Lucy, terrified of Matten's wrath, was effectively made mute, and simply clung onto Hei while shaking terribly. She heard him apologise to the daeva, and she raised her head again.
"N-no... it's my fault... I-I'm s-sorry, Matten. I d-didn't mean t-to upset you... A-and H-Hei's right, I-I didn't... s-sneak him i-in, h-he c-came in b-by himself..." she added, blushing a little at the thought.
She was feeling utterly exhausted at this point. There was a light pressure in her skull that she recognized as an oncoming headache. She sighed, finally pulling away from Hei.
"I-I'm s-sorry... I j-just cause trouble a-all the t-time. It's my fault."
At that last part she clutched her head with her hand and winced. She made a note to find some headache pills at some point.

Hei frowned at Lucy’s self-deprication, and leaned down slighty to look her in the eye. “No, this is n-not your fault Lucy.” He told her in a firmer tone. “Trust me. I grew up in the underbelly o-of the slums. I know trouble when I see it. If anything, I should be apologizing for the trouble caused for y-you.”

Lucy went red and looked down but nonetheless listened to Hei. "R-Right. I'm s-sor-" she began, before a certain phrase suddenly registered in her mind.
It's not your fault...
"...I m-mean, okay. I-I'll try n-not to put myself d-down so much."
Emphasis on try, she thought to herself.
Finally looking him in the eye, she gave him a small, shy smile. "T-thank you, Hei. I'll m-make it up to y-you sometime, alright?" she said gratefully, pointedly avoiding looking in the direction of the canvas.

"How cute that is..." Matten cocked her head at the Sickeningly Sweethearts. "Well, I don't need the bandages, not that you remember anyway..." She stared hard at the pair. They even have matching stutters. If anything kills the two of them it'll be something like that an inopportune time. She steadily focused more on Hei. Hm... "If you say so, Hei Lin, and 'Matten Mahsa Mattiuza', about right. And if you say so." She glanced at the girl trying to dive into his chest. "Is that true, Lucy, that you weren't playing with me? Your companion said it already, but you're hard to believe when he does the talking and you're hiding your face." Briefly, she gave a sideways glance at Rosalinda. "And another one? Rebecca's already got two of you lined up—but here, now. No. Don't worry about my decency. I'm not here to try and take Becca's attention away from you. I just felt Lucy calling there." Matten stretched out, making a pose—and showing off her bloody patches from her fun earlier, but grinning nonetheless. "And godly beauty has no time and place. It just is."

Rosalinda made a "WTF" face at this nonsense.
"Comrade Mattiuza, are you sure you you are not drunk?"

Caleb had got distracted and spaced out for a while, ignoring the room shenanigans. He eventually pulled himself back together and wandered down the corridor. It seemed like not having a roommate wasn't an option, so he found the room of one of the guys who had just wandered off earlier (Mikael).
"Huh. Guess he wandered off."
"From here, really" He admitted "But I apparently spent a couple years in Chile, Valdivia, to be exact, but I was too young to really remember"
Sam's hand went to his chin.
"And I took a couple trips to Canada, Antarctica and the like" He continued "I guess we seek the cold"
"And where are you from?" He asked.
Ever wasn't expecting Sam to ask the same question back. The time she had spent in the facility had ill prepared her for casual conversation. Silently, the girl thanked the director for forcing her to read the cover up until she memorized the story.
"I'm from all over really. My dad is a scientist that does a lot of travelling from place to place. He is working on a project that numerous labs are taking part in. He liked to work near where the most progress was being made. Mom mostly hung on for the ride, but we had to stop moving when her health wouldn't allow her to travel any more." Ever tapped her finger against her chin, pretending to try and remember something. "Mom said I was born in Tennessee, but my earliest memories are of Oregon."
Ever was silent for a second, unsure of how to continue.
"Well, I guess you know about my family," She lied, "what's yours like? You said you sought out the cold?"
Hesitantly turning to Matten, Lucy managed to bring herself to look her in the eye, and spoke in a quiet, yet determined voice. "I-I wasn't p-playing around. I j-just didn't expect you to h-hear, t-that's all. I'm s-sorry," she apologized.
If she can 'feel' cries for help then I don't know whether to be glad or afraid...

Matten returned the girl's look, finally frowning and bowing her head. "Then as you are, Lucy." She sighed a bit. "I rarely anger when I'm called. It's just been, nevermind. I never even told you about that. So don't," Matten cocked her head, stopping her initial phrase. By all evidence, none needed her tonight. Not living up to physical godhood yet... "Just forget—no. Don't forget I was here. That's impossible anyway. Again. Be at ease. I'm leaving." Without hope. Without witness. Without reward. Not like she consciously or happily thought of them, but the words had been ringing back all day. "No." she answered sharply to Rosa, on the way to the door. "But intoxication was part of a very unique attempt at killing me."
Sam nodded, before taking a deep breath and starting his tale.
"My dad is a retired hero" He started "Right now, he works as a lawyer helping the mayor, he seems serious, but is a sweet guy most of the time, my mom is a high school teacher, English, if you want to know, she can get scary when she gets mad" He chuckled.
The cryokinetic teen looked at the sky before continuing.
"I am not the first one on my family to have these powers" He raised a hand and a crystal appeared. "My dad and my brother have them too, and apparently it comes from my great grandfather (or just grandfather, depending on how you look at it), who had a run in with radiation on the forties" He paused.
"My brother is a hero too, if the name Glaze sounds familiar to you, and an architect on the side. He is a great guy, confident and joking. Guess I feel like I have to do my best to make them proud" He smiled.
"So, how do you like the school so far?" He asked. "I have the feeling we are in for a wild ride"
Well, with that rude intrusion dealt with, Rebecca turned her mind to the next thing on her to-do list after securing a room. Inviting people to Mike’s party. Out of everyone, Rebecca was probably on best terms with Lucy, so why not prioritize her? Before leaving the room, she momentarily contemplated whether she should put on pants. Meh, she was wearing panties, and it wasn’t like she minded if people saw her in her underwear. She was fine.
Thus, dressed in a t-shirt and panties, Rebecca walked upstairs and knocked on what she was pretty sure was Lucy’s door.
Ever nodded. "Yes, I've been enjoying myself so far. Except for touching Rebecca... and getting trapped in a looping hallway..."
Ever thought for a second. Was "yes" just an automatic answer? Had she really enjoyed her time here? She supposed she had, but for the briefest of moments Ever was inspired to be more critical of this place from here on.
"I suppose you're right about the wild ride." She sighed, "Well, what about you? How has your first day been?"
Dormitory—Lucy & Ever Matten didn't know her compatriots that well, but feeling out into the hallway she got the distinct impression of well, the only one she had seen recently with bared skin and a decent layer of earth and life on top of that. Still in her retreat, but now grinning widely, Matten swings open the door when she hears the knock, just enough difference in timing that it might have been accidental. "Oh, there she is!" Matten nopped deeply, almost head to floor in utmost respect. "The temptress of matchless talent, I would hug you right now if I could, but then you might have poor little me in your power in no time." She put a hand to her forehead, threw her head back, and swooned like, well, like a schoolgirl. Matten looked over her shoulder—that is turned her head around 270 degrees to look over her shoulder, previous emotions apparently forgotten. "Lucy, I believe its for you. Probably Ever Green and Hei Lin too. Make her work for her prize though. I bet she has the energy!" Walking past Rebecca, Matten curtsied as she passed her. "Respect and regards!" She put a finger to her chin. "And this is technically Lucy's room, so I'm afraid she needs to invite you in, but don't be discouraged. Your work is an inspiration to us all. Please, tell me all about it in the morning!"

Upon Matten flinging open the door to the room, Lucy froze up, going so red that you could practically hear a kettle hissing in the background. Numbly detaching herself from her attack-hug state on Hei, she walked stiffly over to Rebecca, grabbing the door and closing it behind her to shut them in the hallway and block Hei's vision.
She wasn't that bothered by Rebecca's... slightly declothed state; she had a sister and a brother after all, but she had suddenly been made very aware of Hei's presence.
"Y-Yes, Rebecca? W-was there something y-you needed?" she asked with a slightly strained attempt at a polite tone. Her minor headache was starting to escalate into a full blown migraine at this point, and her blush was getting very close to becoming her regular skin tone.

Rosalinda's nose twitched, but she refrained from commenting on the odor. Instead, she said.
"Rebecca, good to see your state of dress has improved, but you still have a long way to go."
"It's been interesting, to say the least" Sam admitted "Might be difficult to keep up if things keep happening beyond the classes, though" Looking in front of him, he commented.
"I think we arrived"
Matten’s comments were simply met with a glare as she walked away.
“Don’t listen to her, she has no idea what she’s talking about!”
Rosa’s comment garnered a chuckle.
“Yeah, sorry about that. I had no idea I wasn’t wearing a bra and a certain pervert had no intention of telling me. But come on, we’re in the privacy of the dorms, you don’t expect me to keep those stuffy clothes on, fo you?”
As Lucy closed them into the hallway and asked her purpose, Rebecca replied simply.
“Mike’s throwing a party in his room at 9:30 tonight, and he asked me to spread the word. So if you or your roommate want to come, that’d be awesome. Oh, but don’t tell that Hei guy! He totally burst into my room and started staring at my tits earlier!”
Lucy blinked several times at that last part, looking between Rebecca and the closed door with a disbelieving expression on her face.
"R-Right..." she said uncertainly. "I-I'll... er... keep t-that in mind..."
Although Hei did spontaneously appear into their room, his genuinely kind and concerned behaviour contrasted with that, so Lucy found Rebecca's claim of him to be a pervert a little hard to believe.
A dark, pessimistic part of her suggested that he'd only tried to comfort her in order to get near her, but she shook that train of thought off in an instant. It was her who had hugged him, after all, and he seemed just as awkward about it as she felt afterwards.
Thinking back on it caused her to regain her blush, and so she tried to distract herself with the idea of this apparent party.
"I-I... d-don't get m-me wrong, b-but I... I d-don't think I'm i-in the mood," she answered honestly, before hastily retracting her comment with a frantic wave of her hands as she realised how it might come across. "W-wait, n-no! N-Not like that! I m-mean like... well... with e-everything that h-happened today... I-I just can't s-see myself d-doing v-very well in a party... at the m-moment at least..." she clarified, wringing her hands and looking down at the floor.
The idea was nice, she supposed, but she had a lot of things on her mind right now, and she felt as if she would prefer a quieter evening to ease herself in. Plus the notorious rowdiness of teenage parties wasn't something she enjoyed the thought of.
"M-maybe n-next time? I-I'll d-definitely tell Ever a-anyway, she might l-like it," she finally answered, looking back up at Rebecca whilst nervously chewing her lip. Hopefully in a few days time she'd be comfortable enough to at the very least tolerate being in that kind of environment. Maybe she would even enjoy herself.
What with the hard-light Godzillas and the legions of murder bots, anything was possible.

Outside The Dorms
"Hey man - I'm going to make some calls in the room, try to spread the word about the party. I'll catch you later. Oh also, dibs on DJ duty!" Mike called to Liam before going off to his room to do just that. While he had other things to do such as going over his syllabuses and maybe seeing about trying out for the football team, he decided to put all that nonsense off for tomorrow and completely prioritize the party. While his newfound friends and other classmates might be up to the task of partying for their right to fight, he couldn't be sure of that. What he could be sure of was that some of his old friends would definitely be down to party and would almost certainly be willing to make the hour-and-a-half drive from the next town over to party with superpowered teenagers. While his old popularity at his former school hadn't done him a whole lot of good here, he still figured it could still do him some favors now.
"Tyler? It's Mike. Listen, do you still talk to Emani and Rita? Drive them after practice to come visit me...I guarantee you that it will be worth your fucking time, man. Quote me on that. How many people? Man, you bring as many people as you can fit in that shitty ass van and you make sure that most of them are girls and we'll take care of the rest." Mike promised his old friend, already envisioning dazzling his old classmates with his newfound powers and impressing his new classmates with all the friends he used to have. This party was going to be epic and would change lives. It certainly meant the world to Mike.
"Yup this is the place. Look, over there." Ever pointed to a conspicuously placed, and empty planter box. "I assume that that's the stuff."
Ever approached the planter box and made to pick it up before having second thoughts. What if it wasn't the stuff? She better leave a note, just in case. Ever quickly dug out a marker and plucked a leaf from her hair.
Hello, Ms. Flora
I found a planter box set out and assumed it was meant for me as we had discussed such earlier today. I have taken the liberty of moving it, since you were not around. If I have made a mistake I will gladly assist in moving it back.
Best of regards,
P.S. This is one of my leaves. I did not take one off any of the plants in your care.
Ever capped the marker and stuffed it back into one of her pouches, and stuck the note beneath a nearby rock. And then leaned over and picked up one end of the box.
"Do you think you could get the other end?"
The Dorms, Later That Night
With the dorms largely settled and Interceptor deciding not to give everyone a detention, everything was in place for everyone to have the time of their lives. Or at least that's what Liam and Mike thought. In any case, they'd made their plans, got everything together, and hoped in vain that Interceptor wouldn't barge in at some point and tell them they had detention for turning the place into a disaster area. Regardless, they were ready to party. The only question was, was everyone else? Only time would tell...
Lucy sighed, stepping back from her easel to look at her progress. The painting of Hei was basically done now, she only had to wait for it to dry before she... gave it to him.
She had been trying to avoid thinking about that part, as every scenario her mind created either ended in tears or just made her feel lightheaded from embarrassment. But nonetheless, that was something she'd have to do eventually.
Setting down her painting items, she yawned widely. Even though it was still fairly early, she decided it best to get some sleep, and so she quickly slipped her pajamas on and clambered into her bed.
Yawning quietly and rubbing her eyes, she slowly laid her head down onto the pillow and nuzzled into it. Lucy's eyes drooped, and she was soon asleep.
"Aw, how sweet. His bitch of a sister wants to play too. Louis, take care of her."
"No, please! Stop it! STOP HURTING HIM, PLEASE!"
For about half a minute she sat there, her frantic heartbeat eventually calming down. She hadn't slept for very long at all, a few minutes at most judging by the clock next to the bed.
Feeling a wetness on her cheeks, she rubbed her eyes free of any tears, feeling ashamed of herself. She crawled back into her bed quietly, pulling up her covers again and trying hard to rid herself of thoughts regarding the dream.
Her eyes once again felt heavy, and she started to drift off. However, as she was on the verge of unconsciousness, she could have sworn that the image on Hei's portrait had changed. Indeed, for the tiniest fraction of a second, the canvas contained a dark, blurry face of little feature.◊ It was difficult to tell whether it was actually physically present or simply a product of her tired imagination.
Before she could think to get up and investigate, she had fallen asleep once more. This time, there were no dreams. There was only the image of that haunting face staring at her, a heavy feeling of foreboding welling up in the back of her mind.

Dormitory—Lucy & Ever Aww...look at The Cutie and her Catapult Nightmare... Matten had returned after another round in the training room. She had meant to knock this time, but such an intense feeling of distress, well she was more discriminate this time. Besides, both Lucy and Ever could take care of things. Which in now way meant that she didn't pop in anyway to watch the girl-child jump up and then settle back to sleep. Still, she didn't appear face to face with her target as before, watching from the corner of the room. I bet the good doctor can whip up some stop-gap for that. I could do it better though, but you'd have to share your soul with me. Matten gazed at the girl-child a tad longer letting her drift off. Better not have Robert Englund in that head of yours. Casting a quick glance at Ever sort of just standing still, Matten returned to the girl with the equivalent of alot of adrenaline...and a bit more staining her aura, before. Alas, they were but broad strokes. Matten neither knew Lucy well enough, nor had her soul so as to get everything. In any case, she left for the grounds outside before examining her—or meant to. Well, that's fascinating. Matten cast a questioning probe around the two occupants before slipping out of the room. Wonder how you perceive truth? Matten sighed as she shut the door, with extreme care. Free to traverse by her own means, she settled on the side with their window, and gave it a brief glance. You were the only one that Dr. Bozo's vision mentioned by name. And Saint kept Liam for some secret I don't know yet. All you say in your sleep is nonsense. And I came when you called. Twice. Who are you two toying with...?

Oliver entered the Training Room with a sports duffel bag, and looked around. There wasn't anyone there, at least, he could see anyone, but he felt some residual energy in the room. It was probably Matten, she seemed like she has a lot of potential energy kicking around in her. He pulled out his speaker, put on some power-metal, and toyed around with the console. He set up a scenario similar to the one that caused him to leave the orbit of his home, except it was only him against the giant robot. He didn't want to simulate his allies dying to seemingly endless hordes of robots. He wasn't ready to. Later Oliver hit the wall at mach speeds for the 4th time. "Damnit!" He was getting sloppy, and tired, so he took a quick walk around the hall outside the training room, hoping not to run into a staff member.
