Watching the stream now, and I gotta say, I think she's my favourite character so far.
EDIT: New favourite parry in an NRS game!
EDIT 2: I'm also noticing the blood sticking to the characters more in 11 than in X, which I am super pleased with.

That Goro's Lair stage with his corpse definitely means Goro is dead, but how? Unless it's somehow supposed to be original timeline Goro.
Power of Thor! What do you mean how?
Current timeline Goro is alive minus his arms and I don't remember what happened to Goro in the original timeline before Armageddon. I recall Kung Lao's ending in MK 4 having him meet Goro, but I don't know what exactly happened to him there. The dead Goro on the stage has his arms and looks like he's burned or withered away.
Power of Thor!It looks like some of the stages might be like...adrift in time, or something. The Shaolin monks are also desiccated corpses.
Ok, a few things:
What tobias refer is that li mei have a totally pointless sub plot about some tournament the DA did, which in the end was a trap and take her soul and bound it to a solder of onaga, which it make the thing stupid and put a problem with DA: much of the chararter end doing jack shit.
With kabal: I will disagree with tobias, kabal return the black draon because the black draogn was done and Kano was just another khan enforcer, even X make more so, he have a smuggler look than terrorist a this point.
Finally, about jade....yeah she was dark skin but now she look like a salamander, I mean I almost except her to get a flamer and to shout "VULCAN LIVES!"*Stomp*
Now.....is she a reveant? what this said about her ending? or her absents? this kinda throw a lot of my theories under the water.
And about the island...yeah it look really decrepit, I wondee why.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Her official art depicted her as looking more like a barely tan white woman.◊
Wonder if they'll explain why she was absent in X.
Also, I hear Frost is confirmed. Any truth to that?

Look up the steam achievement leak.
Oh man I am VERY happy to see Jade back. I know she has her fans, but I figured Netherrealm might pigeonhole her as a Satellite Character to Kitana who just rounds the fem!ninja trio out who didn't need to return. I was worried 9 might be the last we see of her for a long time. Kitana taking a few of her moves in 10 exacerbated those worries.
Honestly her animations might be my favorite so far. A lot of the animations seems to have been improved quite a bit, a lot less jerkiness to them, but Jade's definitely a standout IMHO.
Can't wait to kick ass with my Jade/Kabal tag team again.
windleopard: Sure. But her official character select render and in-game appearance are significantly darker.

I mean, they still might have. The fact that she's a Revenant suggests she might just be back because Kitana has major plot relevancy again.
I wouldn't be surprised if Jade is here to be, like, Kitana's undead right-hand enforcer or some shit.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I would be surprised if Jade suddenly gets bumped to major character status. More likely she's a goon for Kitana and Liu Kang's side.
The same kinda role Erron Black & Ferra Torr filled for Kotal Kahn.
All villains need hired goons. It’s more personal.
Don't get me wrong. I agree. Heck, Erron Black is a cool hired Goon.
I kind of wonder if Jade might be a minion of Kronika instead, given her ending back in 9 and Kitana’s in MKX involved correcting time.
Power of Thor!Would explain why her skin looks like actual jade, instead of pale grey like the other revenants.

Except her intro dialogue with Baraka show her loyal to Kitana.
Either way, she's probably going to be getting beat a lot in story mode.
Maybe that entity that Jade ran into later released her and Jade just teamed up with Kitana.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaKitana and Kronika could be working together, since Kitana might see the timeline where she's not a horrific undead monstrosity would be preferable.
"I don't care if I cease existing along with this timeline, bringing back the world where I was not reduced to this is worth it!"

And then that’s when she finds out that she & everyone she loves was brutally slain in Kombat in that original timeline.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."... but she's just dead in the other timeline cause EVERBODY DIES!... cept Shao Kahn who do to Argus being a moron highlander's Blaze's power to make him more powerful then the elder gods!!
Thats the Thing MK post 4 in the original timeline was just an escalation of Suck till it hit critical mass in Armaggedon that rendered any victory pointless
The New timeline might have had a more brutal start... but the fact that the characters have lasted long enough to have Children REACH adulthood means its lasted longer then the orginal timeline

Yeah that’s clearly gonna be the detail Kronika will avoid telling all the warriors she recruits & what will be the detail that will drive them to go against her once they find out.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."This one gets it.
Kronika definitely strikes me as a manipulator type (I say after not even knowing what she looks like) We do need a healthy dose of Let's You and Him Fight in a MK game after all.

If this pre-fight dialogue between Jade and Baraka is any indication (@ 0:05), the revenants view their plight as a fate worse than death.
That is exactly the point of Fatalities nowadays.
Edit: YEAH, BITCH, PAGE TOPPER.

Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...
