Spawnwave did an in-depth look at the Switch's power.
TL;DW: It's comparable to the Wii U on paper, but has all sorts of optimisations to push it further.

6 future Sega Ages titles were revealed today (in Japanese, but Sega of America confirmed they are coming to the west). Included titles that I can positively ID (either from the screenshots or the comments) are Shinobi, Wonder Boy in Monster Land, G-Loc Air Battle, Fantasy Zone, and Herzog freaking Zwei. (The first game, the one in the upper-left, I can't get a good ID on.)
And before anyone asks, yes, Herzog Zwei is the game that served as the inspiration / basis for Airmech.
Will the transhumanist future have catgirls? Does Japan still exist? Well, there is your answer. — UnknownApparently the trailer that was shown was glitched, and the frame rate was actually fine when it was separately uploaded.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectHellblade running on Switch looks...amazing?
Edit: More off-screen footage from yesterday

This month, we're getting Punch-out, Star Soldier, and SMB The Lost Levels. I'd complain about how that last one never got a localized release until Mario All-Stars, but a, it did get localized for All-Stars, so they just need to pull that script, and b, given how little text is in the NES era Mario games, it shouldn't have taken more than a day to patch the ROM.
Will the transhumanist future have catgirls? Does Japan still exist? Well, there is your answer. — UnknownDidn't Lost Levels get a Wii VC release?
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? All of the Mario games up to the N64 got a VC release on the Wii.
From the Switch subreddit: a Spanish ad says Mario Maker 2 will launch on June 21st.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Oh. Then they're likely taking that version and converting it to whatever format the Switch Online app uses, assuming that isn't the standard VC format in the first place.
Will the transhumanist future have catgirls? Does Japan still exist? Well, there is your answer. — UnknownWeirdly, I have a distinct memory of seeing a NES on sale with Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels as a pack-in game. A PAL version. Based on the location of my memory, this would have been the mid-90s. In my mind, it had the same graphics as Super Mario Bros, but based on time it might just have been a SNES with All-Stars and my memory is conflating things.
Ukrainian Red CrossAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. You've heard of the fabled Twitter Direct. You've seen the mystical Patch Direct. But now it's time to go further with the legendary Best Buy Direct, the one true successor to Walmart Canada.
??? First the Smash Joker render from the other day now this triple decker?! Is Best Buy going rogue?!
If that's true, I may have to purchase it for the third time :P
Or not, if the Wii version ends up being definitive due to the control scheme.
For context, it seems Best Buy has not only leaked Metroid Prime Trilogy, but also a Link to the Past as well.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."@Hunter
There's nothing TO localize or patch. The original Japanese version already had its palty text in English so there's literally no work involved other than making it available for other regions.
And HOLY SHIT PRIME TRILOGY FOR SWITCH! I mean, I have it on my Wii U and the original games for their respective consoles, but I'm too lazy to drag them out just to play them.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Hm... so first Link's Awakening in the last general direct, then Cadence of Hyrule in the indie direct, and now possibly A Link to the Past. That's an interesting streak. If this proves to be true, at least, which who knows. It's not unheard of for these kinds of "leaks" to fizzle out and go nowhere, after all. x3
So, instead you'll spend more money on a new version?
Then again, I own both the Wii U versions of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, in addition to the Wii version of the latter and the original gamecube version of the former, so perhaps I should zip my lips.
One Strip! One Strip! And what is this Link to the Past about? Is it just the SNES ROM? A remake?
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order. If Steven put up their Wii U as well, it means setting up the Wii U in order to play it, making more work in order to even play it.
I personally have my Wii U still out even if I don't play it, so it would be easier for me to play its games if I want to.
We don't know, not yet. I fully doubt it would be part of the Nintendo Switch Online games app considering the NES-NSO games aren't on systems like this.
If I had to guess, we're either getting a version of VC or this will be a remake likely in a similar style to Link's Awakening.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Well also, my room is pretty cramped at the moment, so it'd be a pain in the ass to move stuff around just to get my old consoles connected.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order. Those games would make for a pretty killer direct.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectMultiple employees have checked and it's real.
This means that a Direct is highly likely within the next couple of weeks with a decent chance of an announcement tomorrow for a Direct on Thursday.
And a Direct was always likely. Mario Maker 2 needed a launch date and Nintendo would need a place to get a few smaller titles out of the way before the already packed E3. They've done this before, but usually two weeks before E3, but that was when they had two systems to deal with.
EDIT: Here's the full list of Nintendo's most recent block of Best Buy SKU's with unknowns blank I stole from Reset ERA:

So, we have around 15 currently unannounced games in this block alone.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."LTTP apparently getting a remake announced soon is odd. Partially because of the LA remake being announced just two months ago, partially because LBW was already a quasi-remake. Maybe the LTTP remake is more ambitious to the point of Genre Shift, like the FF7 remake?note
Then again, I guess it wouldn't be the first time Nintendo announced two strikingly similar games within a few months of each other.

Apparently Assassin's Creed 3s framerate issues from the reveal trailer were fixed?
