CoLC crossover RP, discussion

I think it might've been on Netflix before, but it got switched to dvd only with no streaming option; I can't remember for sure but I might've watched it originally on Netflix too.

EDIT: Old Feather Beak just can't stop flinging shit at that fan for you guys, now can he?

For the record, I'm now considering Sadness and Mary both involved in the fight, though only technically. (So I probably won't hold off on posting if they're the only characters who haven't been posted for.)

Uh... I hope you don't mind me having Grimlock change forms in the middle of being held. Though I didn't use it as a way to escape Snorlax's grip. He's definitely going to be limping, again, after this.

That reminds me, anyone else trying to recognize the moves they're using? I recognize for sure Blizzard (duh), Thunderbolt (duh), Flamethrower (another duh) and Frenzy Plant (the giant tree suddenly growing thanks to Venusaur). I think the dragon wing blades attack was probably Air Slash or Dragon Rush. The torrent of water Lapras shot was Hydro Pump, the dark orb Snorlax shot was maybe Hyper Beam. The yellow orange orb from Blastoise I think was Focus Blast. And maybe the attack Pikachu did on Vergil was Volt Tackle.

The dark orb was definitely not Hyper Beam (Hyper Beam is a giant orange laser); it was Shadow Ball.

@Shoutmon: Grimlock transforming is fine; Snorlax would actually let go as soon as he started doing that anyway. As for your move guesses...

Charizard's beam he's been shooting around is actually dragon pulse; he doesn't even know flamethrower. The blades attack was air slash.

The torrent of water from Lapras was actually brine, not hydro pump. (He just hasn't hit any of you with it so I haven't been able to describe that it's specifically salty water.)

And Pikachu's attack was actually quick attack. He just has the static ability so coming into contact with him at all means you get shocked.

And as Thrall said, the dark orb was shadow ball.

-double checks- Oh. Snorlax can learn it. Silly me. I came to that conclusion 'cause that was the only attack I knew for sure Snorlax could learn that was of that color was Hyper Beam, which is now a dark purple in recent anime instead of orange.

Also, if you'll allow me to be a geek for a moment, the moveset makes some sense. Lapras having Brine 'cause the burn chance is good enough to have physical attackers be wary of having their attacks halved, boosting Lapras's tanking abilities. Snorlax having Shadow Ball 'cause, well, Snorlax's Same Type Attack Boost, or STAB, can't affect Ghost types. Charizard because that it's best Flying type STAB move and Pikachu having Quick Attack to easily finish off low HP Pokemon because it has priority, as in, it will always go first (unless of course the opponent uses something of higher priority like Protect).

In case you're wondering, no, I didn't compete in competitions before, but I did do Pokemon Showdown for a while, read smogon analysis pages a lot to do so and read some more so that I could beat the PWT in Black 2. It was really helpful. I used a Rain team with Politoad, Dragonite, Scizor, Toxicroak, Kingdra and Kabutops in Triple Battle format.

AND IT WAS REALLY REALLY GOOD BECAUSE IT WAS SO PRETTY AND I LIKE HOW THE MOVIE FOCUSED ON JACK FROST BECAUSE HE WAS THE BEST CHARACTER AND ALSO BECAUSE IT ALLOWED FOR A LOT OF AMUSING INTERACTIONS WITH SIDE CHARACTERS AND ALSO PERIPHERAL DEVELOPMENT OF ALL THE OTHER GUARDIANS BECAUSE EACH ONE OF THEM GOT THEIR OWN ALONE SCENE WITH JACK TO HELP HIM AND THEMSELVES GROW AS CHARACTERS AND ALSO SO DID PITCH BLACK EVEN THOUGH HE'S A VILLAIN BUT HE'S A REALLY GOOD VILLAIN

AND NOT EVERYTHING WENT EXPLAINED BUT THAT'S OKAY BECAUSE IT'S THE KIND OF MOVIE WHERE SOME THINGS THAT DON'T MAKE MUCH SENSE AT FIRST GLANCE CAN BE EASILY EXPLAINED WITH FRIDGE BRILLIANCE BECAUSE THE MOVIE TAKES ITS AUDIENCE SERIOUSLY AND DOESN'T SPELL EVERYTHING OUT FOR THE YOUNG KIDS

Nitpick: Brine does double damage when the target's under half HP. The water move that burns is Scald, which Lapras can't learn.

@Yomegami: Oh. Whoops. It seems I'm more out of practice with Pokemon than I thought. Either that, or it's my drowsiness. Still makes sense though.

@Deadbeatloser: How so? I was mostly thinking he's cool from his design. And I like Gentle Giant characters, like FullMoon, almost always automatically, so there.

He's also pretty dang overpowered.

Every other game, the Play of the Game is a Bastion mowing down like 5 people.

I've not actually seen a Bastion POTG. Most of the ones I've seen have been Reapers.

Apart from the time I got this one.

I forgot for a bit that Jack still doesn't know everyone can see him, or interact with him. Getting hit has definitely confused him now.

And Jack is feeling personally attacked with these try-hards stealing his thing and using it to hurt people, @Firock Finion. Shame on you.

@Alleydodger: What? It's not my fault that blizzard is a really good first gen pokemon move and therefore three of Red's team know it.

Besides, they don't really have any other AOE attacks and you guys have them outnumbered more than 2 to 1. (And that's not counting the tons of crappy clones that some of you made.)
