On the path to success
Oh, good, finally here. Now to get onto proper business with training and figuring out how capable I can still be. Three different choices of things to work on: speed, lateral agility, and jumping capabilities.
I think my speed is most important, really, so let's work on that first.

Having heard the sound of voices outside the dojo, a Mienshao has emerged to investigate. The sight of Philo elicits a muted, but nonetheless obvious, surprised reaction.
"...Master Peritopoulos. It has been a while."
"It has indeed!"
Philo turns back to the party.
"Everyone, this is Heinrich Gladstone. A former protege of mine within the professional battling circuit, now aiding his old master as chief instructor of the Narcia-Holstown Peritopoulos Dojo. He'll be your primary guide for the evening."
Heinrich nods, his face expressionless.
"Follow me."
Heading back inside the dojo, the Mienshao doesn't even look back to check whether the party are indeed following him.

I follow the operator inside, just generally thinking things over. Thinking on my toes for a moment I ask the operator.
Anywhere for just general nonspecific training? I don't need any specific training per se, more just testing my capabilities after having a pretty rough injury on my leg, and needing to know what I can or can't do. I've already got Marsha wanting to help me with that, for the record.

Heinrich responds directly to Marlon.
"Absolutely. This whole dojo is designed to be useful for whatever purpose a trainee desires."
Right now, the dojo seems devoid of activity. A few 'mons of various species are milling around, but none of them seem to be engaged in any particular activity; most, in fact, are looking bored or frustrated. Each of them wears a small badge in the shape of Philo's silhouetted profile, as seen on the dojo's sign, as does Heinrich.
"Business hasn't been good lately," Heinrich explains. "The local population haven't been willing to brave the forests amidst that whole situation with the Vespiquen. Hopefully we'll bounce back now she's gone."

After offering Heinrich that little statement we are now completely in. Okay, let's get to work here. I walk forward about a good 10-20 feet or so, and immediately pivot myself so I'm facing Marsha.
Okay, so my speed. You got any ideas on what I can do to test that? I was thinking a simple dash back and forth.

Alright, here goes nothing...I guess.
I look directly ahead of myself and draw out a path with the motion of my arm of the straight-line that I want to follow in my dash. I brace myself, getting ready to charge ahead, and burst forward, looking rather unsteady and slower as I push to make the distance forward. Coming back, I gain a bit more steadiness in my dash but still, slow and hobbled. I return to Marsha.
That definitely was harder than I thought it would be...but I think I'm beginning to feel some of my strength come back. Not gonna be easy, regardless. So, what next? I'll let you pick one of the other options.
Alice is about to begin explaining some basics to Steph, Rex, and Bailey, but is briefly startled by the appearance of the Golett.
