I was wondering "what issues" until I looked further into it.

I don't really understand why it happened myself.

But I don't think it would affect a fighting game

Sony suddenly decided it had a problem and asked for the mode to be removed or the localized game gets canned on the PS 4. X Seed complied because it'd be stupid to cancel over an optional mode anyway. There's a bit more discussion of it on the last couple of pages of the Senran thread here.

For the record, the Steam version keeps the mode.

Why this would affect Cross Tag at all is a really weird notion to have, as mentioned. It's not like they'd specifically add in that mode if SK got into Cross Tag, so the concern is moot. :/

I mean, that tends to mostly be related to the Foe Yay Shipping aspect of said rivalries. Because, fun fact. Ragna/Jin and Sol/Ky are the most popular ships in their respective series` lol.
