Poor Image: Meaningful Echo

I know legibility is one of the major complaints about the current, so I wanted to ask if the image suggested◊ in the Image Suggestion Thread would have the same problem.

Previous thread. Unsure on this one.

Pull. The most legible lines aren't necessarily the most relevant ones, and the other lines are too hard to make out.

I definitely like the quality upgrade in that one.

Not feeling enough connection between the two scenes for the "meaningful" portion.

I like the upgraded Deltarune, but the main problem is you don't readily see the connection between Susie and King from that image alone. While it's true that they say the same sentence, you don't see the context behind the bottom image, nor do you see Susie's "reformed" self, which is after the echo itself.

I wouldn't mind keeping the current, but can we get a version without visable halftones in the background panels?

I still vote to pull the current.

Is there a better quality version of the current so we can arrange the panels vertically? It has potential.

Now that I've taken another look at the page, I'd be inclined to move the current to the Anime and Manga subpage and try to find something from the folders on the main page as the new pic.

There's two scenes in Steven Universe that'd be perfect for this, but I don't think it'd convert over well since it's animated.

What are you thinking of? "What's your excuse?" is more of a Mythology Gag since the pilot's not canon.

I was actually thinking of "Welcome to Earth." In "Back to the Barn", Garnet tells Peridot this after she angrily asks why everyone was praising Pearl when she lost their fight. Two episodes later in "The Answer", we find out Rose said the exact same thing to Garnet after she rapid-fire questioned why she wanted to do this and be her instead of being what Homeworld expected Rubies and Sapphires to be.

That's the one, but I agree with eroock on the quality of the scan, plus that corner of Red's panel is bent. I got these from a different scanlation.

I think either one of those could stand on their own for the main page (or for the Anime/Manga page if other suggestions come in), leaning towards Red.

Can anyone work some Photoshop magic and take those smeary grayish dots out of the speech bubbles?

But those lines refer to earlier scenes which renders it pretty non-illustrative.
