Switch port open beta in August; launches September 28th, comes with new local 1v1, 2v2, and offline local party 6v6.

This game just got so much better.

Hopefully 6 players party mode will also be on the other consoles.

Normally I'm all for representing every part of Dragonball - my ideal Dragonball game is where I can semi-accurately reenact every battle. Tenkaichi 3 was the closest they ever got.

But in a game like Fighter Z this does feel like a waste. I could excuse Bardock and Broly's Wolverine Publicity because they were just DLC add-ons and neither of them were canon anyway.

And, you know, being separate characters.

Also, just found out Daman Mills exists. I didn't notice any difference between his and Chris Ayer's Freeza voices.

I'm disappointed that Original Anime Colors Vegeta doesn't have red hair.

Original Recipe Vegeta has that Dirty Fireworks attack in his combo. That's neat.

Rather liking old school Goku's intro.

Lots of call backs, even in the pose he makes when falling.

The Nappakiller is a grab super, like Trunks's Heat Dome, it would seem. Meaning that this is one Vegeta that can't actually do the YOU COCKY BASTARD strategy of wakeup Final Flash.

Based solely on Supersonic Warriors 2, Cooler will be 4th Form. He will be able to summon his Armored Squadron, like Ginyu. He will transform into his 5th form, but only for his Level 3.

I'd prefer if he was permanently 5th form since it sets him visually apart from Frieza and is, well, cooler.

I would too. I think Supersonic Warriors Cooler is possibly the lamest way to make Cooler I've ever seen. I'm just saying that there's precedent.

Supersonic Warriors also had Vegetto just be a move.

To clarify: Supersonic Warriors 2 introduced Team Attacks, which could be done with 200% ki and the right characters in the team. Here are all the standard ones the game tells you about:

I really love this mechanic, and I feel it can make for some great character interactions. It's one thing that I really wish was in this game in one way or another, but the closest we get are Krillin, Piccolo, and Goku being included in 18, Gotenks, and adult Gohan's Level 3s, respectively.

Based on the trailer, I guess Goku's Kaio-ken is more of a traditional beat-down super rather than an install as expected?

Well they look just as boring as I imagine them to be.

But hey, Vegeta has both of his Saiyan & Namek saga moveset. It would've been impossible for him to use any of that if he was any other outfit.

The moves he pulls after activation don’t look predetermined: it looks more like gets hits and launchers that are really easy to combo into eachother.

I’m reminded a bit of Karin’s V Trigger in SFV.

Except the leak said Cooler will be in his final form from the get go and it has been right about everything else.

Transforming into his final form might even be his intro.

But ultimately his other forms in the game don't have the moveset that Base Vegeta has.

And that's enough to have 2 characters being DLC or is because they're so highly requested in Japan? This isn't like Jin & Devil Jin. Especially I never had to pay for Devil Jin to begin with.

Honestly, from what little we see from this trailer, Base-Goku appeals to me more than SSJ-Goku. The move set seems much more lively!

Well... yes. That's usually how this works.

I wonder if 17 will have a variation of 16's self-destruct move.
