Network TV is characterized by long hours, fast production, (these shows get out ~a season per year), changing crew (different directors can bring out different performances) and lower budget/less financial incentive to make money or win awards (since they have advertising revenue). Which is why you would hear about Hollywood A-listers 'stooping' to do a television show back in the day, but the uptick in prestige series with similar filming schedules as a film has blurred that line somewhat.
The really sad part about that is that the network didn’t learn a thing.
KJ Apa (Archie Andrews from Riverdale) got into a car accident for the same reason.
‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’While covering Bad Bunny's current and upcoming outings, TIME Magazine is reporting that the El Muerto is "at a standstill", but also still in development.
“Maybe they’ll switch me out for Pedro Pascal,” Benito says jokingly.
So, Development Hell?
Wake me up at your own risk.Maybe Sony is reconsidering producing a vanity project starring a character no one has ever heard of in an already unpopular franchise.
I seriously don't know how Sony is fucking this up this badly. Like you and fox started the current superhero boom.
Having successfully reminded people how alright the first two spidey incarnations were why not capitalise on that?
On the way home from No Way Home, Andrew Garfield gets lost in the multiverse and teams up with Emma Stone: Spider-Gwen to get home.
Boom. Instant money.
That would be a much better idea than most of the Sony Marvel movies right there.
You and I remember Budapest very differentlyx5 I always dislike how often Miles Morales is left behind when news talk about "Marvel's first Latino superhero", since it can lead to the idea that African-Americans can't have Latin-American ancestry. Simply putting "Live-Action" first would've solved it.

oh hey how are you doing?Sony is kind of like zig zagging the quality of their movies. They seemed to have hit a home run when it came to Spider-Man: No Way Home, but then they messed up with Morbius. It makes me wonder if Sony actually has an overarching plan for the Sony Universe.

I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!They almost certainly do not, and if they did at any point, Morbius likely sunk it.
Spider-Man: No Way Home was also made with Marvel Studios, Morbius was not.
You and I remember Budapest very differentlyThey lucked out with Venom, at least on the money front. The next lightning strikes don't look so fortunate.
Wake me up at your own risk.Venom at least has his popularity, cool concept, and Tom Hardy's ridiculous acting going for him.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I wonder how things went so badly for the Sony Universe all of a sudden?
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Out of touch executives.
Have you seen their emails?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. What happened with their emails?
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Back in 2014, their emails got leaked from the Sony hacking and they really showed how out of touch the executives in charge were.
Hang on.
Here's one example regarding Amazing Spider-Man 2.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Amusingly on the last point, I wanna say towards the back-half of last decade one quirk Miles picked up was posting on social media as Spider-Man. (Maybe he's had it longer, I'm not sure when it would've started.)
It works with the whole "friendly neighborhood" thing when you think about it, though obviously he's doing it via more public avenues to keep everyone in good spirits than... whatever the execs there wanted with Garfield's Spidey and Snapchat.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaI remember during the leaks, one of the emails was from Kevin Feige giving his feedback on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and a lot of his critiques on the film were dead on.
Kraven will be rated R and will feature The Rhino. Trailer should be fully unveiled in summer.
No news on El Muerto or Madame Web.

Sorry for the double post, but today in "we didn't learn from our mistakes":
Here's the actual quote:
"I only transform, physically, in the final moments of the movie, so it's just a classic villain role. It had a really interesting, complex psychology and personal history to draw on, and the movie has a time jump in it, so the character changes a lot from the way he is in the beginning of the film. It was as much of an acting opportunity as any other film I've done."
To me, that sounds like he's actually the Big Bad of the movie instead of a Plot-Irrelevant Villain, but he turns into a rhino-man in the climax. Or something equally stupid, probably.
Yea, that sounds like his big bad guy upgrade for the final fight makes him The Rhino. I wonder if any other villains will show up as his muscle beforehand.
You and I remember Budapest very differentlyWow, there's Trailers Always Spoil, and then there's... spoiling the end of the movie in a fucking press release, I guess.
Sony, go home. You're drunk. Well, more than usual, anyway.

Tv acting can also be way more strenuous in terms of how much you have to put in. For example, Tom Welling's castmates like Rosenbaum had to beg the studio to give Tom a driver as because of how long the hours were. They were scared he'd fall asleep at the wheel.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."
