Falcon and Rouge are pretty much the main characters of Power Stone(Falcon is the more important of the two), but it's not heavily promoted, so seeing only one in is reasonable. It also isn't as big of a series as Darkstalkers overall is, which also makes sense why seeing one character could work. Darkstalkers hopefully will get at least 2, since it's not that active but memorable enough. As long as Morrigan is there at the minimum.
I do think they could do Hunter well if they try to show off various weapons among tons of moves and have various armors for costumes. Kind of akin to alternate character costumes in Smash. It's a good way to show off tons of stuff you want. It also feels like a good compromise to have a playable character.
...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol. Will we get three Darkstalkers reps like last time, and will they all be girls?
Author. No clue on how many, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were all girls as well.
I won't lie though, there's a lot of cool character choices. I wouldn't mind just Dimitri and Morrigan, being they're the main characters/"heroes" of the franchise.
...It's weird having so many websites and no way to properly display now, lol.Capcom's in a bad place right now. It's why they're banking so much on Street Fighter, Dead Rising, and Monster Hunter. I wouldn't put it past them at this point to have a hunter in the game, though, imo, they're not what make Monster Hunter interesting. It's the monsters themselves, so I'm not really sure how effective the Hunter will be in cross-promoting Monster Hunter.
Regarding the Lupinko "leaks", here's the thing: they aren't actually leaks. At least nothing that could explicitly be called a "leak". See, he knows that everyone's going to treat his every word as gospel, so he's being deliberately cryptic to fuck with people. So, for example, people are saying Howard the Duck's in because he "randomly" tweets this and people are left to connect dots that may or may not be there.
Regarding a potential Power Stone rep, I'd actually be surprised if it turned out to be Falcon. Rouge was confirmed in an interview sometime back to have been considered for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, and from what I've seen whenever Capcom has a choice between a guy or a girl they will 90% of the time go for the girl.
Regarding a potential Monster Hunter rep, remember that Capcom wanted one for MvC3 but were flat-out rejected by the MH devs at the time. I do hope they were able to work something out, especially now that Super Smash Bros. has kinda set a standard on how to handle "generic characters".

Watch as a very scaled down Rathalos becomes the Monster Hunter rep. Or watch them pull a Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and have a not as scaled down Rathalos as a giant single fighter.
Or hell, watch as a Rathalos becomes a giant boss. If power is an issue, just have him munching down an Infinity Gauntlet or something

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Maybe we'll get two giant characters like how Gold Lightan was in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.
Plus if we were getting a "Gwen" character I'd assume it'd be Spider-Gwen, not Gwenpool. She seems bizarrely popular in Japan for some reason.
The only way I could see Gwenpool is if it's their way of having a Deadpool-like character while skirting a potential Fox ban.
Yeah, that's what I was talking about. Any notable Marvel characters that would work as a giant fighter if they pull that off again?

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Well one certainly comes to mind.

This song needs more love.Red Ronin?
Oh please let them use Red Ronin if that's the case.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gwenpool was in, as these types of things produce Unexpected Characters and they probably want Deadpool's style without actually using the character, if they really are going with the whole "no Fox properties" deal.

Author.I mean, we already had one◊. But if he's out then there's always the obvious successor◊.
Spider-Gwen's really hard to work with because she's got nothing to really differentiate herself from Spider-Man. I know Injustice managed to include alt costumes that went so far as to include different V As, but I don't know if Capcom's willing to do that.
Gwenpool's inclusion depends entirely on whether or not Deadpool makes it in. Literally 0% if he does and 100% if he doesn't.

It's possible if they do clone characters with slight stat and attack differences, like Shadow Lady or Dr. Mario from Smash.

Looking at the gameplay trailer, I seriously hope that X has some actual special weapons and isn't like Mega Man in 1 and 2 where he literally only had three special weapons.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Having a roster spot "stolen" by a Moveset Clone would piss the fuck out of a lot of people, especially given how hard Capcom's trying to differentiate everyone in SFV.
Gotta admit I didn't even think of having Antman as a giant character, but I gotta say that Red Ronin (who I never heard of before) seem like a cool option as well; especially if it ends up having the robot vs. monster angle.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Moveset Clones are nothing new to MvC so they're certainly possible. You can't have Ken otherwise.

This song needs more love.Injustice has had no less than three different Kryptonians thus far with distinct movesets, so I don't think Spider-Gwen having a distinct playstyle and moveset from Spidey is too ludicrous of an idea. It's just a matter of how creative you get with the applications of the power.
For example, maybe have web traps on the ground that stop characters from jumping? Web slingshots? A proper grapple a la Spencer? And so on and so on.

🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaSmash had like so many Fire Emblem sword users, so having two spider characters is not impossible.
Mileena MadnessI'd like Ryu's gimmick of emulating Akuma and Ken's movesets to return for this to keep clones' numbers lower.
That's not a good precedent when all of them (save for Robin & Corrin) are basically Marth's counterparts.
We don't need justice when we can forgive. We don't need tolerance when we can love. And most of them played quite differently, despite the griping. While it wasn't the pinnacle of technical fighting Jojo All Star Battle found a way to make the Ripple characters all fight quite differently, and to give the Stand users a wide range of moves. even if their strategies mostly came down to "summon punch ghosts".
I doubt the game series is that hard up for money.
