I'm betting the sun will rise tomorrow.
801 koroks! All on my own!
Now I've got Breath Companion downloaded on my tablet to start figuring out the ones I missed. I might also get the rest of the taluses.
Breath Companion was a great help. I actually enjoyed rounding up the remaining koroks. For one, I wouldn't look up what kind of korok it was until I got there, so I didn't know what to look for. And I still had to figure out the quickest way to get to them.
But I must've marked one wrong, because BC says I got 900 koroks, while the game itself is saying 899. Well, crap.
One of the last few I got was in Hyrule Castle, in view of like 4 Guardians, and I got blasted a couple times before warping out.
Third post in a row, but I found the guy. Hiding under a rock near Lake Totori.
I like that Hestu assumes you must've had an army of friends helping you find koroks. And I like that if you ask Hestu to dance afterward, he goes, "DANCE PARTY!"
Does anybody else try to roleplay in this game? I try to play Link as though he was a half-bestial murderhobo, constantly seeking the cruelest ways to kill monsters (usually involves bombs or fire), prowling the wilds for animals (and fruit, lots of fruit) to eat, and generally is kind of a prick.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.I really appreciate games where fire does more than just make an enemy take a little damage.
Far Cry comes to mind. Far Cry Primal and earlier, anyway. Fuck everything that's happened since.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youI do hope they fix that for the next game. Fire physics were cool and showed up a lot in the pre-release, but fire ends up being pretty much completely useless almost immediately after you get off the Great Plateau. Same with bombs.
I understand they don't want to give you something too awesome so you'll actually use weapons, but I feel like they could have done a better job of it.
Yeah, I roleplay. Now that I know the game well, I'll come up with what Link's motivations would be and make decisions based on that.
I wouldn't say fire and bombs weren't useful once you leave the Plateau, but I would like more situations where they were the best answer. I mean, besides using bombs to denude a hillside of trees to build Tarrey Town.
I dunno; I always found bombs to be my best friend while travelling at night, since the Keese and Stal- enemies crumple to them. Why waste the weapon durability?

Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805That have been one of the most frustrating things of the game for me so far (yeah, playing just now).
At the beginning I unexpectedly liked the weapon durability, because it insensitive me to think of different ways to kill my enemies. But now pretty much everything is too weak to be of any real use and I have to resort to a brawl anyway. I mean, now I do have enough weapons that the durability is not quite an issue, but it still just kinda boring to go into an enemy camp and just murder everyone with a sword.
I at least wish link could punch enemies when he drops his sword.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youI think that I said this before, but I'll repeat myself: Breath of the Wild's engine could be used to create a Goblin Slayer Licensed Game.
Does anybody have any advice for what you should have or what you should be at when you try to tackle the elephant?
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Vah Ruta is generally considered the easiest Divine Beast and the one to go after first. As long as you've followed the story beats to get to it (instead of, say, climbing over the mountain into Zora's Domainnote and collecting the bare minimum number of shock arrows to enlist Sidon's help), you should be in good shape.
Vah Naboris is the only one that I'd personally consider to be much of a challenge out of the Divine Beasts, but, even then, it ultimately isn't that hard. The boss fight can be tricky first time around, but I find that, if you can nail the timing for shield parrying, it's much less scary than it looks.
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805I just stumbled at hat whole plot line accidentally early in my game and had no issue whatsoever. Reaching Zora's Domain was honestly harder than the dungeon, actually. I did have a couple of heart containers (literally a couple, pretty sure I was at 5 hearts) and had bought and upgraded some armor, so you might want to make sure you have those. That said, as far I remember the boss attack patter was fairly avoidable, I didn't even master shield parrying as suggested, I just avoided its attacks.
That boss is a lot easier if you get Daruk’s Protection first.
I never used more of the Champion Powers because (1) I didn't know they restore themselves faster in Malice areas, and (2) I was always afraid of wasting them, even though using them against bosses probably makes a lot of sense.
To be fair, this only applied to Daruk's Protection. I had Revali's Wind and Mipha's Grace on all the time. Urbossa's Fury as well once I got it. It'd be easier if it (Daruk) didn't auto activate when you lock onto an enemy and you could choose when to use it if it was turned on.
One Strip! One Strip!Double post because I finally feel like posting this stupid crazy I had:
The entirety of the Zelda series is one big Stable Time Loop.
Simply put, the upcoming BOTW sequel will have time travel, wherein Zelda and Link go back in time to the earliest point in the timeline, the golden era from before Skyloft. Zelda will ascend to become Hylia, casting off her mortal form and becoming a goddess and forgetting her past as a mortal, while Link will...somehow end up as her champion (and if we follow that prequel manga, in jail).
Unfortunately, Calamity Ganon(dorf) will follow them, merging with a demon to become Demise and hide underground to gather an army. That army will burst from beneath the surface and....well, you know the rest.
So the last Link and Zelda will become the first Link and Zelda....and then eventually become the last again.
And that's a stupid crazy theory from Rob.
One Strip! One Strip!(blinks eyes) ...what?
You heard me.
One Strip! One Strip!(blinks eyes) ...what?
Huh. Found this in a Wild Mass Guessing page for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild:
The monarchy is reduced to one person, Hyrule is under the rule of nothing. Zelda says Ganon has given up on reincarnation. Here's the theory: with no throne to claim, Zelda returns to Hateno with Link and settles there with him. She and Purah research ancient tech for many years, and this ends up with them creating or discovering an island in the sky. Link and Zelda choose to live there, and their descendants do for many years. The restless spirit of Ganon reverts to the demon Demise. Cue Skyward Sword.
So I'm not the first person to come up with such a theory, even if it's a little different from mine.
By the way, do we know for sure that the 10,000 year period between the first defeat of Calamity Ganon and his triumphant comeback story were quiet? If Nintendo really decided to end the timeline with this series after the sequel, then they could just claim other games take place during that period. 10,000 years is a long time, and a lot could happen, even if it's not directly related to Ganon(dorf).
One Strip! One Strip!I believe that Link talking are planned for this game at some point, because just look at some memories, they create a lot of opportunities for him to talk but just give up,I believe is because Nintendo just want to do one thing at the time and they choose to make Pikachu talks first, probably because of The Detective movie at production at the time, so Link's time still will comes.
another ideas I thinking about BOTW 2 is that I believe that behind the green hand power from the teaser we will have some new female character,we still need a green haired waifu on BOTW universe,as Monolith was envolved with the franchise since Skyward Sword,so we have a new Fi.
She will remind Link a lot of Mipha, just see that Link get the power from the same arm she cures him,and I already too much on fanfiction territory I will stop.

I'm betting BOTW 2 gets a preview next year, if not a release date!
The Protomen enhanced my life.
