Due to Forgeti hijinks, Ben and Kevin end up forgetting who they are. Ben finds Kevin's phone and Kevin finds Ben's diary, leading them to think they're each other. Ben thus becomes a bad guy while Kevin decides to play heroes. It takes a fight for them to realize something is off.

Also, GWEN FEELS BAD FOR KEVIN AT SOME POINT, THE GWEVIN IS THERE AT 0,000001%, BUT IT'S THERE. We also get treated of this lovely shot of Kevin's dad◊, assuming this isn't Servantis playing tricks on people's minds.

You'd think the Rooters would be one plot they would want to quietly bury and never touch again.

Charmcaster's character arc continues in "What Rhymes With Omnitrix" and it is VERY strongly hinted that Hex is her uncle in this continuity as well. She finds a magic necklace that her uncle gave her, and she imitates his words when he gave it to her by adopting a dour expression and British accent. If she makes a future Heel–Face Turn, it'll almost certainly be on account of having to fight him, since he probably has an agenda behind giving her that necklace. Also her realizing that she's become what she hates, which Gwen tried to tell her at the end of this one.

I wonder just how old must Charm's maybe-not-dead dad have been when he met her mom and how her uncle wasn't around when she got powers. But wait, if she DOES change because of Hex, this means the Squires will get all reformed through something personal they share with an opponent.

Max reformed Vin thanks to family, Ben might reform Kevin because of their mutual longing for someone who cares about them, Phil reformed Simon because... they're both silly juice-loving machine lovers? IDK. And Charmcaster with Gwen because they both like magic and DO NOT take it well when they're pushed around (not to mention having a history with Hex if so). Only one left is Billy, but I guess Ben can multitask. Assuming he did get fully over his argument with Gwen and Max.

Nope, and she seems to be doing amazing even without those.

As for Override, the Fulminis are low on resources, I guess he'd rather stay inside his ship instead of wasting his time meeting those worthless other species. That and he can empower his troops, I guess he'd only do so if he was really needed on the battlefield. And since the Fulminis either faced a threat too big to match or a threat too pathetic to waste energy on, he just didn't feel like helping.

Billy definitely also has a Heel–Face Turn in his future given the set-up he's been given so far; you are correct in that the choice of Squires seems deliberate in that regard: people who are Sour Outside, Sad Inside and just need to be reached out to long enough to learn the error of their ways. With the potential Kevin 11 spin-off coming, I can't help but wonder if all of them will be his supporting cast. Charmcaster would definitely make sense given the childish rivalry she and Kevin have that make them more blatant as Evil Counterparts to Ben and Gwen.

I don't think Simon really counts, as he was never a villain, just an Obliviously Evil antagonist.

Actually, she kind of has, except it's science rather than magic: it's a Mega Man-esque Lucky Girl suit that Phil made her that has the ability to shoot out blue energy that's just as strong as Charmcaster's magic. I think after the Anodite retcon of her magic powers in the previous continuity, the writers behind the reboot are hesitant to give her any natural abilities.

BTW, it looks like none of these new episodes are actually Season 4 like most wikis are saying, they are episodes produced for Season 3 that weren't finished prior to "Roundabout". That explains many discrepancies, particularly Kevin's continued nonchalant presence even when he was last seen stranded through time and space. The real Season 4 was already confirmed to begin airing worldwide in 2020. Cartoon Network really needs to get its shit together here.

OKAY BUT WILD GUESS I'M TAKING THERE:

If Simon is not Phil's parallel, maybe he's actually Forever Knight's parallel. Not simply plot wise, but on a franchise level of parallel. Forever Knight is making a team of superpowered kids to take over the world before they (read: Ben and Kevin) betray him for their own gain.

But Phil? In OG, he was an experienced Plumber that betrayed his code of honor like Driscoll had, and tried to get his old friend to no avail before joining the Rooters, a group of Plumbers gone rogue like him. The difference between Reboot Phil and OG Phil, aside from the former being a nerd, is that he stayed loyal instead of betraying Max.

The loyal, once portrayed as double-crossing, partner of Max, using his knowledge for the benefit of others in a technologically revolutionary way, against the foil to Phil's betrayal, an organization leader who gathered people with potential only to be betrayed at the first opportunity.

Of course, I doubt Forever Knight gets redeemed, but he'd have an interesting fight with Phil, especially since Phil is also fond of laser gadgets.

If we were to assume those double A batteries were sold by Argit, Animo or Zombozo (which, knowing this show, MAY ACTUALLY HAPPEN), then that explanation works. Though the DNA coding is also possible if Kevin has an early degree in genetics implementing (which, now that we've had a glimpse of his home life, would make it even more painful).

Also, "Heads of the Family" has Ben and Gwen irked at the idea that Kevin could be related to them. I feel like Mo A is calling out the fanbase with that (Bevin and Gwevin would be SOOOOOOOO ruined).

I just figured out that every time you said Mo A, you meant Man of Action.

One question about Man of Action: have they really recovered or not? On IMDb, I last saw Ben 10 (2016) and Mega Man: Fully Charged having a user rating of around 4 out of 10 stars (for some reason). Can you please answer my question?

1) Zombozo has a legit official résumé on being a professional cook. Though he prefers being a criminal.

2) Ben's cake looks terrible. On the other hand, it's so delicious it broke Max out of mind control.

Ben can both cook AND sew. When he grows up, whoever marries him will have a helpful hand when he's nearby.

Also, something people noticed in Adrenaland Jr.: Kevin comes home to a house with stairs leading up, but his flashback in his debut showed a single-story house. Leading a few people to theorize that, if that wasn't a continuity error, then Kevin might have been put in foster care. Which makes this line◊ a bit more painful.
