Yeah Isaac out of all our viewpoints was the one that got off easiest, Sypha and Trevor couldn't save anyone sadly and the Judge wasn't really a good guy, Hector got fucked over even moreso than the previous Season and the only hope that I can see of him getting out of being a Sex Slave is for Isaac to kill Carmilla and her sisters or for Lenore to possibly lessen the ring's restriction (doubtful), and Alucard....poor guy just got completely torn up by the events of this season. All in all this Season was a long running tragedy.

[up] You picked the 2nd most monstrous person in the season to be your avatar, huh?

[up]In my defense I put Lenore as my avatar before I saw that she betrayed Hector in such an awful way although I saw it coming once the sex scene happened. It just felt too...nice considering.

Also, doesn't anyone find it incredibly odd how abruptly Sumi and Taka turned on Alucard? There was some hints at it with them being distrustful of him but the change went from them liking him a lot to suddenly trying to kill him during a threesome. I wish we got that reveal a bit more gradual. It did hit the note of tragedy though. Poor guy was crying where his dad died...

I just think this season sucked since the misery had no real purpose besides itself in it tongue Season 2's endings' bittersweet things had purpose, here the purpose is to just make everyone more miserable without really a message or reason

Part of it was that 1) I saw judge being nasty when he first talked to that kid since its rather obvious they wouldn't have that scene if it was insignificant and there is something creepy about old man telling kid to go to forest alone in secret. And as said, it still doesn't serve purpose. 2) Zumi and Takka, the what they did was kinda bs because they showed us conversation between them were they didn't have yet decided that to mislead audience despite always otherwise foreshadowing at that they would turn on Alucard. I think it honestly would have been better kind of misery if they didn't turn on Alucard but instead used his teachings in bad way forcing Alucard to turn on them and then they would blame Alucard because everyone always betrays them

@Wispy Granted, Isaac wants to kill Hector at the moment.

Just finished the last episode. Fuck literally everyone except the M Cs.

Seriously, I REALLY want all of Carmilla's bitches-in-crime to die horribly now, those two Japanese punks deserved it, poor Hector even more so now, can't wait for Isaac to slaughter them next season or something, and poor Sypha. The ending fight scene in the basement was amazing though, and that animation...

[up]I suspect or atleast hope that Hector isn't going to give up yet. He's in a really desperate situation but the vamps I think may be underestimating him in their own arrogance. Hector was a natural necromancer/forgemaster afterall which tells me he certainly has some magical talent, I imagine he could probably find some magic to break the slave ring's seal on him. He may come into conflict with Isaac though...

I feel like these little glimpses of humanity Isaac keeps getting are bizarre ways to reinforce his crusade or foreshadowing that he may not completely give up on humanity. The entire section with the ship captain is pretty superfluous if it's all just going to be undone by another group of soldiers pissing him off exactly like those in the city prior. It's possible he and Hector might bury the hatchet going forward, or he'll at least indirectly save him by virtue of waging war on and/or killing Carmilla's faction.

[up] Possibly though I'm still of the idea that Issac ends up becoming Death. Also I've got to say this is the first time I've ever found Legion legitimately terrifying in the entire series

Just finished the season and Man! Hector got played big time. Like it's almost comical how that played out.

In light of what feels like long term set ups, unless they're all resolved in season 4 (if it happens), and we also get a season 5, I really doubt yall are getting your Jojo style generational switch.

Really enjoyed this season, although I feel it's somewhat getting away from the Castlevania premise and more towards dark vampire fantasy with the Castlevania name on it. The four branching pathlines with limited connectivity makes me think of Game of Thrones, and so was the Hotter and Sexier nature of it all, though thankfully none of it was as cringeworthy than most of the sex scenes on that show.

Cool that Alucard is confirmed Bi The Way, but I had a lot of problems with the way that storyline played out in general, so I don't know how I feel about that whole thing. It did feel like a rather spurious excuse to have a big Fanservice/Fan Disservice sex scene compared to the Hector one and the sudden characterization jump that led to the two feeling betrayed by him and wanting to kill him had pretty weak justification.

Really enjoyed the Isaac portions. He continues to be a highlight of the show despite (or rather, because of) his In Name Only aspects. Although, after this season I do feel more certain that they are indeed compositing him with Shaft and Zead, this time using the more inspired angle of he's now inspired by a villainous alternative interpretation of Sufi ideology rather than a nebulous dark priest. And I felt really bad for Sypha after the conclusion of her and Trevor's storyline. As far as Downer Ending goes, her breakdown was more well-handled than Alucard's.

I do hope they wrap this time period relatively soon or go back to more directly adapting game material with regard to distinct goals and outcomes, lest it get carried away into a Kudzu Plot with some characters dawdling aimlessly.

When San Germain had that dream where he went to all those different dimensions, are any of those shout-outs or references to anything?

Seen the spoilers of Alucard's plotline.

Frankly, I'm torn on that one, unless they're gonna do a similar arc he had in SOTN (reconnecting with humanity and everything), this can only end with him becoming Dracula-lite.

Also saw the spoilers of Hector's plotline, and I think I'll just flat-out dislike it. Sounds like a rehash of his plotline in Season 2.

And knowing that the stories never interact, I'm tempted to just skip this season and wait for the next one to see if there's any proper closure to be had.

I'll live.

This whole thing feels like it ends on a big "To be continued" and half the plotline sound exactly like stuff we've already seen.

So Imma wait until it feels less like the show is wasting my time.

I thought the Aztec pyramid scene might've been a reference to Galamoth, who has somewhat of an Aztec design.

I think the season is definitely worth watching for the Trevor and Sypha, and Isaac portions, which do work as standalones, even if Alucard's was a dud, though thankfully it receives the least screentime. Hector's plotline was far too predictable, but Carmilla and the vampires that make up his supporting cast were pretty enjoyable this season.

It's just, I know Seasonal Rot when I see it, and I don't want to get invested just for it to keep rotting.

So yeah, I'll wait until the next season and watch it all together.

Unless Netflix cancels it, because if Bojack Horseman was canceled, no animated original on the platform is safe regardless of how good it is.

In my opinion this season is a step up due to having more clarity of direction than the last, even if individual storylines may have faltered in execution.
