Making this YMMV seems straightforward. A split seems pointless to me and requires an undue amount of work.

Looking at Unequal Pairing, there's no trope for romantic plots with these specific characters. It doesn't quite fit Teacher/Student Romance, and Merlin and Nimue is even more specific, about magicians only. It kind of feels like there's a gap missing in the objective tropes there, so just turning it into YMMV feels like cutting part of it out.

Nothing with the name ship in it should be a canon trope outside Shipper on Deck, it's subtrope Shipper with an Agenda, and the opposing trope Shipping Torpedo. I would support renames for all of these too.
Canon relationships should be a different trope like Mentor Student Relationship or something.

Mentor Ship is a bit of a confusing page, in that it combines both canon examples and Shipping examples of mentors being romantically involved with their students.
My proposal is a fairly straightforward "Add it to the YMMV index", but does anyone think the canon examples could be salvaged in some way or moved to a separate trope?
