I think this thread has enough suggestions to start a crowner, no?
Nothing aside from the current, the DVD cover or the collage really show off a Ms Fanservice enough to really be in a crowner.
They are just random cleavage shots of old animes or Gonk anime characters that no one has ever heard of to really fit the majority of the examples on the page. Seriously if every character that ever showed a little cleavage or went to Beach Episode were this we would be listing every anime girl in the past 40 years.
Quite a few are Fanservice Extra too and not this.
Ok idea, Sonico one of her end credits in nothing but a bikini◊[1]◊[2]◊[3]◊ [4]◊ [5]◊[6]◊[7]◊[8]◊[9]◊ As maybe a collage. I can get rid of the credits too if desired.
Shoot Jump rope, Hula hoop, pogo sticking and playing the guitar through the end credits just screams it.

The point Memers brings up is, well, on point - one fanservicey shot doth not a Ms. Fanservice make, visually. Right now, the Sonico and Fumiko pics are the best we've got.
Does the same apply to all of the other subpages, then? If so, should we make this into a more general thread, or start separate ones for each subpage? (Except the video games one, which already features a collage.)
Bear in mind a majority of them are imageless, and at this point I'm beginning to wonder if we may as well do the same for the rest if only for a sense of symmetry.

I think Jessica Rabbit is fine for the main page, the others a collage or an image that made it obvious that they do it throughout the work would be a lot better than the current ones.
At this point, I'm thinking rather than picking a character per subpage, then picking several screenshots for that character, deciding which to use for the collage, etc... I'd rather see everything but the main page's image (which is one of the more iconic ones anyway) removed if only for a sense of balance.
I disagree, a collage is just fine for a subpage. It would especially get the point across that just having one scene in your undies or something does not make the person one, its something that anime especially has a big problem with as I see any random fanservice get labeled this all the time.
Especially when we got a good choice.

Yeah, I guess if we're to go with a collage of one character, you have plenty of images to choose from. I just didn't think most of the subpages for a trope like this would be imageless. I assumed they'd mostly have. (Even literature I figured might use an illustration or something.)
One more idea... what about replacing the main page image with your collage idea, and leaving the subpages imageless? Partly for a sense of consistency, but partly because Jessica Rabbit's waist in that picture is so small it makes it look like something's medically wrong with her, which IMO undermines the fanservice value. note
Actually, primarily the latter. I'd be okay with a few subpages having page images and a few of them being imageless.

I really don't think this needs to be changed. Just add a caption that says that is how she normally dresses. It's a perfect example and illustration.
Support this. Honestly i not see the necessity of change the actual situation.
I've been saying that the whole time.
It's actually a good pic because her having the gun with her makes it seem like it's normal attire, rather than she's dressed up (down?)
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them....come on, people. This is the same site where tropers who may or may not actually be female claimed in troper tales to be young girls who "erotically" slurp on popsicles, and others left that up. There are a lot of unreasonable conclusions that the rest of the Internet has jumped to about this site, most of which were their fault, not ours. But the association of TV Tropes with pedophiles might be at least partly our fault. The least we could do is avoid featuring a fetishized portrayal of a teenager in a page image.
Seriously, it's getting to the point where I'm almost thinking we may as well go with Tsunade anyway just to make a point.

This is pure paranoia. The current is there from much times and nobody has never contested.
I am almost regret having opened this thread.
Probably because the site has had more egregious pedophile-esque content to clean up since then?
In any case, it's been contested now.
I disagree but anyway I like this a lot better◊, it hits so many of those common Japanese fanservice tropes.
Does Yoko actually act 14 on the show? (Haven't seen it.) She certainly doesn't look it. She's drawn no differently than any anime woman would be up to age, like, 35, or something, clothes notwithstanding. Furthermore, she's not real. So if she doesn't look underage, doesn't act underage, and isn't an actual underage person, what's the big deal? It's not like it becomes not creepy for someone to lust after a character that looks and acts like a child when that character is Really 700 Years Old.
She says she is 14 years old but she spent her entire life deep underground and they make a off hand comment that their calendar is different from ours since they have no sun or moon.
She was 16-17 in the Highschool AU manga looking exactly the same as she did in the anime.

"Looks underage" and "acts underage" are matters of opinion. So long as she's canonically a teenager, it is still creepy to feature her as the page image for a subpage of a sex-related trope.
"She's not real" is good enough for why this shouldn't be criminalized, but it's not good enough for a page image.
I'd be avoiding Really 700 Years Old characters anyway just to be on the safe side.
As for the Sonico examples, rather than trying to fit multiple ones into a collage, why not use the guitar one? That's rarely associated with wearing a bikini.
And alternatively, I suppose we could use the one featuring Fanservice Costumes if we're not planning to use it on that page. Should I create a thread for that page?
Another version; one featuring her playing guitar, another featuring her just sitting there.
Another version still; same thing, except with left and right images switched.
The quality on all of those is a little dodgy.
I figured one of her playing guitar and one of her just sitting there showed a considerable contrast as it is, but in order to resize it so that they're of comparable height, you have to make the part showing her sitting there have a less crisp image than the one of her playing guitar.
I'll look into resizing the thriller one tomorrow, just felt compelled to point that out tonight.
EDIT: Changed my mind, figured I'd go with at least one collage tonight...

Another set of multi-screenshot pics; one side with her dancing with zombies, another with her playing guitar. (And another option with the order reversed.)

Little late on the Yoko discussion, but her age is never stated in the dub and she always looked and acted like she was at least 16 before the main Time Skip. Her post-Time Skip appearance is also identical to her pre-Time Skip appearance while other characters who were clearly underage (e.g. the main character Simon) got older designs.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?
As for Tuesday's entry... Himiko and Rion are canonically teenagers, but I suppose Kanako Oomori would be applicable.
