Iuvem was fighting. Sensors said they were clearly nuts and fighting to kill. That's fine by me.

The Suit fairly buzzed with eagerness as she shot past the battle before dropping down and coming in low behind the bad guys. Her plan was simple: grab that Renegade guy from behind, then put her hands over his ears and blast her sonic emitters at full power. After that, she'd throw him into fire guy.

Peregrine Alastor (4)

With Jumping Bean still maintaining the scrying pool, it was easy to see that slowly and surely, Perry (with Buddy's help), was beginning to overpower Anton through sheer strength and power.

And then Evelyn fired her psionic laser.

Several things happened at once: Anton diverted the blast with an emerald, which also retained some of Evelyn's psionic energy, and fired off the energy as a weakened, yet still potent wave of force. Perry felt herself growing faint, and Buddy leaked out of her body—her five minutes of channeling him were over.

Needless the say, the wave of force connected, and Perry was knocked back to where Othus laid on the ground, coughing blood.

As she raised her bleeding head weakly to glare at the fuzzy image of a smugly approaching Anton, she thought to herself despairingly, but at last accepting her imminent demise: Is this how it ends? ...Ah, well. It's been a good run. At least I gave that bastard Anton a few scars...

Suddenly a dark aura descended over where she, Orthus, and Anton were, concealing them with a cloak of darkness from Jumping Bean's scrying. Time seemed to slow and Anton looked almost comical as he moved slowly through the cobalt blue half-light. A hooded figure with a scythe loomed over Perry—the Grim Reaper himself had chosen to arrive.

A reel of film unrolled from Perry's chest and before her own eyes, with the Grim Reaper reviewing every moment of her life before finally declaring, "Only those that accept death are ever able to master it. Peregrine Alastor, you are deemed thrice worthy for your strong back, willful spirit, and kind heart. Life to you, my child—at least for now. I await the day you take your place at my table." And he put a hand to her head to give her his blessing, and went on his way. Perry could see him briefly looking over in the direction of Jae before he left. Four jagged white stripes from where Grim Reaper's fingers were left on the side of Perry's face after he had blessed her.

The pall over the small scene lifted, and Anton continued walking towards Perry like nothing had happened. All the people back at the greenhouse would be able to see was a hooded figure flashing into view for one moment before Perry laboriously pushed herself up from the ground.

The red runes Anton had put on her glowed weakly, and literally peeled off her skin to disintegrate in the wind. Perry let out a loud howl in reaction to the wave of power that came rushing back to her, culminating in a bright green shockwave rejuvenating all her friends to at least look like the way they were in life, instead of being constantly tormented by their cause of death.

Anton was thrown back by the shockwave, landing ungracefully on his back and waving his Focus staff frantically in front of him to keep Perry's growling friends away with all the efficacy of a flyswatter being used to fight a dragon. "No...NO! This Cannot Be! I should have killed you when I had the chance! I was trying to do you a favor by cleansing you, goddammit!" he gibbered madly, still prone but trying to scramble away.

"Perry returns favor," Perry said coldly, before striding with a hunched back over to Anton with all the nonchalance he had shown before and kicking him in the chest with Rollo's help.

"NONONONONONONONONONONON—" Anton was still babbling crazily, before the kick connected. He was sent flying towards the trunk of a burnt tree, screaming all the while: "NAAAAAAAAAAARGH!"

Oddly enough, the gem mage shattered into many pieces of cheap quartz once he had made brutal contact with the tree trunk. The real Anton jerked out of his magical reverie on Xenocide's dropship, the crystals he had used to command his double shattering in his hands. He let out a roar of impotent fury as he clenched his hands until they bled before seeking medical attention for the wounds he'd sustained with his fight with Perry—in this aspect, he was no fool.

Perry snarled at the shattered double, before finally turning back around to check on Orthus. "Papa? Papa? Is okay. I fight hard. He gone away now, Papa. Please be okay," whimpered, shaking him.

"God damn it Dante. Every fucking time." She threw down the seed unfinished and it sprouted into a sundew the size of a Rottweiler. The sundew hucked a wad of acid into Xenocide's shot, dispersing the energy harmlessly in a burst of steam. Ever ran over snatching up Dante and moving back to the safety of the group.

Sundews

Ever's first sundew shook itself releases a plethora of seeds that grew to full size in seconds. The new batch of carnivores stood at attention waiting for orders as Ever ran back, Dante thrown over her shoulder like a sack. Ever stopped and pointed to the woods, sending them their orders. They uprooted themselves and dashed to the other classmates. Ever turned to her classmates and guestured at the remaining plants. "They will protect and obey you. Fifteen dews a person. They can have adhesive, acid and roots at their disposal. Careful, they spit. Go nuts."

Squad 1 - Mason

"I mean, all things considered, we should be worried...but I can't imagine he'll come back from that! You froze him alive and shattered him! It was grim, but I can't see anyone coming back from THAT!"

He surveyed the scene around them. The fragments didn't move. The air was silent, sans the sound of battle from off in the distance. He could only imagine that his classmates were having just as much a fun time as they were.

"EARTH."

He fiddled with the bracer on his sleeve, a little disappointed he didn't do anything this time around. He'd felt...pretty useless at the moment, but that's what happened when you were on a team of compotent super heroes!

"AIR."

"I think we should probably go and held everyone else. Just because this guy was easy, doesn't mean...they...all..." He blinked in surprise and pointed. "WATCH OUT!"

What could only be described as a sentient cyclone of sand had gathered and appeared behind Jae, massive claws on either side of a swirling torso and a pair of sunken indents to appear as eyes. A mouth grew and grew into a wicked grin, malicious, intense blood lust in its "eyes".

"RULE OF THUMB KIDS? UNLESS THERE'S A BODY, HE'S PROBABLY STILL KICKING." The words came as a loud, bitter wind, intent to strip the flesh from the bones...and all that intensity, all that hatred, blood-lust, malice, was all aimed directly at Jae.

The cyclone didn't last. For all intents and purposes the damage could have been done a plenty to those on the outside. Sand, as it's been known to do in a harsh enough environment, was the equivalent of flying glass in a strong enough gust. So, it took a special kind of sadistic interest to direct that burning, whirl whipping damage directly on the inside.

The sand forced its way into his mouth, his nose, any orifice on its head it could find, filling his internals with the granulated mix of rock and sediment. And then, when none of the cyclone remained?

It kicked.

With all the force that Amalgamate could muster, once there was enough inside, he kicked all the force he could up, so on the inside of the youth was the equivalent of an angry, sentient blender, effectively sandblasting him from the inside out with the intent to cause as much damage as he could, directly in view of the other students.

And all the while, his loud, echoing cackle rang out, mockingly.

Is it selfish that I'm happy as we pass the setting sun?

Jae/Wren – Forest (Squad 1)

Jae might've had something interesting to say if he wasn't convulsing.

Flesh tore from his bones as he foamed at the mouth, gurgling until he physically couldn't gurgle no more. A final, particularly squelch emanated from his utterly shredded form before it collapsed into a shapeless pile of gristle and organs—the odd twitch the only sign of life.

Nerve endings lay bundled in a strange pile, before they too twitched and began to move. They slowly and clumsily weaved through the rest of Jae's remains and hooked themselves into as many vital organs as possible; drawing them into what now barely constituted as his skull.

One reptilian eye lolled about lifelessly as vein-covered, spiderlike limbs sprouted from his decapitated neck. The rest of his nigh-liquefied body was left behind as it scuttled off, its patchwork features dropping off as the head above the makeshift escape procedure swayed from lift to right. It didn't stop. It simply kept on going.

With what appeared to be grey matter leaking out behind him, it was uncertain if he'd ever stop.

Wren—upon seeing this—trembled in a manner akin to Zach whenever he had undergone one of his episodes, and an inhuman scream erupted from her throat. In a mixture of blind fury and animalistic instinct, she rapidly teleported to the cyclone—a particularly violent 'port manifesting an electrical discharge about her as she began to unzip herself.

She paused only to look back at Ellie.

“Wren feed Mama.”

Her head and chest peeled open sideways, and

The Forest

For a moment, there didn't seem to be any signs of life. Not a beat of the heart, nor a puff of the chest. Not so much as a single breath from Orthus.

Until his briefly shot up and gasped for air like a fish before falling back to the ground with a thud.

Whether it was a miracle or simply due to his considerable regeneration capabilities, Orthus wasn't dead just yet. With any luck, he would still have a very long life to come.

"Perry? Daughter? What... doing here? Thought I told you... stay safe..." His voice was groggy and weak, though it was getting stronger and clearer by the second. His regenerative abilities were starting to work on overdrive, though it would take a moment for him to become fully aware of his surroundings.

Perry (4)

"Should be quiet, Papa," Perry chided gently, hefting Orthus over her shoulder with Rollo's strength. "You is hurt. I kicked can of bad guy. Not dead, would have felt. Curse lifted. I stronger now."

And she was indeed half bent-over, but she began to carefully carry Orthus back to the school with as much speed as she could manage.

Suddenly, she felt a beacon of power in the vague direction of her dorm, where she left Geistcutter. It could be felt thrumming for some while, as if stretching after a long period of confinement. Coincidentally, it announced to all and sundry that could sense it that it had awakened yet again, all over the many planes of reality.

That certainly wouldn't turn out to be disastrous.

Mistress.    whispered a voice in her mind. It sounded oddly familiar.    Are you currently in need of assistance?

Perry thought "No, not right now," at Geistcutter and the presence of the weapon fell quiescent in her mind, though she could still feel it if she "reached" for it.

The world was harder to describe now that she had gotten her previous powers back again. Perry could sense more than she used to be able to, and sometimes she thought she saw something out of the corner of her eyes while walking to the infirmary...

Dante – The "End"?

     The Grief

"God damn it Dante. Every fucking time."

What...what is this?   , Dante was sitting in a strange place, made only of watercolored colors of various shades and tones,    Did I...die?   , he stood up and started walking forwards.

He then heard Ever's quote. He frowned.

He eventually found a swing. The swing's frame was red. Its ropes were white, and its seat was purple.

He sat on it and started swinging, in a slow and sluggish way.

What does everyone think of me now? I am just a worthless, weak, foolish and annoying klutz, that always messed up, in their eyes?Who's occasionally called an "involuntary celibate" by the local meathead, and maybe several others?, he thought, looking depressed.

Several silhouettes appeared out of nowhere and circled the swing. The silhouettes seemed to resemble Class 1 in their entirety. They were displaying different, negative emotions. The silhouette resembling Iris squirmed in fear at him, reminding him of how scared its Real Life counterpart was of him after the Exam incident. The ones who looked like Martin and Mahvash had disapproving and disappointed frowns on their "faces", and were shaking their heads at him, the Mahvash-lookalike Face Palming too. It was no surprise to him. He remembers that fiasco very well. While it seemed that Martin was pretty much oblivious about it, Mahvash seemed to be a bit disappointed at him, even after apologizing to her before the Gaea attack. The doppleganger of Shane had a scowl on its face and it looked like it wanted to pounce on him at any second. Dante's "rivalry" with Shane started after the Exam incident. They were getting targeted by Gaea, and it partially was his fault. Mr. Calston hated him, because of his instability. He also would started to insult him.

A bigger silhouette emarged from above the other silhouettes. It resembled...his archnemesis...Dementius. "Dementius" pointed a clawed finger at him and let out a distorted cackle. The Class 1 silhouettes then also started laughing.

Dante, at this, started to get distressed. His swinging started to become stronger and stronger.

Those laughs became more and more unbearable.

...Pl̷ea̷s͝ę...   Dante was starting to tear up. The laughs continued to increase in intensity.

S̡̪̀͒͆̈̀̎ͭT̸͖̼̹̩ͨO̘̖̾́͑ͩ͗͡P̑̆!   , he let go of the swing.

     The Void

He was getting diagonally launched upwards...before plummetting into the watercolored void.

Then there was darkness.

     The Shift

In this darkness, there was Dante, in the same, miserable, pathetic state given to him by Xenocide a while ago.

He stayed there for eons, floating in the liquid darkness, lifeless. Until three humanoid figures approached him. One looked a certain demon, except it was shrouded in shadows. The other one was an androgynous wraith that was shrouded in veils. The final one was a Bishōnen that was shrouded in flashy clothing.

The trio lifted him up and carried him towards a pyramid-like temple. At its top there was a pond and ten glowing orbs of energy floated (in a circle) above it. The trio floated upwards, reaching the temple's pond, and slowly putting Dante in it.

After doing that, the three figures stared at the motionless Dante for a while, before the shadow started scowling.

Animus and Anima started ominously chanting. The floating circle of glowing orbs starting rotating, its movement becoming more erratic. Its rotation speed was tremendously increasing. The orbs' light was becoming more and more blinding. Dante's body was starting to float upwards.

At the end of the duo's Ominous Latin Chanting, Umbra concluded with:

Iridium Wonders - The Forest - The Rebirth

A strange spark of lavender electricity came out of Dante's exposed eye. It may have given Ever a small shock.

Saint University Greenhouse - Iridium Wonders (Earlier)

Mahvash had processed Flora's opening line, shrugged, and skipped out, vanishing without a word. Ever Green could teach whatever she didn't gleam from the textbook. And with some actual lively interest in her own work...

Saint University Greenhouse - Iridium Wonders (Missing the Opening)

Okay, EG and Roboctopus are pinning down the werewolves... oh, soulless werewolves. Dante is napping. Elaine is data not found. And Sally and Ryuu... Shaking her head, she finished off her drink and stuffed the glass in her purse to return later.

Okay, I spy... Resident Evil: Furry, The Mummy: FrankenElemental, Terminator: Probably better than Salvation, Lord of Warcraft, Planet Emo, and huh, Hawk again, probably here for Peregrine's b-day. She was the only one who didn't get a lick in on Parents' Day. And she's pals with that psychopomp. K'.

"You're new..." Mahvash said simply appearing as she did aside a plume of hard earth, high winds, and hard earth caked tendrils in high winds that had erupted in the tin man terminator's way while she planted her own feet firmly on the ground. The Guardians' MO was, after all, a highly efficient raid on a MacGuffin, not attacking the students. Plus, this bunch clearly weren't BSing about higher ideals.

"Fancy show you have here too." She did not really look at Dante sizzling on the ground or the sudden energy flow, but that fact was hard not to feel. "Tell me your name please."

Amalgamate - The Forest

Well, that was entirely fun. He watched the stunned, horrified looks on the others faces and it took everything in his power to not erupt into stereotypical villain cackles for a moment later. THAT threat was done. And frankly, he seemed to be the most annoying.

Now, for the demon-

The little harpie girl appeared in front of him. Well, if she wanted to die that quickly-

-and then she became teeth incarnate.

If it was possible for sand to look terrified, it was then.

"Holy FUCK-" Screamed the voice in just enough time to blow to the side and avoid whatever sweet, holy hell THAT was. He would have fought, but a combination of that...mixed with the intense burning sensation in his center point was starting to get to him.

Fuck! Was that longer than 10 minutes!? Fuck, fuck, fuck...fine. Next time...next time we'll finish this.

And then, as casual as a gust of wind...the Sand dissipated, off into the distance and through the trees.

Squad 1 - Mason

It was taking a lot of Mason's own heroic determination to not lose everything he had for lunch in the past two days. He held a hand over his stomach at the scene, and then everything with Wren...

He gulped down his slowly building horror and shook his head.

"What...what the hell was any of that...?" He asked, loud enough for his squad to hear.

Is it selfish that I'm happy as we pass the setting sun?

Shane - Squad 1

Shane was busy puking his guts out over the sheer brutality of what Amalgamate did to Jae, watching the unlikable sap literally expand and inhumanly lash around as Amalgamate blasted his insides to pieces...and then some of the freaking nervous system was left to crawl away.

It reminded Shane of that scene from The Thing.

And it wasn't done yet.

Wren proceeded to do...something.

Shane's mind kind of shut off when he saw it. Just...shut off.

And he was left wondering who the monsters really were. Were they the monsters for letting that...that kind of abomination show its Deadlights to whoever and whatever pissed it off, even if it was in retribution?

He was used to retribution, but not...not that.

"We..." Shane heaved one final time and saw the pile that had been his lunch on the ground, "...We won, right? Right?" And then he fell over, barely conscious.

Xenocide - Terrans

"Well, the plant girl runs off to repair the stomach ventilation on that boy, and now I've got actual heavy hitters to contend with..." He stopped his advance at Matten's intrusion, and her questioning. The enormous "robot" promptly began to chuckle, and then broke into maniacal, continuous laughter.

He then paused and stated, "You're...heh, actually the first of these eggheads who actually stopped and asked that question."

He then introduced himself by firing a continuous blast of white hot heat across the area, immediately blasting at Ever's Sundews.

"I'm called Xenocide. You may have heard of me. I got my start ohh...ten years ago. Vaporized most of my class, and found my way to this lovely suit of armor. Ever since then, I've decided to bring the burning bright future to this planet. A world...none of you are strong enough to survive."

"I've fought the professional heroes you love and admire, and more than a few times I've tortured, mutilated, and slain them. Delta Flight up in Canada was fun, since they were all friends. Made slowly killing them all VERY satisfying."

The fires burned, intense and deadly, spreading fast.

Iridium Wonders – The Forest

Energy sparks kept sizzling out of Dante's body and his masks. The energy inside him was growing. It was building. It was overflowing.

To the point it would become really surprising to some of the energy sensers. Does really a normal human like Dante have so much energy inside him?

Squad 3 – The Forest

Chibuzo's eye sockets "lighted up" when he saw Renegade sever his hand to defend himself from the bullet.

He sent out a mosquito to take some blood from him. It went inside his shadow. After a while it appeared from Renegade's shadow and went to suck some blood from his neck.

It would return into his shadow and teleport into Chibuzo's

If Renegade didn't notice the mosquito as it did as it was told to do, it would have successfully returned to Chibuzo. Chibuzo would then pull out a doll. He would open a hole in the doll, and he would make the mosquito vomit all of the stolen blood into the hole. Chibuzo would then close the hole with some stitches.

Squad 4 – The Forest – Vs X

It seemed that Iuvem was having the upper hand on X.

Until the villainous reptilian would start inhale some of the matter his body was made from.

AARGH!   , Chaos Mode Iuvem screamed, as he used his gravity powers to launch him towards a tree.

Heheheheheh...   , he crashed into the tree, ignoring the pain and breaking into laughter, [[evil:I can feel it, he slowly stood up and entended an arm towards some trees.

Two of trees would start to uproot themselves and get pulled towards his arm. With a surprising feat of strength, he managed to slowly lift up the trees. He started to fly upwards.

TAKE THIS!   , he threw the trees at Iuvem and the duo of Perry and Orthus.

Iuvem, with a flame-like Chaos projectile, burned the tree thrown towards him. But what will happen to Orthus and Perry?

Perry (4)

Perry saw the still-smoldering tree thrown at her by X and squeezed her eyes shut, fully expecting to be crushed since all her options were exhausted.

The air crackled.

A longsword made of bone came down like a bolt from the Heavens with an accompanying flash of light, embedding itself in the ground in front of Perry, and conveniently sundering the tree in two (pieces landing on either side).

   Mistress.    Geistcutter said.    Shall we?

Perry put Orthus down somewhere safe ("Papa, run.") and grasped Geistcutter's hilt to pull it out of the ground.

She charged towards X and Iuvem's location, fully intending to assist the golem made of Jupiter.

Wren – Forest (Squad 1)

“Wren feed Mama,” Wren helpfully explained, though there was less of a chipper tone to her voice. There was a noticeable edge that implied she knew exactly the extent of what she'd done this time. “Mama good to Wren. Mama not even feed and happy. Mama gigglings and clappings, yes. Wren laugh too, but Wren not know how. Wren fake laugh: ‘   “Ha ha ha!”’

Apparently Dante's voice had become one of her favourites. It wasn't a humorous laugh, though. Her face didn't change to one of amusement. It was oddly pensive, as if she was considering something she previously thought to be fundamental. But after a while, she turned back around—making sure Mother's mind-rending form had fully retreated back into her body.

“...Do I scare you?”

It was in the softest of whispers she spoke, as if afraid to be heard.

Squad 1 - Mason

"Oh, god yes, you terrify me."

Mason was not one to be blunt or dancing around the edges of the truth. Especially when it came to this. Whatever the genuine hell this was. And it was something that Mason only had SLIGHT knowledge in, given his current room set up.

That being said...

"But, I wouldn't be a hero if I ran away from every little thing that scared the hell out of me." He shrugged his shoulders casually. It was funny, trying to have a basic conversation with someone like Wren, even after everything that just happened, happened. One of his squad mates was practically dead, one was unconcious, one was...THAT thing...but, Mason was never one to brush away the mere concept of "terrifying, otherworldly creature with abilities that could spell the doom of the world." thing. He needed to, you know, keep the relative peace with the only 3 Squad Mates that were even left.

Shoot, one of those said otherworldly creatures was his roommate.

"As terrifying as that was, I think it was still pretty cool. Teleporting AND...well, whatever the hell that was? That's an impressive little selection you have! I'd love to see how you develop them." He smiled and held a hand out. "Let's be friends, yeah? Name's Mason. Pleased to...PROPERLY meet you."

Wren – Forest (Squad 1)

Wren blinked.

...Huh.

“You're stupid,” she responded in a tone rivalling in bluntness to his, and cautiously gripped his hand to shake it. She still had trouble with that; she got the dreadful feeling she could accidentally rip someone's arm out if she wasn't careful. “But... brave. Yes. I'm Wren.”

For a moment, she almost looked... intelligent. Not to say that she wasn't before—she had been improving, after all—but with her straight back and somewhat more grammatically sound sentences she came across jarringly developed.

Until that glint of awareness began to fade, and she slowly lowered herself back onto all fours in order to scratch behind her ear.

“Wren be friend. Wren get lots friends. Wren not know why, but... nice. Wren think Wren bad lots time. Bad and smelly and killings lots. But Mama nice. Ellie nice. Perry nice. Friends nice. Protect Wren, and Wren protect you, yes?”
