The alt right hates women period just as much as minorities. They even hate conservative / far right women - because they're dumb.

And as we see from Shield Hero and that one show where the writer guy was revealed to be an antisemitic dirt bag, the far right are involved with the media they consume.

So considering how much Shin Yoshida despises women, its not too far to say he probably loves Hitler.

In any event, of all the BS "I win because fuck you" moments in the franchise, Tesseract Hydradrive Monarch is one that really gets my goat. They should have given Soulburner the axe instead.

I'm less inclined to think it's anything malicious and more shortsightedness than anything.

Yugioh is a Merchandise-Driven series, it exists to promote the card game before anything else. Your plot importance is almost proportionate to how much your deck will sell.

The females tend to be saddled with the decks that either don't sell or have Anime only decks, hence they are "expendable".

So yea, Aoi has an Anime only deck so no money to be earned. Plus, you get to watch her die for more "man pain".

Yes it fucking sucks.

[looks at Tea and her 100% onscreen win rate, Mai winning a ton offscreen and only losing to protagonists/main arc villains, Serenity winning her anime-exclusive duel, Rebecca technically beating Yugi when he surrendered and having a competitively viable deck, and Ishizu knowing every move of the entire duel and only losing to Kaiba because of a Deus ex Machina]

But Aoi had Trickstars, a pretty meta deck before she switched, yet she still got beaten down twice. Granted Trickstars are entirely based on like four or five good cards with most later support being trash, but that's the designer's fault. Not to mention Altergeist and how GG was treated.

I get being angry at Aoi's (and all the other girls') results but can we please not do the Yoshida slander meme? It's a big Disproportionate Retribution that deals with very serious accusations and less informed people sometimes seriously believe it.

Finally watched this a little earlier.

Wow, that last card Bohman was using was total bullshit. It just had all these abilities that countered Aoi at every turn.

Why didn't he have this back when he was dueling Yusaku huh? Oh, but we can't have our main hero or his new bromantic sidekick lose...but that's why we have a girl! She's not important anyway right?

Really it's just the last effect that I would call BS on. For the multiattack it's logical that his ace monster would have some OP effect, but the reviving with double attack thing was BS and pretty obviously a "Just so I can win lol" effect.

It's not the first case of a Plot Armor loss, but it's definitely one of the more blatant ones.

Much less dumb. I don't think Team Unicorn will ever be topped on this regard.

Sad thing is, when it comes to how Aoi has been treated, it could have been worse. Nothing tops Soul Burner's duel against her. His anti burn card didn't even try to hide that the writers had to come up with a way to keep Aoi from winning.

Aoi's suffering aside, I enjoyed the Duel against Bohman. My favorite part of it was acutally the ost from the first part though. Vrains had been rather lackluster so far, music-wise imo. This duel and when Playmaker and Ai lured Aoi during the first duel had the only memorable ost imo.

What's everyone's opinion on the Ignis warfare arc so far and Vrains. How Aoi has been treated, I enjoyed this arc for the most part. I liked how the show explores the free will of AI and their desire for independence and most duels were enjoyable. It's actually only when Yusaku and Soul Burner duel, when things get back. I think the only duel of Yusaku I enjoyed was the one against GO and even then it was because seeing GO deteriorate physically and mentally was satisfying to watch. Of course, that the M Cs are the worst part is not a good sign. I think the only few duels I enjoyed of the two was because their opponents were entertaining.

I think if Vrains would treat Aoi better and ditch Soul Burner and Yusaku, it could actually be really good. But sadly then won't happen. Though the last time I genuinely thought that the franchise was amazing was the first half of Arc-V. Before that it was the first season of 5D's and before that the third season of GX.

[up][up] I once saw the Team Unicorn thing amusingly summed up as something along the lines of "The middle of a massive international tournament is probably not the best place to put a 'play for fun, not to win' message."

Interesting, despite her loses, Blue Maiden is 5-4 in her win loss sheet. Sure her wins were mainly mook types but...

I wish the anime would use existed archetype more. Arc V give me some hope that someday archetype like Ghostrick, Madolche, Evilswarm, Wind-Up, Fire Fist, Kaiju,... would get animated.

She's had five wins?

Against who?

There's that random dude from her first appearance, the AI duelist, and Baira and now Haru. Who was the fifth one?

New episode:

I still hate Bohman, but it looks like he's getting ready to save Jin's data.

Also, Lightning's design gives him a permanent smug face. It's fitting.

I hated Bohman back when he was changing his character every time he appeared (the time he thought he was Yusaku being the show's lowest point) but I grew relatively fond of him not that his character has already being firmly established as card game Buddha.

How is Soulburner compared to other "guy that joins the main cast late" characters like Crow? They tend to be pretty divisive.
