The twist here is that Hamill will voice Batman while Conroy voices Joker.
Woods as Luthor is interesting, but it makes a lot of sense after hearing him as Owlman.

Though now that I think about it, I wonder if they'll have to work around his Star Wars schedule. This is the first time in years he's actually doing major live action film work.

So that each episode will have different members? A la Justice League Unlimited? I wonder if this will be like Steven Universe or Adventure Time in that it'll mostly be lighthearted fun action with some hints of drama here and there or like Teen Titans Go! and being Denser and Wackier than anything before it.
Actually, disregard that second bit.
Also, is that The Question behind Batman's cape to the left?
In any case, this is good! I mean, is this good for you guys?
I'm casually optimistic. I do like the designs. They claim show is no plot, all action. Depending if they have good animation, sense of fun and creative spark this can be dullest thing ever or really fun original show making nice break from continuity heavy stuff. Since 11 minutes formats are almost always used for comedy shows, I'm rather curious how this goes.
Why you looking so smug Superman?
I mean seriously, that look on his face is just an God damn! I'm so awesome it hurts! look.
It's kinda funny actually.
One Strip! One Strip!Limited plot doesn't mean no plot. They're just acknowledging that they have to take things faster in an 11-minute set up, and that this likely means it won't be serialized: they have to tell a cogent superhero story in 11 minutes. Far from impossible, as the original Paramount Superman 'toons were able to do so in even less time (although standards have grown vastly by then).
Liking the voice actors, obviously. We had thought Conroy and Hamill had given up those mantles.
I'm getting Brave and the Boldvibes from this, which is great! I'm actually liking the designs. They seem to be more stylized and creative without being too kiddy. Plus they have a good writing crew and voice cast.
My only complaint is how the official announcement statement pretty much pretends Beware the Batman never existed.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Can't say I'm digging the art style.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Of all the things for Hamill and Conroy to come back for, this was not one I would expect. It's a bit too early to say whether it'll be bad or not but the art style reminds me of too much of stuff like this◊.
This song needs more love.I was thinking that the slimy demeanor he projects as Hades was actually pretty fitting for Luthor, but yes he was a good Owlman as well. It's probably one of the more inspired casting choices I've seen recently.
Um, hey, remember what I said about The Question earlier? Yeah, scratch that.
ComicBook.com suggests that that's John Constantine.
My mistake.

I like the looks of this, so far. It seems like it'll go in a different direction than Teen Titans Go!
Not that people haven't been complaining about the art-style and the fact that JLA shares a director with it though...I couldn't find more than 5 positive comments on the comment section of IGN's report on this.
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."@ Lord Vatek Excuse me sir, but Dc Super Friends were awesome.
I wish I had Bizzaro issue. I wish◊ so◊ so◊ badly.◊
I keep reading the title of this thread as "Action League Justice."
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.A few of the Super-Friends series had multiple episodes per half-hour. It can easily be done in an action show. My guess is it's going to be pretty focused. It has every chance of being pretty good; we'll have to wait and see. I'm glad they're getting back on the air (what are those speckles on Superman's costume? Kirby dots? is he crackling with Superman-energy?)

I was hoping for the show to be reminiscent of Justice League/JLU or Young Justice, but if it's more like Batman: TBATB, then I won't mind.
Also, Paul Dini is working on this show.

I don't need another serious Superhero thing from DC, we're getting plenty of that in the films, I could do with some Brave and The Bold like Lighthearted fare.
For the sake of my sanity... please.

It's a good idea for them to aim the show at a more general audience. You've got more chance of building a lifetime audience if you can do stuff that is more likely to appeal to a broader age range.
Plus, not everyone will be interested in the DC films Warner are putting out.
Just don't make it dumb like Teen Titans Go! and I'll give it a chance.
If they can mix serious action and Comedy with Adventure Time and Powerpuff Girls then there's hope this series.

"We be we baby!"I em just glad to see that DC has not given up on TV animation
It's launching in 2016 and will be in 11 minute installments.
Both Mark Hamil and Kevin Conroy will return. Looks like a revolving door cast. Green Arrow, The Flash, Zatanna, Shazam!, Blue Beetle (Jaime), Vixen, Firestorm, Martian Manhunter, and more can be seen in the background.
