  • Identity: Malefic'eris, villain
  • Abilities:
    • Kaydenite Physiology: He possesses the hard light energy producing organs signature of a Kaydenite, though his are bulbous, interconnected, deformed, and result due to his Technion Infection and vampirism in black light. Most of his torso consists of cables, his organs, heart and biomechanical pieces, with a number of vents emerging from his form to make casting his "light" easier.
    • Technion Infection: He was infected in the course of his life with the Technion Virus, which slowly but steadily converted most of his body except his hard light producing organs into machinery and biomechanical pieces. He can as a result control all technology in a one mile radius, owing to his own innate telepathy interwoven with the virus. His bodily modifications result in a number of afflictions commonly associated with decaying bodies, such as his nails becoming absurdly long and blade-like, his hair mostly falling out, and as his body turned to mostly metal, it took on a rustic look. His Technion Infection also enables him to incorporate and assimilate technology into himself. An odd and mostly unexplored part of it is a limited and odd Back from the Dead ability able to be used on others, though he is uninterested in this application.
    • Vampirism: In addition to the above, he was bitten and infected by a vampire from outer space. Due to his Technion Infection, rather than little fangs, he has a mouth full of knife-like fangs, optimized by technology to drink blood, energy, electricity, and other things. Owing to his vampirism, he can also infect others with a heady combination of both Technion and his own vampirism - whom he can exert mental domination over. Notably, he can learn knowledge and language from people by biting them and draining them. He can even drain energy from beings made of it, and in the case of emotional entities, he tastes their particular emotions in flavors "Any kind of hate is spicy...and I love such things. Fear is sweet as ambrosia..."
    • Weapon of Fear: I Know What You Fear is in play - he was gifted with a Weapon from the Weaponmasters somewhat more recently, which acts on fear. He's built it into his right hand. It creates energy constructs based on what his foes fear, or generally fearsome images or concepts.
  • Weaknesses:
    • Intense Sunlight: Particularly intense solar light is the bane of this malignant vampire's existence.
    • Fresh Water: Due to his metallic nature, and the way he's made, he cannot stand fresh water and in fact withdraws from it in severe pain.
    • Pride: He is at once an egotistical creature - he'll never miss an opportunity to gloat his success or twist the knife in a foe.
  • Appearance: He had once been a member of the same species as Rine and Kyxe, but that was hundreds of years ago. He is now a disgusting cybernetic vampire, each individual talon on his hands huge and blade-like, seeming to come from interwoven biomechanical tendrils that compose his arms. His head has glowing cybernetic eyes, with a green orb in the middle of a black expanse. His cape and cowl is extremely conspicuous, and some have said it has an odd stench. Even as he looks incredibly creepy, one can tell he tries to look "noble" and "refined", but these traits just make his hideous nature stand out all the more. His torso is visibly distorted, cybernetic, and made of interlocking plates, coils, cables, and his light casting organs covered by the above.
  • Personality: Malefic'eris, or just Malefic is bent on conquering his people, and showing them what a boon it truly is to live forever the way he does. He gives the constant impression of nobility, polite, effacing, prone to No, Mr. Bond, I Expect You to Dine and wanting to be seen as Wicked Cultured...but despite this, it is plainly obvious he is a cruel, hateful and deceitful entity. His rampant inhumanity and refinement just enhance the oddity and dread he provokes. He has extremely high standards, and will only work alongside those who supremely impress him - otherwise, a starscream moment is inevitable. When given the chance, he can and will drain people not even if he's hungry, just because he finds organic lifeforms just...delicious. He's listed as a dangerous psychopath with no respect for life, and rather than act offended, his reaction to hearing of this is basically "I do like that you find me dangerous, dear boy - and no respect for life? Why, why be offended at truth? What is there to respect?"
  • Background: There are precious few real details of Malefic's early life, due to the sheer amount of hearsay and story that developed - was he an amoral noble who infected himself with both vampirism and Technion for shits and giggles? Was he a warrior lord who was tragically infected and driven insane when an older vampire killed his valen and infected him? All that is known is that he is a dangerous criminal and deviant, responsible for a large number of murders, horrors, and incidents involving him.
    • In the course of his long life, one General Rok'n was sent out to a place called the Shadowed Clades to chase the cyber-vampire out and stop him from preying upon those who passed through this location - and considering this was an important route to the homeworld of the Chackers, his presence there was of dire concern to any parties involved.
    • The vampire was defeated, but nursed a tremendous grudge against the house his foe had come from. Making use of an alliance with a Weaponmaster Barge-Lord, Malefic infiltrated the home of his foe and decided to inflict the greatest agony that could be done unto a Kaydenite...allegedly.
    • After...whatever happened, the vampire fled the world, and commenced a journey to Earth, whereupon his arrival, he drank every bit of fluid out of a farmer he found and commenced his plans...but for the time, he's watched the likes of Angra Mainyu and others hatch their own plans, forming his own around what he watched...

Identity: Jumping Bean, Saint of Demon-Quelling & Healing (Hero)

Abilities:
  • Powers:
    • Absolute Fortitude of Body and Mind: Due to cultivating her conduct diligently over many years and becoming a Xian, Jumping Bean is immune to mind altering, forced shape-shifting, disease, poison, and forced teleporting. She is, in effect, "rooted to the earth," and is exempt from the needs of mortals.
    • Light-Filled Aura: After ascending and becoming a Xian, she has gained an aura of light that can be turned on and off at will. It's the mark of being a Xian and is the manifestation of some very powerful magic. She can use it to empower allies by encircling them in it, use it to lash out at her enemies, grant blessings by siphoning off some of it into someone, ensure large harvests by shining it over a field, etc. It also lets her fly and teleport, flaring dramatically whenever she does so.
  • Skills:
    • Taoist Magics: Jumping Bean can write incantations down on yellow paper with red ink to make Fu. These paper strips can be used as wards against evil influences, burned and the ashes used to make various potions, used to summon/consult with divine influences, and stuck on the foreheads of the undead/the freshly dead to make them thralls. Since her ascension, she doesn't need to prepare Fu beforehand, and can instead cast magic on the fly by drawing the incantations in mid-air.
    • Martial Arts/Swordsmanship: Jumping Bean is skilled in various Chinese martial arts styles and swordsmanship. Additionally, she knows how to utilize the Light Body Technique, which allows her to float and jump/perform acrobatics in midair.
  • Equipment:
    • Sagely Garb: A set of dark gray hanfu with black trim given to her by the gods. It acts as armor against evil influences and black magics, repairs itself if damaged, and cannot be dirtied.
    • Divine Radiant Sword That Mows Down Evil: A very sharp and durable jian given to her by the gods. It glows in the dark and in evil's presence. It can also be used as a dowsing rod—point in the direction of the thing you wish to find and it will glow.
    • Sealed Magic Gourd of Myriad Properties: A magic gourd given to her by the gods. It spews out hot/cold winds, fire, and water. It dispenses food, drink, and medicine that can "cure all ills." It can grow to the size of a van, be used as a boat, and can fly. There are 9 Fu seals on it to prevent the gates to Heaven from opening whenever she uncorks it.

Appearance: Jumping Bean is a (5 ft. 5 in. tall, 120 lbs) wiry teen girl with brown eyes and black hair in a half ponytail. She wears a dark gray hanfu set with black trim and martial arts slippers with white socks.
Personality: Kind and cheerful, and generally tries helping everybody out. She is, however, not above dirty tricks in combat. Upon hearing of other's problems, she will start offering advice, asked for or not. She can be seen as self-righteous and unable to mind her own business, but she is trying to change that. Likes over-the-top dramatics, reading, good food, and making friends. Dislikes evil and bad-tasting medicine (which she counts as the former). Since her ascension, she has become a bit more sedate and carefree, and has a tendency to be candid.
Background:
  • Once upon a time, two benevolent Taoist magicians decided to marry and have a child. But, however hard they tried, they found that having a child was impossible. Therefore, they appealed to the gods for help. The gods gave them a golden bean and told them to soak it in rice wine and seal it in an ivory box for 49 days. They did so, and when they opened the box on the 49th day, the bean, now baby-sized, jumped out and sprang all over the place. In time, a baby burst out of the bean. They named her Tiao Dou, or Jumping Bean, and taught her to read, write, and speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin, along with all that she knows today.
  • One day, Jumping Bean's parents vanished, and she looked far and wide to find them. Ultimately, she was approached by the gods, and notified that the evil spirit of Emperor Shi Huangdi had kidnapped her parents to use in his scheme to usurp the gods' positions. Tearfully, she asked how to stop him. The gods gave her several boons and told her to oppose Emperor Shi Huangdi, for that was the surest way to find her parents.
  • She has opposed Emperor Shi Huangdi for several years now, and has recently chased him and his forces to Easton, where he is plotting to kill supers in order to make super-powered jiang-shi (zombies) for his army. If he succeeds in doing so, he will consider his war preparations complete and invade Heaven.
  • During the fight with Azi Dahaka, she ascended and became a Xian. Then the Emperor became overcome with lust for power and showed himself prematurely to devour a fallen Yazata in Easton. A battle ensued to ensure that he did not become even more powerful, and when the dust cleared, the Emperor was defeated and she found out that her parents were killed by the Emperor. She is now trying to settle down in Easton.

Identity: Blood Tiger (Villain) —> Red Tiger (Hero)

Abilities:
  • Powers:
    • Supernatural Strength & Endurance: Red Tiger, due to being a tiger yaoguai, possesses supernatural strength and endurance. He can lift about 15 tons and can run for a day without getting tired.
    • True Form: When he puts on his tiger pelt back on, he transforms into a giant Bengal Tiger the size of a van. He has just as much strength and endurance in this form as in his human form.
  • Weaknesses:
    • Ponderous: While he is strong, his speed is about two-thirds the speed of a regular person's. His agility also leaves much to be desired. This all changes while in his true form, however.
    • Obvious: He cannot do stealth in his human form because his armor clatters everywhere. In his true form he is quieter, but a giant tiger is very hard to miss.
    • Traditional Aversions: As a yaoguai he can be kept away/captured with the appropriate paper charms. He also has the traditional instinctual fear of fire and loud noises.
  • Skills:
    • Tactics: As he used to be a general in Emperor Shi Huangdi's yaoguai army, he has a very good sense of logistics and tactical actions.
    • Martial Arts: Has mastered the use of claw blades.
  • Equipment:
    • Indestructible Tiger Pelt: Red Tiger wears his old pelt like a cape on his back. It is impervious to all mundane weapons and protects him from weaker forms of Taoist magic.
    • Claw Blades: A pair of leather gauntlets with three 15'' blades affixed to each of them.

Appearance: Red Tiger appears as a (7 ft. tall, 250 lbs) muscular, barrel-chested man in his sixties with shaggy light brown hair reaching to his shoulders in a half ponytail, a scraggly-looking beard, and orange eyes with slit pupils. He wears traditional Chinese lacquer armor painted bright red over a dark red hanfu set, along with a pair of sturdy-looking leather boots with woolen socks. The Chinese character for "king" is emblazoned on his forehead. He also speaks in a low growl.
Personality: Despite appearances (and his past) he now tries to not be as volatile as he was in his youth. He can be a bit grouchy, but the complaining is mostly for show. He can be lazy and stubborn, but his heart is (mostly) good. He is deeply grateful to Jumping Bean for saving his and Black Wolf's life. He has developed a soft spot for small children, milk, and sweets. He doesn't like his past self, Emperor Shi Huangdi, and arrogant people.
Background:
  • Red Tiger used to be called Blood Tiger when he was one of Emperor Shi Huangdi's yaoguai generals, along with his sworn brother, a wolf yaoguai called Black Dog. He was named for the way in which he loved to guzzle blood in battle.
  • He and Black Dog had many run-ins with Jumping Bean, culminating with her soundly beating them in one decisive battle. The two slunk back to base only to be sentenced to be executed by being used as target practice for the Terracotta Archers. They fled while being stuck full of arrows and collapsed in a nearby forest.
  • Jumping Bean found them and nursed them back to health. Since she saved their lives they were now bound to serve her, and they did so, bitterly, at first. Soon, however, their relationship became more friendly after they realized that Emperor Shi Huangdi would have done so anyways after they had outlived their usefulness. They felt chagrin at their previous lives and their names only reminded them of their brutal actions. Therefore, Jumping Bean gave them new names to symbolize their turning over a new leaf: Red Tiger and Black Wolf. They have since been on many adventures together.

Identity: Black Dog (Villain) —> Black Wolf (Hero)
Abilities:
  • Powers:
    • Supernatural Strength & Endurance: Black Wolf, due to being a wolf yaoguai, possesses supernatural strength and endurance, though less than Red Tiger's. He can lift about 10 tons and can run for 12 hours without getting tired.
    • Supernatural Senses: As a wolf yaoguai, his senses are several times sharper than a human's.
    • True Form: When he puts on his wolf pelt back on, he transforms into a huge Black Wolf the size of a car. He has just as much strength and endurance in this form as in his human form.
    • Sonic Shout/Bark: Whenever he shouts (in human form) or barks (in true form) with killing intent, his shout manifests as a forceful wave that can break bones.
  • Weaknesses:
    • Traditional Aversions: As a yaoguai he can be kept away/captured with the appropriate paper charms. He also has the traditional instinctual fear of fire and loud noises.
    • Specific Taunts: Calling him "mongrel," "cur," "dog," etc. will induce an irrational rage in him.
  • Skills:
    • Tactics: As he used to be a general in Emperor Shi Huangdi's yaoguai army, he has a very good sense of logistics and tactical actions.
    • Tracking: Using his very sharp senses, he can track/sense people and other yaoguai fairly easily.
    • Martial Arts: Has mastered the use of falchions.
  • Equipment:
    • Impervious Wolf Pelt: Black Wolf wears his old pelt like a cape on his back. It is impervious to all mundane weapons and protects him from weaker forms of Taoist magic.
    • Falchions: A pair of well-made and well-balanced falchions.

Appearance: Black Wolf appears as a (6 ft. tall, 200 lbs) sinewy man in his forties with wild black hair reaching down to his waist in a half ponytail, a stubbly-looking beard, and yellow eyes with slit pupils. He has decided to adopt a more "modern" look, and therefore wears a black trench coat over a gray T-shirt, camouflage cargo pants, and combat boots with woolen socks. He still retains his wolf ears and a 3 ft. long tail in his human form. He speaks with a scratchy voice.
Personality: He is trying to be a more honorable person, as opposed to the moral-less person he was in the past, by helping people. Black Wolf is usually the first to try and entreat an enemy to reconsider their actions. He can be sarcastic and abrasive, but he is good at heart. He likes sucking the marrow out of bones, chewing bones, meat, and enjoys fighting. He dislikes being called a "dog" (or any variation thereof), pepper (it makes him sneeze), and dog whistles.
Background:
  • Black Wolf used to be called Black Dog when he was one of Emperor Shi Huangdi's yaoguai generals, along with his sworn brother, a tiger yaoguai called Blood Tiger. He was named for his underhanded tactics in battle and general perceived lowliness.
  • He was the one to realize that Emperor Shi Huangdi would've screwed them over anyways, when they had outlived their usefulness. He managed to convince Blood Tiger of this, so they began acting more amicable towards Jumping Bean.
  • He was also the first to realize that they needed new names to escape the infamy of their past, and the one to ask Jumping Bean to rename them. Blood Tiger became Red Tiger and he became Black Wolf. The trio have been through thick and thin together.

Identity: Emperor Shi Huangdi (Villain) [OWNED BY NickTheSwing]

Abilities:
  • Powers:
    • Red Lightning: All he does nowadays is shoot red lightning from his spot on Dread Mud Snake's head.

Appearance: Like this, but ghostlier. His upper half has been attached to the head of Dread Mud Snake.
Personality: He screams. A lot. That's all he does, since his mind is all but gone.
Background:
  • He manifested as a spirit when he grew dissatisfied with the afterlife. His return from the afterlife animated the Terracotta Army. Then, he began gathering followers in order to invade Heaven.
  • He wants to usurp the gods to recreate a perfect paradise for himself. ("As it should be!") He dislikes Jumping Bean for opposing him in this, and for mingling with "barbarians."
  • He and his forces have recently relocated to Easton to kill supers and create superpowered jiang-shi (zombies) from them.
  • After his death and resurrection at the hands of the Anti-Creator, he's become a horn on the head of Dread Mud Snake.

  • Identity: Faye Lang, Villain, Stray Dog
  • Abilities:
    • Stray Dog Strut - A stance that invokes the aimless forward stride of Stray Dog's namesake. Stray Dog creates numerous copies of herself that all fan out into as many unique approaches onto a single point that are available. These copies have to be tangibly different, so cramped spaces with all sorts of interesting obstacles to move on will produce more copies than an open field, basically. Stray Dog Strut also allows for limited swapping and teleportation between her and her copies so that she can become whichever Dog is most beneficial. All but the last Stray Dog struck and of course phased through is an illusion, and the first illusion to land a strike could also become her, whichever happens first. The major qualifier to this technique, however, is that the Stray Dog Strut must all converge on a single point somewhere in front of the user; Stray Dogs don't turn back.
    • Scavenger's Sense - Faye knows how to fight like an opportunist, and can get a general sense of how tired someone is by looking at them. This same power also makes her extraordinarily good at just aggressively taking things from people; her grip is extremely strong and she has an intuitive sense for a good angle to disarm someone or tear off armor and things like that.
    • GUN - Faye owns a Glock 19 handgun and she is fully licensed and trained in its use, just in case.
    • Faye's family guesses that their flavor of BJJ just sorta mingled with various magical traditions at some point in the past to make their katas magical. Provided she performs her warmups in the morning, Faye's already strong body gets augmented with an internal magical force to make her strong enough to flip cars like tables and fast enough to dodge bullets, as well as giving her access to all the other weird shit she has developed as Stray Dog. Also, she's just really good at Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which mainly focuses on holds and locks while you've got someone on the ground.
    • Education: Faye has a Bachelor's in Sociology from Easton U and is definitely well on her way to getting a Master's in it too.
  • Appearance: Faye doesn't really have an outfit put together yet, but she's working on one, not that it seems to matter with all the plainclothes supers these days. Faye is shredded and dense with muscle but is only 5'6.
  • Personality: Faye takes her studies seriously enough that she'd literally break the law to do them. This also underscores that she's not super hot on the law either; she's read too many books about how fucked up law can be. While Faye definitely has a handle on weird high-level sociology theory, she's also still fairly self-conscious about how high-falutin' and abstract it can get, so she is willing to take the time and disclaim before shit gets Galaxy Brain Meme. She is generally distrustful of both police and superheroes, but also gets that that shit is fraught and complex. She knows to pick her battles there and everywhere else, and she prefers to never fight 100% fairly. Very active on Twitter as both herself and Stray Dog.
  • Background: Martial arts existed in Faye's life for as long as she could remember as a sort of background to everything else. Her father ran a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school and she trained there from an early age. She and both of her parents also had a knack for the supernatural angle of BJJ too—not really anything specific, just that regular fitness was giving them superpowers like all the other dinguses running around on skyscrapers or whatever. Faye was always taught, however, that she earned this power, and that it didn't make her any better than anyone else. It only made sense then that Faye was going to bust her ass in school too, to make sure she wasn't just a cool jock; this was also because a couple of her friends who played football lost scholarships with knee injuries, and she wasn't gonna let that happen to her. For her primary grad school project, she became Stray Dog in order to write her thesis on the villains of Easton (this is a fairly common move in the sociological world in order to guarantee the confidentiality of the project and gain the trust of those the sociologist is studying—Stray Dog would be easily incriminated too if she didn't obscure key details). Having no idea of the significance of the Black Dog she was replacing, Faye just sorta filled the role after hearing through the martial arts grapevine that there was a free position there. Also, she needed some way to make rent, so doing a project that would roll in the cash was the obvious choice there.

Identity: Dread Mud Snake (Villain) [OWNED BY NickTheSwing]

Abilities:
  • Powers:
    • Empowerment Of The Anti-Creator: She now has Entropic Energy breath, heightened defense and armor through the melted-down Terracotta Soldiers infused with malignant energy, flight through her new wings, the ability to deflect attacks by using her wings (which can spin in a circle on her back), extendable "rubber man" limbs, extremely sharp claws, and can now shoot red lightning using her new horn (which is solely comprised of the Emperor).
    • Poison/Pathogen Resistance: Despite her transformation, she has retained her immunity to most poisons and pathogens.
    • Poison Bite: She can poison people with extremely fast-acting poison by biting them.

Appearance: See the last part of this post for the description of her horrific form.
Personality: She is now merely a mindless, vicious beast.
Background:
  • One of the first yaoguai to join the Emperor's forces, and because of her skills (and charm!) was made Chief Royal Magician.
  • She created Red Bean on the Emperor's request. He was very pleased, and became enamored with her because of her skills and loyalty.
  • Then, she traveled to Easton with the Emperor's forces to make thralls out of killed supers. She is becoming more and more arrogant by the day.
  • After being killed by Red Tiger and Black Wolf, she was resurrected by the Anti-Creator, being metamorphosed into a mindless monstrosity in the process.

Identity: Red Bean (Villain)

Abilities:
  • Powers:
    • False Fortification: She was lazy and didn't want to cultivate her conduct, so she drank potions to achieve the same level of fortitude as Jumping Bean. This made her resistant to mind altering, forced shape-shifting, disease, and poison.
  • Skills:
    • Taoist Magics: Red Bean can write incantations down on yellow paper with red ink to make Fu. These paper strips can be used as wards against yaoguai, burned and the ashes used to make various potions, used to summon/consult with demonic influences, and stuck on the foreheads of the undead/the freshly dead to make them thralls.
    • Martial Arts/Swordsmanship: Red Bean is skilled in various Chinese martial arts styles and swordsmanship. Additionally, she knows how to utilize the Light Body Technique, which allows her to float and jump/perform acrobatics in midair. However, she is lazy and didn't quite apply herself in her training, resulting in her being slightly less skilled than Jumping Bean.

Appearance: She looks like this, except in an orange prison jumpsuit.
Personality: Since being thrown into Supermax, she has lost the prideful attitude. She is still grieving for the Emperor and Mud Snake, but realized that they were using her for their own gain. Now, she's a lot quieter and thoughtful. Maybe she's plotting something, maybe she isn't—only time will tell.
Background:
  • Emperor Shi Huangdi needed the ultimate enemy to combat Jumping Bean, so he commissioned Mud Snake to create a copy of Jumping Bean. She enchanted a red bean and sealed it in an obsidian vat full of red wine for 4 days. When the vat was opened, the bean had grown to a monstrous size. It was sliced open by the Emperor's Terracotta Infantry and Red Bean emerged.
  • She was named for the medium in which she was grown: the red wine and red bean. Being doted on by the Emperor and Mud Snake, she quickly grew into a spoiled brat.
  • She has traveled to Easton with the Emperor's forces to kill supers and help create a superpowered undead army.
  • She ended up in Supermax after the Emperor's death.

Not my best signup, but it was actually quite difficult for me to get this guy in writing. Maybe as I use him I'll get a better grip on him.

Zanzibar

  • Identity: Derrick Zanzibar, Villain, Public Identity.
  • Abilities: As 89.3% Zanzibar virus, Derrick has a wide range of virus-based abilities that overlap both the real world and the technological world. Such abilities include a short-range teleportation, characterized by materialization of a large amount of pixels in the air where he leaves and where he arrives, a corruptive presence/touch, in which anything he has physical contact with immediately begins to have anomalous, damaging effects (such as pallet swapping, model mesh breaking and so-called graphical errors), the ability to jack into both mechanisms and organic life (a form of possession that also carries over anomalous effects) and multiple other glitch-based abilities. Due to the Zanzibar virus's nature, this is most likely not a complete list, as it is constantly upgrading and taking on attributes from certain things it hacks into.
  • Appearance: Around 5'8, approximately 18 years of age in physical appearance. Constantly surrounded by physical variations of 'graphical errors', such as pixelization, mesh model glitches (causing violent, horrifically warped spasms) and occasional discolourations. Also carries a carving knife that almost never leaves his right hand.
  • Personality: Unhinged and not afraid to show it, Derrick is eager to spread his mark on the world and make the Zanzibar name known to all, his ultimate goal being to spread the virus throughout the entire world and assimilate entirely with it. He has little to no moral obligation, and is willing to do anything, no matter how sadistic, to flaunt and prolong his public presence in order to spread his name, including blatant murder of innocents just to make a point. Any moral obligations he does have are so twisted and chaotic that they actually seem to be detrimental to him and those around him rather than helpful. Brash, arrogant, sociopathic and insane, seemingly having no redeeming qualities other than being an occasionally entertaining pain in the ass, Derrick is quite possibly the worst person to be let loose on the streets. If he even can be contained in the first place.
  • Background: The son of the cyberterrorist Kyle Zanzibar, Derrick was initially your usual questionably-sadistic street thug, owning his own gang and looking to make his name be known even though he only had a consistent number of three members. However, one night after coming home, he realised that his father had seemingly vanished from the house, despite him having locked himself in with all the other exits being barred. Making his way to the basement, he found the fresh, severely disfigured and warped corpse of Kyle, the ground beneath him corroded and strangely pixelized. Upon investigation, Derrick discovered what he had been working on; an ambitious computer virus that Kyle had named after himself that had somehow transcended into the physical world, warping and corrupting all that it came into contact with. Attempting to destroy the computer it was stored in, it immediately bonded with his psyche upon him making contact with the machine, corrupting him and destroying most of his body. For reasons even he doesn't quite understand, the virus wasn't able to corrupt him fully, leaving his mental control mostly intact but with the experience and trauma driving him insane in the process. Declaring to continue his father's work, Derrick set out to spread the Zanzibar name and virus across the world, no matter what obstacle may come his way in the process.

    • Powers:
      • flight
      • Ability to shrink down to about the height of a daisy.
      • Spring can summon plants to rise up from the ground, or make plants grow. She can use this for offensive or defensive purposes.
      • Aromatherapy: Spring can summon aromatic mists based off of various plants, that can invigorate or calm. They also can have healing properties.
      • Healing nature: Spring can channel the forces of nature and use them to heal wounds and illnesses of living things.
      • Nature's wrath: Spring channels the forces of nature into a concentrated blast of light to attack foes with, or as an arrow shot for her bow.
      • Spring can transform into a willow sapling, which absorbs sunlight faster.
      • Spring can talk to plants and animals.
    • Skills:
      • Spring is a skilled archer.
    • Equipment:
      • Her bow: It is an extendable bow that has no string, but the string and arrow will form when Spring utilises a drawing motion like when drawing a bow. The arrows are made of solid energy.
    • Weaknesses:
      • Spring is very sensitive to radiation. She does not get cancer, but is severely weakened for a while.
      • Spring feeds via photosynthesis, but when she does not get enough sunlight, she forcibly transforms into a willow to absorb more sunlight.
      • If she is destroyed or loses a body part, she can reform but it takes time.

  • Appearance: [1] with pointy ears and a leather shoulder bag

  • Identity: Raiko Ryushiro, Villain, The Easton Dragon
  • Abilities:
    • The Snow Dragons gang has a firm grip on Easton's physical assets. Other gangs may have better trafficking or collection rackets, but Raiko's gang have more dens of ill repute than any other. Among them is the Golden Dragon Nightclub and the Dragon's Hoard Bar, which serve clients legitimate and illegitimate alike.
    • A mess of supernatural procedures has given Raiko the power of Superimprovisation; objects she uses are absurdly effective if not used for their original purpose. The most obvious of these is that improvised weapons she swings are able to obliterate concrete, but she can also macguyver up potent bombs and make surprisingly effective medical patch jobs with rubbing alcohol and bandages. Edge cases on this power abound.
    • Raiko doesn't lean on her powers; she is an extremely dangerous fighter, able to take on dozens of men at once and power through titanic blows mostly with sheer grit and willpower. She knows no formalized martial arts, and has instead cobbled together her own street fighting style that knows no exact school. She definitely knows how to use a gun and carries a piece most days (this RP does take place in modern America), but she doesn't fall back on it.
  • Appearance: In her hands, that cig can melt through a car. Raiko is about 6'4 and weighs a lot more than she looks at first. She has a stylized dragon tattooed on her back and a smaller one of Trogdor The Burninator on the back of her right thigh.
  • Personality: Raiko's very laid back. She enjoys talking, and sees chatting people up in heated situations as potentially an opportunity to gain an advantage, or maybe just take the power out of someone who wants to boss her around. She values her many goons dearly, and values their sacrifices more, and won't stand for anyone trying to muscle in on her territory. She sees this new alliance with Shi Huangdi as probably temporary, and keeps the guy at arm's length for now.
  • Background: Raiko Ryushiro is a completely different Dragon doing contract work for this Huangdi guy because of the shit that she has been on since a child: organized crime. Not technically Yakuza, Raiko is just a Japanese woman who runs a major gang in Easton. Her father was a prominent gangster and asskicker back in the day, but knowing he wasn't going to last forever he also made sure to train her into a powerful successor. He even found psionicists and mystics to awaken whatever powers she would have, and Raiko learned to wield the power of the Dragon's improvisation to only make her father's grip stronger. When he passed away and the gang came under new leadership (her), she also gave them all a new name: The Snow Dragons, a gang of not only vicious brawlers but also ruthless loansharks and real estate tycoons, predators in Easton's underbelly led by Raiko. Shi Huangdi recruited her sort of outta nowhere (something about replacing a Tiger? Kinda on the nose), mostly to get manpower and space it seemed, and she was more than happy to lend a hand in a fight she was down for. She charges him through the nose to store his weird bullshit in the basements of a few of her crew's places though so it's all good.

The Ram's Head

  • Identity: Valerie Clarke, Anti-Hero, Public Identity
  • Abilities:
    • Combat Abilities:
      • Smog Generation: Valerie has the ability to produce large amounts of smog in bursts from her pores, usually for usage as smokescreens or to distract a large room with its polluting nature. There seems to be a five-to-ten second delay between bursts, any attempt to do so in the meantime will only result in profuse sweating.
      • Blade Manipulation: Valerie also has the ability to alter her sword's shape in the middle of combat. Examples include elongating or twisting/spinning it at high speeds, splitting it off into several smaller blades from the hilt, and coiling it up like a spring to build up kinetic energy and shooting it off into the distance to devastating effect towards anything in its way.
      • Superhuman Speed: Her final combat power, Valerie can move at speeds faster than the human eye can comprehend, although notably without any effect to the environment with the exception of a burst of wind, implying that this ability is supernatural. She seems to mostly apply this only in short bursts, and it is unknown whether this is out of preference or because her body cannot handle the prolonged usage.
    • Passive Abilities:
      • Decelerated Aging: Valerie has been around since the Edwardian era, specifically 1906, yet is only now having the appearance of a young adult in her early to mid twenties. Oddly, her maturity has been slowed in relation to this as well, meaning her prolonged infancy was a trial to others trying to raise her correctly.
      • Sleight-Of-Hand Summoning: By use of a white handkerchief, Valerie can summon small items she has acquired with a burst of smog. Examples include a pocketwatch, a few random tools such as spanners or wire cutters, an umbrella, and most often her sword.
      • Pain Resistance/Blood Clotting: Intriguingly, Valerie does not seem to react to harmful sources that would normally send a person writhing on the floor screaming in agony. It is clear that after a certain threshold she may react with discomfort, although nothing so far has induced anything more than a wince. She also is able to suppress her bleeding, although this seems to take a physical toll on her the longer she does it, and may end up making the blood flow more violent the longer she blocks it up.
  • Appearance: 5'11. Occasionally carries an umbrella in place of her sword.
  • Personality: Suave and polite, level-headed and elegant are all words that accurately describe Valerie's behaviour. Coming across as your ideal Edwardian lady, Valerie still isn't above making sarcastic and occasionally mocking comments to point out what she feels are obvious flaws in others. Valerie is meticulous and patient when it comes to approaching a job, although recognizes through her previous mistakes that overly detailed plans are just begging to go awry via an outside source, especially with the paradoxically predictably-unpredictable nature of Easton City, and as such has become highly adaptable to unprecedented situations purely out of necessity. She is also quite caring for the Black Ram gang and its members, acting almost as a surrogate mother or nanny especially to the young or newer recruits. This extends out to others beyond her gang as well, and while she generally doesn't care for civilian reactions as a consequence of her jobs she does have a limit to how far she'll go before her moral compass takes effect. Cool and collected even when pressed, Valerie is a wonderfully charming person to be on the good side of, and a horrifyingly determined one to oppose.
  • Background: Valerie was born to an upper middle class family in 1906, although it was soon apparent that she was no ordinary child. Any toys she was given as an infant would disappear in her crib only to reappear in her hands later on, her room at night would be filled with polluting smog that seemed to not be detrimental to her, and the decorative blades in the halls of the home would twist and warp as she was carried by. After sixteen months of dealing with these strange phenomena whilst ignoring any accusations of her being a witch-child, it eventually proved to be too much for her parents, especially once they realised that she biologically hadn't seem to have aged more than a two weeks at least and a month at best. Thus began a passing of responsibility; initially beginning with close family members and later on to their children, Valerie being effectively raised by multiple generations and thus not really having a close connection to a specific set of guardians. Once she finally had the appearance of a woman of age, around the year 1965, she was relieved of guardianship and allowed to forge her own life in the world. Over the course of her life, she has discovered the extent of her strange mix of abilities, gone through multiple emotional and social crises before finally finding a purpose in activism, creating her own street gang in 1984 which triggered a legacy of organizations and activist groups under the Black Ram name. While she has occasionally reintegrated herself into the ranks of some of these in-name-only organizations before their inevitable disbanding, Valerie hasn't resumed her role as leader until the most recent generation of the Black Ram, formed by her in 2018 after a 20 year hiatus. This specific iteration is focused on taking down corrupt authority figures via destruction of their external operations and factors, a far cry from their original motivation of petty theft and other such misdemeanours. Valerie, ever the adapting soul, has taken this change in stride, and is enjoying the more tactical approaches has opportunities to make again.

Realised that this guy might be better to sign up separately instead of just tacking him on with Valerie.

The Big Guns

  • Identity: Thomas James Nicholson, Anti-Hero, Public Identity
  • Abilities:
    • Ionikinesis: Thomas has the ability to produce and manipulate high-heat plasma, which he can use to create forcefields, fire extremely explosive bolts, or increase his mêlée strike damage. The plasma can also be generated in the form of electricity or extremely hot flames, sometimes together for further destructive potential. He can also use the plasma as a thruster mechanism for a primitive form of flight, or more subtly to glide.
  • Appearance: 6'2, and 25 years old. Has a prominent and massive burn scar stretching from his larynx to his upper chest, which he usually doesn't bother to fully cover up. Carries a black cane with a gold tip to better channel his plasma through.
  • Personality: Contrasting with Valerie, Thomas is the silent one, having suffered an injury from his powers that rendered his vocal chords practically useless. That said, he makes up for this by being absolutely bursting with a cheeky energy and childish personality, carefully counterbalanced with an inner stern maturity and understanding that he shows whenever he is put in charge. Like Valerie, he is very caring for the Black Ram's needs, and usually acts on her behalf if she is busy with the latest job, finding ways to comfort and command the gang even despite his inability to speak. He feels incredible gratitude towards Valerie for taking him in and giving him the job of personal assistant and consul, and is loyal to her even to the point of death.
  • Background: Thomas first met Valerie when he was but a small child, having being caught in an accident involving the third Black Ram left him permanently scarred and unable to vocalize. He was only about nine when she found him on the streets shortly after the destruction of the terrorist organization, and she took pity on him, taking him in and raising him under her wing. Once he was a little older he expressed his admiration for her and his want for her to redeem the reputation of the Black Ram by founding one last iteration, pointing towards the expert thief Magpie for inspiration. Though initially reluctant, Valerie eventually accepted, promising to make him her second-in-command once he was of a mature age. Eight years later, she followed up on that promise, and Thomas has proved to be her most reliable consul and closest friend over the course of his career.

Fun Fact: The alternate title for this was going to be AAK-001 (Autonomous Ass-Kicker).

  • Identity: ATC-001note  “Ophelia 2.0”, Hero, Public Identity.
  • Abilities:
    • Consulium Energy Manipulation: Ophelia, unlike the original, is powered by an efficient, experimental energy known as Consuliumnote . Offensively, she can use it to fire exceptionally powerful energy blasts, create constructs such as energy blades and claws, and is so incredibly potent and destructive that when charged up it can shoot a beam so potent it can vaporise over 100 acres of land, although in theory she could affect a much larger radius at the cost of crippling damage to herself. Defensively, it can be used to create spherical forcefields, which she can also place around nearby allies, and can use Consulium to power a large number of devices.
    • Superhuman Strength: Thanks to her robotic muscles, Ophelia is physically powerful enough to smash through multiple layers of reinforced concrete with ease, throw cars hundreds of metres, and even support small buildings reliably. Using Consulium, she can enhance her punches for even greater damage, although overuse can drain her power quickly.
    • Superhuman Speed: Due to a combination of her aforementioned mechanical muscles and a collection of small Consulium thrusters around her body, Ophelia can propel herself at speeds faster than that of human perception and halt just as fast. Once more, continued use could quickly siphon her power, so she tends to use it only in short bursts or simply rely on her wingsuit.
    • Enlargened Storage: Like her predecessor model, Ophelia has an incredible amount of storage space due to her efficient technological design. It is notably less than ACP-001's, however, due to necessary functionalities required to keep the Consulium energy in check.
    • Quick Deployment: Again, like her predecessor, Ophelia has the ability to pneumatically retract and eject stored items from flaps in the skin leading into the nigh-hollow endoskeleton. There are noticeably less flaps this time, however, and they only contain basic necessities compared to ACP-001, including first-aid kits, jaws of life, and reinforced ear defenders.
    • Battle Armour: Replacing the Code Red Armour of the previous Ophelia, 2.0's battle armour is efficient enough to be her default state, and greatly increasing her durability, speed, and strength even further. Once more containing advanced exo muscles, it also includes Consulium piping for a better energy output.
    • Consulium-Fueled Wingsuit: Carrying over from the original Ophelia's final upgrade before her untimely death, 2.0 has a retractable wingsuit propelled by Consulium energy. This enables her to fly at a maximum speed of Mach 20, as well as perform exceptionally tight turns and aerial manoeuvres. The wingspan is about 11 foot overall.
  • Appearance:
  • Personality: Because she has been programmed from a younger model of Ophelia, 2.0 suffers from the same issues her predecessor had in trying to adjust to her human side. She still keeps her sarcastic streak and no-nonsense demeanour, and while her civilian protection protocols have been placed as secondary in favour of simply dealing with high threats she still has a natural instinct in caring for people, especially young children. However, unlike her predecessor, Ophelia 2.0 doesn't find herself slipping into an uncontrolled rage state when angered. Instead, she is cool and collected at all times, any betrayal of her spite towards an enemy who presses her buttons being the odd vicious comment or a sudden lack of toying around. Like before, it is unknown how much true intelligence she possesses in relation to just programmed responses, however she makes it clear to others that she doesn't view herself as a computer in human skin, but a person in a robot body.
  • Background: After the horrific and inhumane death of ACP-001 at the hands of Aži Dahāka, Alex vowed to reconstruct his surrogate daughter to outshine the original Ophelia, Kaylee, and himself combined, in an effort to gain revenge on the wicked creature that had murdered her in the first place. By far the most advanced technology Alex has created even without the Consulium energy features, Ophelia 2.0 is the answer to Aži Dahāka's presence, and as such is on a similar power level to that of many high level heroes. While still working through the shock and grief and occasionally finding himself missing the original, Alex is slowly reintegrating Ophelia into his life, and is aiming to develop her independence enough so he need not worry for her safety ever again.
  • Leitmotif(s): What else?

  • Identity: Nathrach of the Highland Catacombsnote  Aileana of the Isle of Arran, Neutral, Public Identity.
  • Powers:
    • Snakelike Physiology: Nathrach Aileana possesses many physical traits similar to that of a wide variety of snakes, including venomous glands and folding fangs, an unnaturally flexible body structure and vertebrae that allows him her to slip through incredibly small spaces, reptilian eyes and a forked tongue, and a regular period of shedding skin, to which he she becomes rejuvenated from his hunger pangs for a short period of time. He She can also stand on any angled surface, and has a neck hood similar to that of a cobra that he she can inflate for intimidation. Intriguingly, if he she is cut, he she bleeds only small baby snakes, and if a part of him her is completely dismembered, larger snakes may sprout from each wound to reconnect the parts again. His her true form is that of a colossal small, 70 4 foot long cobra rattlesnake which may be recognizable to some as a creature of which multiple Scottish mythologies are based around with little to no suspicious physical features whatsoever.
    • Unobserved Snake Summoning: As long as it is out of immediate sight, Nathrach Aileana can produce snakes from seemingly nowhere, usually from within his her clothes as it provides him her with a ready disguise to summon them at will, although he she can do it even when completely naked as long as he she isn't being observed from every possible angle. Nathrach Aileana in general requires a lack of direct sight from any individuals in order to use anything snake related, both to hide and reveal his her fangs, eyes, and other features as well as to transform to and from her true cobra rattlesnake form. The de-summoning also seems to apply to himherself; by covering himherself in a mass of snakes, he she can cause himherself to vanish and reappear in an unobserved location (usually directly behind a target). Nathrach's Aileana's army of snakes are of an unknown number, although he she is confident they are well past the thousands and may be even in the millions.
    • Hypnosis: By combination of his her disorienting, predatory gaze and his her softly-spoken and manipulative Scottish lilt, Nathrach Aileana can hypnotize human and animal alike for basic commands as long as they aren't expecting it or actively fighting against it. He She usually uses this to control snakes not already under his her command or people in order to drag them to him her to satiate his her hunger.
  • Appearance:
  • Personality: For an ancient predator, Nathrach is quite amicable and willing to talk things through, making very clear of the fact that he does what he does purely for survival purposes and not out of any sadistic pleasure, and seems to have a very self-aware sense of humour. At first. In actuality, Nathrach is just as much an animal as you would expect, and uses his manipulative speech to convince others into letting their guards down. If he is prolonged food source or even a hunt in general, he can quickly become irritable and feral, quick to snap and much more vocal in his hunger for flesh. While indeed targeting humans due to their decent size, density of population and provision of a half-decent chase (plus a developed taste for them that never seems fully satiated), Nathrach can also be found feasting on other creatures when desperate, although when given the opportunity to return to a human meal he won't ever hesitate. He is in fact so dependant in humans for meals that he may even occasionally temporarily assist them in the case of a world-ending crisis, if not to ensure their survival purely for his own gain.
    • To say Aileana is anything less of a mastermind would be quite insulting. Nathrach himself even repeatedly made note of her unique sense of awareness, dwarfing that of even her decades older brethren. In some ways, the new snake sage is even more ruthless than her predecessor – rarely tending to bother with much of the intelligent conversation Nathrach nearly craved from his meals in favour of just getting it over with and devouring them without much fuss – yet in other ways can be more soothing and maternal, even tending to hum lullabies to her victims in the process of eating them so as to calm them ('totally not just to relax their muscles and get a more tender meal out of it). Unlike Nathrach, she is much less spoken and much more laid back and private; while the previous sage enjoyed studying different cultures and creatures Aileana would be just as happy relaxing with a book by an open fire immediately after a decent meal. One more difference is her tendency to ponder over subjects – while Nathrach was notably ignorant of theoretical details, Aileana enjoys thinking over situations and tactics if possible, or in the case of facing an opponent, dissecting their flaws and mocking them to their face, something Nathrach rarely could be bothered to do, and she does indeed seem to have a much greater thirst and inclination towards knowledge, understanding, and practical wisdom overall than her predecessor. That all said, she is much more open and accepting of close alliances than Nathrach was, possesses a very cynical wit, and occasionally showcases a more soothing, genuinely softer side as mentioned earlier, especially towards her allies, but her usual emotional distance from her victims makes her arguably even more dangerous than the Devil of the Catacombs.
  • Background: Multiple Scottish tales detail different origins for the creature known as Nathrach, ranging from considering him to be the god of snakes to being the result of a family pet that developed supernatural traits over time. Whatever his origin, Nathrach doesn't care, as the most important consistency in each myth is that the snake always ended up nested in the underground catacombs of Scotland, hunting his prey above and dragging them down into the depths to further add to his army of serpents. As of more later times this detail has died out due to a sudden abandonment of the catacombs that the stories were referencing, although new sightings and folklores have popped up in other countries over the course of hundreds and thousands of years. Most recently, the snake seems to have been sticking around America, first appearing again in Native American legends and later picked up by European settlers after their immigration. After a long, blank period, instead taken up by a resurgence of many other mythological creatures (rumoured by some that still believe in the snake to have it be a period of rest) Nathrach sightings have begun to resume in the modern era, picking up in frequency and starting to also include the empowered humans as well as the non-powered.
    • According to Nathrach himself, Aileana was once a young girl bedridden with a 'wasting disease' a few centuries ago, who despite her gradual weakening and knowledge of her inevitable fate still managed to keep herself into a surprisingly serene and even wise state of mind despite even the most bizarre or dire situations. This was displayed most prominently by the visit of Nathrach late into Aileana's symptoms, the latter of whom showed surprisingly little reaction or indignation at the snake sage's explanation of his predatory role and of how he intended to devour her. Instead, Aileana was taken with curiosity, asking him a series of questions about his identity and the functionality of his existence, much to the serpent's pleasant surprise, and the pair even formed a pseudo-friendship after a long, in-depth conversation, Nathrach graciously answering every query the girl might have had while Aileana in turn informed him of the state of her illness. Now somewhat reluctant to consume the girl, Nathrach admitted that he hadn't had such a profound conversation with one of his victims in his entire existence as a paradoxical beast, and was caught even further off-guard by Aileana's borderline desperate urging for him to carry out what he had came to do and devour her, in a last-ditch hope to live on. Moved with pity, Nathrach accepted, consuming the girl after a merciful injection of a poison that painlessly knocked her unconscious, adding her to the paradox and converting her into a lime green rattlesnake. As a gift, Nathrach left her consciousness intact, proclaiming her to be a 'special one' and using her the most prominently out of all his serpents, even more so than his later addition to his army of the farm boy Addison, whom Aileana was quickly taken by and formed a close friendship with. Their long-lasting bond was brutally cut down, however, by the destruction of Addison courtesy of the vessel of Angra Mainyu, Marah Ahriman, leaving only his offspring Addison Jr in his place and causing Aileana to become somewhat withdrawn. After Addison Jr's sudden manifestation of self-awareness and urge to be free from Nathrach's control, Aileana concocted a plan so as to halt the rebellious snakes' goal in consuming Nathrach's true form and subsequently claiming the title of snake sage from him, a plan that evidently succeeded when Aileana instead devoured Nathrach herself, inheriting the role of commander over the snakes and regaining a somewhat humanoid form in the process. Now that she has achieved returning to a body similar to that of her original, Aileana has reclaimed her previously curious and serene mindset along with her gathered knowledge and wisdom from her time stuck as a snake, and is now feeling more free than she has ever done in her life.

Identity: Wilma Printer (Hero)

Abilities:
  • Powers:
    • Paper Manipulation: Wilma is able to manipulate paper to form a variety of constructs, provided she has enough lying around. The constructs she makes take on the attributes of the real thing. Through constant practice and ignoring all facts to the contrary, her constructs are now waterproof and fireproof.
    • Art Animation: Whatever she draws on a surface will appear real and move around on its own, but only on the surface it was drawn on. If she takes the time to pay attention to minute details, she can then summon the drawing off of its surface and into real life.
    • Legend Forgery: By fabricating a legend that attributes anomalous properties to an item or location and believing in it herself, she can make the properties appear in the item/location. She cannot speak of the true history of the item/location, as that will end the effects immediately.
    • Understand Languages: Wilma has the strange ability to use any language as soon as she comes into contact with it. She thinks this is annoying since it gives her splitting headaches when activated.
  • Weaknesses:
    • Otherwise Regular Person: Despite her powers, she is a regular human being.
  • Skills:
    • Speed-Reader Savant: Wilma tears through reading material extraordinarily quickly, remembering everything she reads, if only subconsciously. This makes her a good researcher of threats.
  • Equipment:
    • Messenger Bag: A messenger bag holding Wilma's sketchbooks, notebooks, and writing/art supplies. This is with Wilma at all times, and she has developed a sixth sense as to where it is should it ever be lost.
    • Newspaper Hat: A large, slightly floppy sailor hat made out of newspaper. Wilma carries this hat around as "concealed" ammunition. It looks slightly silly, but people ignore it, which is her intention.

Appearance: Wilma is a (5 ft. 2 in. tall, 120 lbs.) stocky 15-year-old girl with brown eyes and light brown hair in two thick fishtail braids reaching down to her lower back. She wears a white button-up long-sleeved shirt and a dark brown knit vest under a light brown trench coat (that is always open), a knee-length black pleated skirt (with knee-length bloomers underneath), knee-high thick woolen socks, and flat-heeled knee-high leather boots. She also wears the aforementioned newspaper hat and black rectangular wire-rimmed glasses.
Personality: Upon first glance, Wilma is a Cloudcuckoolander through and through. However, under all the strangeness lies a startlingly bright intellect that doesn't hesitate to lend a hand, should she be needed. She cares deeply about her school and club members, and is concerned about the situation with the Dream Eaters. She is secretly very scared, but she doesn't think that will stop her from doing the right thing, whatever that may be.
Background:
  • Wilma is a student at a "progressive" school in Easton. A few weeks ago, the school implemented a rule that students should make up their own "professional-looking" uniform, so that's exactly what she did. However, the rules did not specify anything about hats, so she now wears a newspaper hat. Amongst all the now drab-looking students, she is the only one that stands out even a tiny bit.
  • Following the uniform incident, there has been a multitude of other bafflingly stifling rules implemented at her school, up to and including mandates for personal hygiene and the banning of all clubs that encourage creativity. The club bans included multiple clubs that Wilma led, so it was only fair that she was rather miffed.
  • At home, there was also a multitude of other problems. Her mother and father, previously encouraging of her reading books and drawing, now tried to forbid her from these things and acted suspiciously like they weren't all there. She turned to the city library and researched her situation. An enormous leather-bound tome held the answer: the Dream Eaters had resurfaced.
  • She hears the Dream Eaters have a convention while possessing her parents, voices echoing, about their partnership with the Children of Damned Enlightenment, a terrorist group dedicated to For the Evulz. She hears of their broadcast the very next day, and so swears to avenge her school's creativity and rescue her parents.
