Edit: Okay, disregard what was here previously.
As for the trope in question, I can get behind your idea.

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportHoly shit burn that with fire.
Cut examples at the least, but this is so poorly defined and all over the place (not to mention I don't know how much of an actual "thing" it is) that I say we just cut it and walk away.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I should note that we do have meta-tropes for wikis and forums, such as Sock Puppet, GIFT, and Internet Tough Guy. Being an internet topic is not a reason to cut. It should however, under NO circumstances have any examples—that's just importing drama.
Being poorly defined is a different issue, and one that I think is more valid as a reason to cut. Or at least clean up if there's anything that can be salvaged.

You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"I started at "cut the examples" but given how poorly defined (and borderline contradictory) the description is, along with the fact that I don't think this is actually a thing (the first Google hit for "Resident Freak" is... that page), I don't think there's anything worth keeping.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Cut the examples for sure.
With cleanup, it might be acceptable for an in-universe-only trope. But I don't have strong feelings either way on keeping it.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Cutting examples sounds good to me.
I'm fine with allowing In-Universe examples, though, if something shows up. I find that In-Universe examples tend to work on just about any page, whether it normally allows examples or not, with the exception of tropes that are too common to list.
Check out my fanfiction!I would think it would need to be sent back to YKTTW, Sounds more like Token Crazy though and there are plenty of fictional examples of that.
The thing is, with these web personae example-less definition pages, we're merely describing an existing, known online persona.
Here, we're creating one seemingly out of thin air, and that's not what we're supposed to do.
Also noting that going through the history, the page quote and the Gogeta example were both added by the people involved in the exchanges. So it's just people talking about themselves. Which is even worse.
Basically, I don't believe this trope was ever made or used in good faith and see no point in keeping it around. We exist to catalog trope, not make ones up. And this is made up so that people could pimp their online personae.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Seconded. It's just Take That! Flame Bait drama importation. Kill It with Fire.
If it's both documenting a concept that doesn't really exist on the wider net and made specifically for the purpose of drama importation, I see no reason to keep this. Thirding cut.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Cut. This page is all around bad and the concept made up.
As the person who characterized it as "train wreck" over in the RL Section thread, I think it's safe to say I vote to nuke.
And I mean everything, not just the examples. As noted above, it's not defined well at all, and I don't see anything really salvageable on that page.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpTo make this official, here's a crowner with the options we've discussed.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Is there a way to change my crowner vote? I meant to choose "yea" for cut all examples, but I'm posting from a phone and hit "nay" instead because the icon is so small.

Hooking crowner.
Also, Pegasus, you can change your vote if you want to until the crowner closes.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpYeah, I'm not seeing anything of value on this page. Flamethrower time
So far, cutlist is pretty comfortably ahead of Example Sectionectomy, and the other two options are so far in the hole they're effectively irrelevant to the discussion.
- Cutlist: 5:1 (18)
- Example Sectionectomy: 2.25:1 (13)
Wait another day or so to make sure they're stable before calling? It's been a hair under 2 days since the crowner was hooked, as of this post.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpIf this gets cut (which looks very likely), I propose that it join the Permanent Redlink Club. No way do we want this out-of-whole-cloth Flame Bait magnet coming back.
Eh, I think PRLC is a bit much. As I said above, it's only mentioned on 12 other wiki pages, so it doesn't seem to have any real traction among tropers in general.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpIt's been three days, and already we have plenty of votes on cutting. As there's consensus, calling.
Time to dewick.

What would be the best way to fix the page?
This was brought up in the RL section maintenance thread, and described as a "trainwreck" and "better suited to TRS". Looking at it, I'd be inclined to agree; it's nothing but troping various interwebs users. I propose an Example Sectionectomy (and a lock probably wouldn't hurt, either).
