Definitely something I'm going to be watching carefully. It's an aesthetic I've always loved - striving hunter-gatherer societies at the center of a post-apocalyptic landscape, beset by ancient technological nightmares they only barely understand.
... I can't really think of anything else like that right now, but it's neat.
Those are some great mecha too, love their technorganic appearance.
Heh, looks like this was leaked a long time ago. I knew this was something familiar. Hell, I even made thread about it.

It's funny how many people thought this was gonna be an RPG because they hired a Fallout writer some years back.
Turns out he was hired for a very different reason.
In any case, I love this game's aesthetic. Something about the tribal imagery against the high-tech organic machinery is just nuts.
Horizon and Dreams are the two new properties announced at Sony's conference that I'll be keeping my eye on. I love the wildlife designs and the fact that they'll be pitting you against creatures much bigger than you, I like the way the world looks, and I like the premise and character they've presented.
Yeah I'm just gonna get a PS 4 now if that's okay
After I get a Vita
And the Danganronpa games
What is a fandom? A miserable little pile of flame wars! 3DS FC: 0387-9377-7408 PSN ID: Raven King SageIt's like Monster Hunter but with more of a Bio Punk feel to it. I hear it's going to be some kind of open world RPG too? Could be neato.
Hope you can customize your character if it is. I like Red Sonja over here's design, but I generally prefer to make my own characters...
True to form, Sony nearly chickened out about making the game's protagonist a woman, of all things. Glad that they came around - the gaming industry really needs more female characters.
"We'll take the next chance, and the next, until we win, or the chances are spent."This game looks pretty great.
Schild und Schwert der ParteiYou're Ygritte fighting robot dinosaurs! What's not to love?
http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2015/06/poll_what_was_your_favourite_playstation_game_of_e3_2015
According to this poll, 36% of 94 people voting liked this game the most of all the exclusives shown at this year's E3, followed by Uncharted 4 at 10%.
94 people is a pretty useless sample size, I feel.
@ Badwolf21 Wait a minute...
Don't tell me the ending will involve her getting shot by arrows, then a John Snow Expy shows up and she says "You know nothing Nhat Do..." and dies.

Aloy was inspired by Ellen Ripley and Ygritte.
That was where they started when they came up with the idea of the game.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureThat... explains a lot of things actually.
This thing looks intense.

Looking pretty good. Very monster Hunter influenced in terms of taking down monsters.
Watch SymphogearNew trailer from E3 - release Feb 2017 though. Looks pretty damn cool!
Assin creed style skill wheel, some climbing and a bit of an open world. Interesting boss elements too!
Another vid popped up from the latest Playstation Meeting thing. This one is a gameplay trailer showing off the game running on the new PS 4 Pro:
Also, it looks like she's wearing a slightly different outfit from the other trailers. Can the player change costumes at will? Or is it just something that automatically changes as the story goes on?

The alternate clothes are obtained from visiting different tribes, and they serve as upgrades.
Wow. Pretty. Bit more of a view of how the creatures are interactable at least.
Did notice the Tomb Raider / Uncharted white painted climb points, but hey seems to be a staple of open world parkour now. But it is a tad obvious.
Love the climbing the droid element though. Definitely one to watch.
Damn, that is a thing. Going back as far as Assassin's Creed, which had white sheets at certain points where free-running 'routes' started, and currently I'm playing The Witcher 3, in which the climbing points are also often marked in white.
I get a "too good to be true" kind of vibe from these trailers.
Although the theme and great delivery would probably be enough to carry it even if it there's a downgrade, it's like...I almost don't believe the level of polish I'm seeing on my screen.
"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018
Yeah it is HUGELY noticeable in W3. Oddly, Shadow of Mordor DIDN'T have it, and as such sometimes it felt weird climbing things. And oddly more open.
Either way this is more interesting to me than yet another open world city. Plus more appealing than Far Cry Primal.
Query though - wonder what everyone EATS. Seems that damn near every animal is a machine. Is everyone vegan now?!

I remember in one of the videos, Aloy (and I really like that name for some reason) seemed to be after the green stuff that the 'herbivores' were carrying in containers. Maybe that's a foodstuff to humans. It'd still necessarily be a plant product though.
...if there are no biological animals (other than humans), shitting and decomposing, how do nutrients return to the soil? It seems reasonable to assume the machines would produce waste, possibly in a form plants can use, but they still don't decompose...
Because Robot Dinosaurs are awesome.
