An animated series from Vivienne Medrano, it follows the escapades of the princess of Hell as she tries to curb hell's overpopulation by creating the titular hotel to redeem souls and get them into heaven.

I bet they would find Caddicarus's Unholy World of Jesus Games hilarious.
Watch SymphogearY'all remember that Making Christmas number from Nightmare Before Christmas where the Halloween monsters are gleefully making those scary toys and undead reindeer? That's probably what Krampus's workshop is like.
In that retrospect, aren’t we all demons?
“Now! Let us engage in the art of deduction!”Well, the Demons would be dump because according to Christian theology that is actually where the triumph begins because people are now saved by faith and not actions.
I just had a minor realization, once the official Hazbin Hotel series is announced it won't be a "Web Original" anymore. This means we'll likely need to make a new thread in the Western Animation section and this will become the Helluva' Boss thread.
Oof. That's actually a good point.
(Ironically enough, I made a thread for HH in the western animation forum back in 2018, but it got locked because this thread existed first. Guess we might have to bring my old thread back and rechristen it as "A24's Hazbin Hotel" or something. Heh.)

I hope the episode 8 of Season 1's posted soon. Can't wait. -slightly impatient-
Looks like Broadway actress Leslie Kritzer is going to appear in Hazbin Hotel! Any theories on who she might play?

I won't be surprised if she plays Charlie herself.
I have no idea who she'd be playing but what kind of characters is she well known for?
Don't know what her usual character type is, but she's been in Broadway productions of Hairspray, Something Rotten, Legally Blonde, and Beetlejuice.
One quick glance at her characters, namely Bea from Something Rotten (which I want to see in some capacity because I love comedy musicals) and Delia Deetz from Beetlejuice (which I heard weird stuff about), I guess her roles are "only sane/rational woman" types? I know for sure Bea is the sane/rational type, case in point, "Right Hand Man".
So maybe she's Vaggie? Or maybe a new role altogether?

I was thinking about Viv's headcanon voices, and I know she pictures Weird Al as Lucifer and Mark Hamill as Vox. But I remember seeing a video she posted a long time ago of the voices she pictured for the other characters, and she pictured Niffty sounding like Pinkie Pie and Husk sounding like Rick Sanchez.
So, does this mean the A24 version will cast Andrea Libman as Niffty and Justin Roiland as Husk?
Isn't Libman set up in Canada? I forget if Canadian VA's are easy or hard to nab for union stuff.
But then, I recall hearing her in the golf episode of the recent DuckTales as one of the murder ponies. So I'm probably worried for nothing.
Speaking of DuckTales, was anyone else surprised to hear Asmodeus and Taurus Bulba (and Broadway!Genie) have the same voice actor? Seriously, how does Viv get these people?

I've heard speculation that the series will be on HBO Max due to Vivienne apparently following them on her Twitter since the only other studio she follows is A24, does this hold weight to anyone?
Could see it happening. Sucks for me if it ends up being true though, since the only streaming services I have are Netflix and Disney+.
Same, its what I'm crossing my fingers that her following HBO has no effect on Hazbin appearing on their streaming service
New theme music also a boxIf it does end up on HBO Max, I won't be surprised if this leads to it being the most pirated TV show next to The Mandalorian.
Countersuggestion: move this thread to Western Animation, since both shows fit the description.
SKREEEEEEEONK!I could see it causing more people to get a subscription, isn't the monthly price for HBO Max about ten dollars?
I don't think Helluva Boss would count since I don't see any other Youtube series on the Western Animation thread.
Better than splitting this thread in half, at least.
SKREEEEEEEONK!
Its also only available in select countries,so its harder to access for someone not in the US
New theme music also a boxHad a dream last night that instead of being taken in by Blitzo, Loona somehow wound up in Tokyo and was taken in by Hana from Wolf Children. The rest of the movie was pretty much the same except Loona was the irresponsible older sister to Ame and Yuki who taught them to swear.
People just don't want to pay for what's rapidly become cable packages 2.0, HBO Max's availability would only be a partial factor.
I'm just picturing a bunch of demons celebrating the crucifixion because they're messed up and its Hell
