Old rules snipped; please read the updated rules post.
And that should be that. Here's a save of the simulation, just so you know what to expect. Now's start the nominations for the first season of the reboot!

Please don't take CB's opinion as the final word, as we're currently discussing this on the server.
"I just want what everyone else has, that's all."(my personal opinion, not speaking for anyone else)
This is a game where tributes kill each other by definition, so if you're not comfortable with a tribute being killed, you shouldn't nominate them. At the end of the day, it's still just a game and not everything needs to be taken seriously. Besides, people have nominated real life countries in the past, nominating a flag seems minor compared to that.
A great Mascot Mook.I agree with Blue's thoughts. This is a game about killing others. If you nominate a flag, LGBT person, a country or a person of color here they're likely going to die and you can't take their deaths in a game all about it as homophobia, racism, etc.
It feels like grasping for straws to see something problematic where there isn't any ill intent and while some events might be unintentionally insensitive or problematic under certain scenarios, I don't see why we need to make super specific guidelines or restrict certain tributes just because they might coincidentally make an event with some unfortunate implications.
View of mine here
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."just popping in briefly to say, I echo Blue + Bale
be nice to benjamin it's not his fault he got beat up by a microbeThirding what Blue and Bale said as well.
"Pardon me, that extremely loud and extremely deep voice you may have just heard. It was me. Oh, it is such a long story..."Agree with the above four because with the sheer number of events nowadays, the probability of an unintentionally insensitive death event happening is astronomically small, and even then, that's subjective.
"I just want what everyone else has, that's all."Alright. In that case, then I might do that some seasons after I run out of Street Fighter 4 debuts.
I'm neutral about the meme, but she was beautiful. The save has been set up for 9k1! She'll begin running shortly.
Okay, after 10 failed saves, I will continue running when I wake-up-ish, but I won't give up on the Regular Save just yet. However, I will disable AEs when I get back to it.
We still haven't found a host yet, though.

"I just want what everyone else has, that's all."What happened? Is it the blacklisted events?
I'm mainly a fan of underrated media.Yeah and early AEs, but I'm determined enough to push through despite those! Still, I'll let you know if I have to back down.
"I just want what everyone else has, that's all."Still plodding along with Regular, but Bale will host if no one else does.
"I just want what everyone else has, that's all."Quick question, is there any way to get a recent save?
I will claim what is rightfully mine, and rebuild the Kryptonian Empire. You can check the save posted in last season's finale, but if you want a gag save featuring this season's tributes, here's the latest rejected save. Content Warning since a few inappropriate pairings busted it.
"I just want what everyone else has, that's all."Uh, I specified that I changed Serge and Leena's pic, but oh well. The original one is not bad, either.
I'm neutral about the meme, but she was beautiful.Sorry, we didn't notice it because you edited your last post with the change instead of making a new one.
That being said, I'll get back to running, but with the death rate set to Very High to try speeding it up. But if I'm still struggling by midnight PHT (or ~9.5 hours from this post), then I'll have to switch to Clean, even if it's a V-Day Season.
"I just want what everyone else has, that's all."Okay... despite Just co-running the season with me during the last hours of using Regular... I surrender. This Valentine's Day Season will become a Palentine's Day one instead because we're gonna switch to Clean. We seriously underestimated how difficult running this season with the new sim would be given the increased tribute and watchlist size. Not even cranking up the Death Rate to "Very High" to speed up the kills made it any easier.
But speaking of the Death Rate, all/some of those discarded gag saves set at "Very High" did speed up the pacing without risking too many early deathsnote , and we're thinking of permanently setting it there starting next season, but only for cast sizes greater than 48. Here's the poll on it; you have ~24 hours to vote. We know that lower death rates are available, but we doubt if any of you would want that because that would unnecessarily prolong the seasons.
EDIT: To whoever voted "Other", please explain here, in the poll itself, or on Discord.

"I just want what everyone else has, that's all."Sorry for triple posting, but Just has sent the screens and save to Bale!
But in light of the arduous save production this season, we discussed on Discord possible solutions to make the Regular Save easier to use during the New Sim Era:
- Prune some romantic events, but continue allowing them to be suggested; pruning will be done periodically and by the event kind, and the last time we did this was for the excess kissing/making out events last October 2020.
- This includes converting some romantic events to their platonic counterparts, like removing "S.O./lover/romantic partner" from events that are virtually the same with or without them or changing them to "friend". If the platonic version exists, then the romantic version can be retired/merged with it.
- Jake also suggested setting a designated period for suggesting blacklisted events, like with Phantom Tribute and Villain/Hero Mall AEs, to reduce their frequency of being suggested.
- Change the way mixed-age group tributes are flagged, specifically from black to a special case flag that notes all the members' flag colors.
- Do not assume that everyone in the group gets involved in a polyamorous relationship with the other party, even if the event text states that everyone fell in love with themnote . The host would have to clarify this each time it happens, however.
- Jake also suggested a "flexible" flag that can be applied to tributes who can be safely shipped with watchlisters depending on the situation. An example would be Vague Age tributes who can be seen as any age instead of a specific one.
- Get the Clean Save and only reinstate very few shipping eventsnote . Disallow any further romantic events, and that will be the only save we will use.
- I think we should still keep the last few sex events left because they were grandfathered in. If their rarity has been helping them not show up that frequently, then why not for the other shipping events? And when these events do happen to the right tributes, they'll be extra special.
- Don't change anything about the blacklisted events or the watchlisters and accept the fact that the Regular Save might not be as frequently used as it was during the early-mid Reboot. However, we should continue updating it on the rare occasion it'll be actually used.
So far, the server members are in favor of Options 1 and 2. What do you think? Hopefully we can discuss this thoroughly before the season begins.
"I just want what everyone else has, that's all."I strongly favour option 2. The number of times the Regular Save has been made unviable by a few black flags alone suggests to me that, if the number of possible black-flagged tributes was reduced, that alone would ease the process up significantly. Option 1 I would also consider, though only as a last resort. Strongly opposed to option 3.
be nice to benjamin it's not his fault he got beat up by a microbeLate to this, but the poll has been closed. We shall be cranking up the death rate to Very High starting next season!
"I just want what everyone else has, that's all."I feel like most black-flagged tributes are mixed age tributes, so changing that flag would make things easier IMO.
More examples would of the "flexible" flag would be objects that are not based on a specific person/character, certain Really 700 Years Old characters that can be seen as either teens or adults, or certain variable tributes such as the time I nominated (Player1) and (Player2) in Reboot Season 192.
In regards to the first point, it was discussed that possible certain marriage/engagement events should be pruned due to how some tropers have different opinions regarding teen marriages, and that might be running easier. It also discussed that some break-up events should be pruned as they might be seen as snow-cloney.
And for the record, there were 47 failed saves this season, and most of them were ruined by bad pairings.

BTW, please call me Jake.47 failed saves?! Damn. Is this often?
I will claim what is rightfully mine, and rebuild the Kryptonian Empire.I'm in favor of flagging group tributes differently due to how many saves have been ruined due to inappropriate pairings involving a group. That being said, I think some romantic events should be pruned to help make things a little easier for the runners, but that's probably just me.
Hyperfixation, guaranteed! That’s very rare. Most seasons don't have that many failed saves.

I feel like that can be expanded to country flags too and flags of pretty much any movement. It could be a bit controversial if they were destroyed. Destroying a country's flag could seem like racism, and those who follow a movement may be offended if their movement's flag is destroyed.
