Poor Image: Zombie Apocalypse

The current pic on Zombie Apocalypse is on the "don't change the pic" list, but it's bugged me for a long time as the shot is too long to make it clear that they're zombies. Here's some suggestions that make it much more clear that the undead have taken over: 1◊, 2◊, 3◊, 4

Thoughts?

Yeah, 1.1 is way better than the current page image.

What does that mean? I like the devastation in current but the zombies are not clearly shown. 1.1 is better as a package.

The camera is so far away from the actors that their zombie effects are hardly visible...it just looks like a bunch of people in ragged clothes and smeary makeup.

Unless we crop out a part of the background (which is required to sell the "Apocalypse" part) I fail to see how it's an improvement over the current.

1.2 seems to be clearer in both showing the desolation and the zombies:

Honestly, the comic covers were the options I was leaning toward...cropping the titles off some of them might be awkward, but they get the point across a bit more clearly than 1.1.

Also, since this was formerly an admin keep page, I'm undecided on whether or not to leave it in that state.

The "admin keep" was for a different image, so I see no reason to keep this there. Unless you mean the current image is also too good to replace/remove?

No, this page was one of Eddie's "we're not changing the pic" cites back in the day, hence the admin notice that was on the page until this thread decision. I'm mainly wanting to know if anyone has an opinion on whether to leave the page in that state or take it off the list.
